Considering I saw this while visiting a paranormal museum I was wondering if this was supposed to be there.

I often tell the story of the day I nearly crapped myself while running at my favorite trail. Eastern Diamondbacks are known to be in the area however Iโve never seen one, only heard it. That day, I was running and as I was passing a bush I heard the distinct rattle right by foot followed by a quick rustle of leaves. I was going too quick for it to register at the time but I must have come within inches of the snake and never saw it.
Today, I saw this beauty from a ways away at the end of my run. Iโm going to pretend like I was overcome with a desire to photograph the snake which is why I stopped and not because I was dying in the brutal Florida heat.
First one Iโve seen down here in several years and the last time I saw one I hardly cared. I appreciate them much more now and it was a pleasure to watch for a few minutes. Eventually it calmed down and stopped rattling and flattened out at which point I went back to running and not being able to breathe.

At a reservoir in northern NJ and this Turtle is brushed up on the fence less than 20 feet from the water. Does it need help going back in the water? Not sure what this behavior is.

A neighbor called and said she needed help getting a lizard out of her apartment. I figured it would be a green anole or baby gecko. I got there and she said it was under a box and very large. We slid cardboard under it and brought it outside. I was shocked to see a probably 10โ tail to snoot Texas Spiny Lizard. At least I think thatโs what it is. Iโve never seen one with such beautiful color on the back. Also maybe the chillest lizard Iโve ever captured to release outside.

Of course, I made sure to let it go. Iโm positive that itโs a female, since the throat wasnโt as dark as an adult maleโs throat and matches the color of the belly. In addition to that, this one was kinda chonky.

Iโm living in Central Asia, which is not really rich in herps biodiversity , but anyways sometimes I go hiking and spot some birds, but never herps(and thatโs logical, because itโs mountains, not a tropical forest). In future I want to live in Florida and build a herpetologist career there. I have a book โHerpetologyโ(4th edition) written by Vitt&Caldwell but sometimes I just slip and watch YouTube๐ญ. Also, I have a leopard gecko Delta, who is 4 m.o. and I love him so much!! Iโm sorry for my English, itโs not my native language, and Iโm trying to learn it very much.

Both of them were lighter in person than they show up in pics. Iโve seen 4 or 5 around my house in the last week, spread out over about a 50yd area. Theyโve all been young so Iโm wondering if maybe they actually from one clutch of eggs or if itโs actually somewhat common?
