I’m fuming right now because the new Siri is an absolute useless garbage. It cannot even play or pause podcasts, doesn‘t understand the difference between a chapter in an episode and an episode itself, and every single thing takes 5 to 10 seconds. How can they even ship something like this? I don’t need to discuss my day or plan a vacation every single time I talk with Siri, but I do need to pause something while I’m in the shower, or turn the freaking lights on when I’m in a difficult situation at night. It’s a complete shit-show.

When taking a screenshot, there is plenty of space at the top to add a single-tap "Save to Photos" button. This would be much faster than tapping the checkmark and selecting "Save to Photos" from the slow and annoyingly animated context menu.

In my notes app on my phone and my laptop, one of my notes are gone. I had so many things written in it, I need it. I don’t why it’s gone. I didn’t delete it, it’s not in recently deleted. I seriously don’t I even had it open, so it’s not like I accidentally pressed “Select All” and the delete, which if I did I would’ve noticed because I’m very careful with that. My stomach hurts and my hands are shaking. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how Apple could help. I even tried the Settings thing to see the iCloud sync thing but the number of items it says I have in my notes isn’t showing like a missing one. I feel stupid I feel like I should’ve put it in Google docs or something. I feel like I should’ve never opened the app today cause I was writing notes on a different tab and I feel like that screwed something up somehow.

How is sending a text with my voice still this frustrating in 2026. Apple dictation is actually driving me insane. I say a sentence and then spend longer fixing than it would've taken to type. WHY.

Ans the alternative make this even more annoying. WHY is Apple's dictation so crap but they are blocking literally every other software trying to solve problem? Brother Im replying "yeah sounds good let's meet at 3AM" to a message . Why are we doing all this.

I use Willow voice on my Mac and it's a DREAMMM! no drama whatsover. Which makes me going back to dictation on my iphone so much painful because I KNOW how good this can be. Ive resorted to replying to all of my messages and emails on Mac because Willow voice just gets everything Apple dictation doesnt

Apple please please please wither fix your dictation or let me use something else without the whole app switching routine. I do not have this muchh patience for a microphone button

trying to do do a little paintbrush edit in markup and now for some reason these blue dots are appearing and won’t let me paint where I want to. And when I touch the area a text box like suggestion appears, then when I touch that it changes what I’ve painted into “two asterisks.” Seems like some weird auto correct type thing but it’s ruining what I’m trying to do and I’m irate.

Help ! There’s this toolbar that suddenly appeared on the top part of my screen while I was typing in Messages. I don’t know what triggered it but I wasn’t able to take a screenshot of it. I wanna know how I can make it show up again. 😅 Anyone have any idea about it ?

I just want to edit the number i’ve circled in red but i can’t find a way to change it other than deleting everything after it and writing it all again. I know ive gone and done the thing where you spend 20 minutes writing a reddit post about an issue with a 5 second fix but what if you’ve written out a super long equation and need to go back and edit something near the beginning after taking multiple measurements or something? Even the $20 casio scientific calculator i normally use has a cursor for editing things, so i don’t see why there wouldn’t be a cursor in the iphone calculator. I’m also aware that math notes is a thing, but if you’re gonna tell me about that i’m sure you also know that math notes genuinely sucks nuts and doesn’t work a good 85% of the time on iphone. I am specifically asking about the scientific calculator function in this app. If you have an answer, thanks!!!

Edit: I just went to double check my Settings again, hoping to find something, and under Display & Brightness, at the very bottom, I'm pretty sure there's a setting that wasn't there before. "Display Zoom" was set to Larger Text, and changing it to Default immediately brought everything down to a size that actually seems even smaller than I was able to get it before.

I suppose I received some kind of update it just didn't tell me about? I have no idea why Larger Text would be the default setting, when the smaller option is literally called Default. But that seems to be problem solved.

I've just woken up and went to check my notifications, and everything on screen is noticeably larger. Notifications, text in apps, the keyboard, even navigation buttons in Safari are running into each other. Bizarrely, the only thing that doesn't seem to be blown up is the Settings.

Zoom is not enabled, I have the text size set to the minimum it will allow (which was already larger than I really wanted it to be), and I did not restart the phone of receive any updates that I'm aware of.

I can't find any information about this happening to anyone else, or even a hint at how to possibly fix it. Is there any way at all to get the text size or display scaling to go any smaller? A third party app or a hidden developer setting? Do I need to jailbreak my phone just to get reasonable text sizing? It feels like nothing fits on the screen and it's borderline unusable.

Is there any way to workaround or otherwise stop Siri forcing me to unlock my iPhone before it can confirm what time an alarm is set for? I’m not wanting to set an alarm, change an alarm or delete an alarm, just check if one is set and what time for, but it forces me to unlock my iPhone before it’ll tell me. Am I doing something wrong?

How come I can control my entire home via Siri without my phone being unlocked, but I can’t confirm what time an alarm is set for‽

I’m having some bugs with my iPhone 15, so I’m planning to back up my entire iPhone to iCloud, factory reset it, and then restore everything from the iCloud backup.

Is this safe? Will my iPhone be exactly the same as it was before the factory reset, including my apps, settings, photos, messages, and other data?

I want to back up and restore using a computer, but I don’t have access to a PC or Mac. That’s why I subscribed to Apple’s 2TB iCloud+ storage.

Can anyone explain how this works and whether there’s anything I should be careful about before resetting my iPhone?

I finally have a working version of my first Apple shortcut build worth mentioning after an admittedly steep learning curve the last few months.

The shortcut fixes the EXIF dates on an Instagram archive dump I recently pulled from my account. I was able to do it all without leaving iOS or using the terminal!

When I pulled the IG archive, I was unhappy to find that the export had hundreds of photos spanning years, but all stamped with the same export date. The only surviving date info was the folder names ( YYYYmm ). The shortcut makes a backup archive then reads those folder dates, and rewrites each photo’s EXIF capture date to the first day of that month.

I used the Shortcuts Actions app, since Apple gives you no native way to write EXIF dates. It works, but I’m sure a more experienced eye could tear the build apart. Anyone want to review the shortcut or trade notes on handling the video files? Happy to share the link and the full breakdown.

Or if you just need your IG dump EXIF dated, I hope you can use this!

I have had my live activities on for Apple Sports and ESPN Fantasy so they would automatically turn on whenever any of the teams I follow on Apple Sports plays a game, and whenever there were NFL games being played for ESPN Fantasy Football. Over the past two weeks or so, they have not turned on automatically. If I manually go on Apple Sports and click "Follow", the live activities will appear. No way to manually do it for Fantasy. I have looked through all settings both on settings app and on individual apps. I've restarted my phone multiple times. I've deleted the apps and redownloaded them. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The messages are being sent and received but not in order I think, at least not properly, it’s not at all ordered based on time I sent, clumped up in the bottom with all my sent messages not according to the order I sent You see the blue bar at the top going from left to right, that’s the problem wtf is that doing there when there is plenty of internet connection

Ps: It happens in all chats, ICloud is full but iMessages is on for backup, everything works fine for a while when I restart the phone, also sometimes it’s all my messages disappeared and only the replies I got is shown on the screen on the left side stacked up, else it’s all my messages first then all of their messages under it.

I really need some effective advice it’s been happening since 2 days and it’s really annoying and bugging me.

So i just updated from 27 to 27.0.1 and the visual image search within the screenshot tool got removed? It was available with 27 and now it disappeared.
