AskIndy Does Indianapolis have enough smaller concert/event venues?

Seems like for a city its size Indy should be getting a lot more musical artists stopping here for tours. But I see small to mid fame artists go to Kansas City, Louisville, Minneapolis, Pittsburg and other smaller cities and not stop in Indy. Is it because we lack smaller venues? Or are we toO close to Chicago ? Or are smaller non country artists afraid to stop here because of the conservatism of the state.

AskIndy Found cat who I do not believe has a home. More context in description ⬇️

Hello! This sweet girl randomly started showing up at my apartments. I don’t drive so I’m unable to take her to see if she is chipped, but I left a note on the door of each of the buildings here asking if she was anyone’s and no one has responded- I’ve had a few neighbors move recently though and I think she may have been left here by one of them, which is really sad. I do not see her belonging to someone as an “outside cat” as I feed her nightly and she is STARVING every time.

I called Johnson County animal control and they literally told me since she isn’t aggressive/it’s not freezing, they can’t come get her. I said so what should I do? And they told me to leave her outside. Swear. That is so disgusting to me that I can’t even think about it, so anyways…

Im posting here hoping someone who has the capacity to help lead to her being inside safe & warm somewhere sees. It will be getting cold soon & I really want to try to find her a home before then :( She’s so sweet, she follows me the entire time I walk my dogs around the neighborhood (she does fine with them too!). I just don’t have the room to bring her in , I have too many as is lol.

She doesn’t have a scared or feral bone in her , she just purrs and purrs. & she’s so fluffy lol. No fleas either!

So if anyone would be interested in taking her in your home & family, or even has any resources for me that I can call for her, pls let me know 💗

**Greenwood, IN**

newish to indy and still figuring out the rhythm here

moved here not long ago and honestly still feel like a tourist in my own neighborhood. trying to find a spot near the hospital that's open late when my schedule gets weird, and maybe a trail or park where people actually go on random weekday mornings. what do folks here actually do on a sunday when it's too cold to be outside for long? just want to feel a little less like a stranger around here.

This could be very interesting.. I'm really tired of this mall. It's not been functional for over 20 years and is such an eyesore.

What are your thoughts?

Things to do in Indianapolis — right now?

We built now.me to answer the "what should we do tonight?" question without digging through five different sites.

It's completely free.

The Indianapolis live events website lists things to do, shows, concerts, and events coming up around town. Worth a look if you're planning the weekend.

The app (iPhone / iOS / Android) goes beyond events. Open it wherever you are and it shows what's nearby right now: restaurants, bars, museums, and other things to do.

We are actively working on it, so feedback from people who live here is really valuable. If something's missing or wrong for Indianapolis, let me know in the comments or by DM.

Are there any compounding pharmacies in the area?

• Upvotes

HI, I just moved to Indiana and my husband has an autoimmune condition that requires a specialty medication. We only have primary care doctors here so far, so does anyone have recommendations for a compounding or specialty pharmacy that's local?

18+ Halloween Events?

Hey, I'm from out state and go to school to indy, are there any kind of 18+ halloweens events going on this weekend or next? I don't turn 21 until march so it kind of limits my options but my home city has a lot of 18+ bars and events so I was curious

Places to vacuum your car on the west side

Is there anywhere that has self service vacuums for your car over on the west side? Like broad ripple, eagle creek, speedway type area? I don’t want to go to crew car wash. I just want an old fashioned self service place.

Employment Anyone in Indianapolis doing DoorDash or thinking about starting?

Curious how DoorDash has been going for people in Indianapolis lately.
Are there enough orders to make it worthwhile for new drivers? I’ve seen a referral offer where qualifying new drivers can get a $400 bonus after completing 150 deliveries within 60 days.
Wondering if anyone wants to use my refer to sign up.
