Politics Indy Voting : Election Day Questions
Hey all!
I just finished training as a Clerk on Election Day. There are lot of questions, especially since there has been a lot of social media posts casting doubts on the process, so I'm here to try to answer questions.
I'm no expert, but the training is quite thorough. So hit me with your questions that you might have about the processes of voting on Election day.

Where is the best place to get a proper doner kebab in Indy?
I’m not looking for some “deconstructed,” “concept of a kebab” pretentious horseshit. Just a Turkish dude who calls every customer”Boss” or “Big Man” and has a big, rotating display of meat that he will sell to me when I’m half assholed drunk.
EDIT: I’m so fucking sorry that I didn’t put the two dots above “doner”. I’m looking for bullshit drink food, not a goddamn foreign language lesson.

Heading into town on a Saturday December 12th for the Pistons @ Pacers game. St. Elmo is booked. Where else for a formal dinner for two?
We’ve been for a Lions @ Colts and Pistons @ Pacers game the last couple of years but never stayed the weekend. We usually just bar hop and eat good food. This year, we plan on doing something more formal.

Anyone hired a moving service to move only a few big items a short distance?
Title. I’m moving literally a mile away from where I’m currently located and while I don’t need a full service mover, I have a shelf and a dresser that are both pretty heavy. Has anyone used a service to just move a couple large items like this they can recommend?
Thank you!

Discussion Irsay YMCA Pool Closed
Does anyone know what's going on wth the pool? It's been closed for almost a month now, and they originally said the issue was maintenance-related or something equally vague. No timeline is given, and they closed the whole area down. Would be nice to have it working again sometime this year.

Looking for Latino/Asian grocery stores and authentic pupusas near south Indy
Hi! I recently moved here from MD and am looking for recommendations for grocery stores that carry a good selection of Latino and Asian foods. Something similar to HMart or MegaMart (iykyk)
Also, does anyone have recommendations for good, authentic Salvadoran or Guatemalan food south of Indy? For pupusas, I came across Pupuseria Casa Maria on Google Maps, but it's a bit of a drive for me, so I was wondering if there are any other spots worth checking out that might be closer.
I'm also looking for places that have Guatemalan tamales wrapped in banana leaves rather than corn husks!
Pls help me, I've been craving food from home ever since I moved here :'(

Housing Want out of a lease from hell
Here’s the quickest overview I could come up with about my situation. I just signed up for Indiana legal help so I’m hoping I can get some legal advice on what to do and see what a lawyer says.
I moved into Meridian Court South Apartments at the end of August and have been fighting for my life ever since. When I moved in the washer was covered in black mold and they only replaced the seal when I threatened the health department. I was told they would replace the whole thing but that never happened.
My upstairs neighbors are the worst people in the planet. I have put in 7 noise complaints. It’s music and wresting and running all day everyday. It affects my sleep and overall enjoyment of my home. Even guests come over and wonder wtf is going on. I had to put my dog on anxiety medicine when we moved in that’s how bad it is. Not to mention they do drugs of some kind and have dropped paraphernalia onto my patio in multiple occasions, including a glass bong that shattered everywhere that I had to clean up.
Last but not least I found a leak and mold forming in the cieling of my bathroom and they sent a guy out who spray painted over it.
I have now contacted the health department and am calling the cops nightly until they come out to warn them but I want out of this lease.
Thoughts?
Update: I have a very large and consistently growing paper trail. Tons of documents including recordings, phone calls, witness statements and emails (that they have ever responded too!

Things To Do Bottleworks Recommendations?
Meeting some people in the Bottleworks District this afternoon at the Living Room Theater. I have never been to is area before and I know there is alot of stuff to do and restaurants there but I dont have any idea what exactly there is. So what are some recommendations for things I can do or eat before or after the theater? For restaurants I am not looking for anything too fancy or expensive.

Sports Curious as to what the vibe is at Indians games?
I might be moving to Indy within the next year and am a huge Chicago White Sox baseball fan. Not gonna lie, a little disappointed that Indy doesn’t have a MLB team. However, Triple-A is technically the next best thing.
I’ve never been to Victory Field. Is it a good ballpark? For context, the only MiLB games I’ve attended before are South Bend Cubs games, who are a High-A team. While their ballpark is nice, the atmosphere is basically comparable to a retirement home. Nobody cares about the outcomes of those games. Is it different for the Indians?

Long line at IND Southwest check in desk
If anyone is flying out of IND today and has to drop checked bags at Southwest desk, get there early. The line goes from the Southwest desk on the north side all the way to the far south side and is wrapped about the lobby. I’ve never seen it that long.

Any intrument shops where I can an old guitar restrung and maybe have the fretboard cleaned?
Decided to try playing again, but all I have is an old acoustic guitar that hasn't been played properly in years. It's kind of dusty and just needs a bit of TLC. To be honest I've forgotten basic maintenance and don't want to damage it, so taking it to someone with experience might be a better choice for me. I'd rather not go to a guitar center if anyone knows of any local shops. I live near Riverside Park, but could travel anywhere in the city today. Any info appreciated.

Basketball assignors for middle and high school, preferably in the east side.
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew who to connect with about getting basketball games assigned. I got my IHSSA certification this year and would like to pick up games, especially for the schools on the east side that struggle to get officials.
I have Eventlink, arbiter, and assigner accounts as I officiate a couple other sports. Just new to basketball.
Thanks in advance indy fam.
