UPDATE THE VET SAID HE WAS SHOT RUNNING AWAY! One rear leg is shattered and the other has an entry and exit wound.Memphis

HE WAS FOUND WITH 1 BULLET IN HIM. He is alive and at the vet

According to the Muncie family, police entered their backyard on October 15th. Their puppy, Memphis, who has never shown anything but love toward people, reportedly startled a rookie officer. In response, the officer fired three shots at Memphis.

Memphis ran off, and it is unclear whether he was injured.

This happened in the middle of the city, in a highly populated area!

His elderly owners are extremely worried and fear the worst.

Please help find Memphis!!

Why is it considered acceptable for a police officer to fire three potentially deadly shots at a puppy in a populated area?

I am checking to see if there would be any interest in a weekly energy focused workshop. There would be a Q&A session/discussion on Applied Trancendental Philosophy, a group guided meditation session, and then some time for 1-on-1 guidance/lifecoaching.

Let me know if there is any interest! I will be ready with the space in November so reserve your spot soon!

We’ve been going to trunk or treats for 5 years and it’d be cool to do it the old fashioned way. I had so much fun as a kid going door to door and walking 8 miles for candy, yknow? Do any of these neighborhoods still give out candy because ours doesn’t.

Long shot. But is anyone playing in a slowpitch league that needs a sub this week? I'm visiting for work and evenings are BORING if I don't wanna go spend money. Open to men's or coed teams, rec or any level really.

Still fairly new to slowpitch, but grew up playing baseball and I coach now, so the knowledge base is pretty much there. Not a power hitter, but I can find a gap pretty well and I'm decently quick. 8-10 so far for my first season.

Solid fielder. Currently swapping between LCF, SS and 3rd, but will play anywhere you want me. Good arm, good at tracking fly balls. Decently quick, I'll either get to the ball for an out or hold it for a single most of the time.

Lmk! Will be there thru Thursday night this week (10/16)

For anyone who hasn't heard about our grassroots campaign yet, Our State, Our Bat is a citizen led effort to designate our incredible native Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis) as our official state mammal! 🦇💚

What started as a simple idea has grown into an amazing statewide movement. Thanks to community members stepping up, we’ve already secured official municipal support, organizational backing, and best of all, a state representative who is officially authoring the bill for the upcoming 2027 legislative session!

Now, we are in the final home stretch. Our petition is currently sitting at 4,231 signatures, and our goal is to hit 5,000 by the end of this month when the campaign concludes, so we can prep our complete legislative packet.

We need all the support we can get from our local neighbors to cross that finish line. If you haven't signed yet, please take a quick second to add your name, and help us spread the word to your friends, family, and local groups.

Let’s make our little Hoosier Heroes official, Indiana! Sign the petition here: https://c.org/JrdDXNvVh8

With all the Flock cameras in Muncie, there are bound to be government officials abusing the system and at the very least selling out our information to whoever asks for it.

in town for a couple days and wanting to try a couple local coffee shops. what are the best ones and what are the best thing to get there?

I’m new to town and looking at getting a new tattoo. I’m not opposed to going to Indy, but wanted to see if there were some decent shops in Muncie first.

The gospel is the message of God's love towards humans to redeem them from complete separation from Him.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world (unsaved, unholy, liars, theifs, the seemly unredeemable etc) that He gave His son that whosoever (anyone) believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

God will not condemn you

God empowers you to live above sin

The gospel is for ALL.

Right now, Indiana bats are entering their "swarming" phase. Flying in and out of cave entrances to congregate with their colonies and mate before winding down for winter hibernation.

Meanwhile, the Our State, Our Bat colony is ramping up to “swarm” the General Assembly by showing lawmakers just how badly Hoosiers want the Indiana bat to be our official state mammal! 🏛️✨

To do so, we need a massive push to spread the word and get our petition signatures climbing! Head to the link below to sign, share with your friends and family, and help us make history! 💚

Stay Batty Indiana!

Thinking about starting a small casual recurring movie night group. Grab a beer and see a movie at AMC Muncie. Maybe weekly or every other week. No pressure, no film analysis stuff. Just hang out. If that sounds fun, drop a comment. We'll line up a first try.

I have recently started a removal service for riding lawn mowers and small engines of all kinds. If you have something taking up space in your yard I would be happy to get it removed free of charge! Reach out if you’d like to support our start up. Thank you.

I’m trying to see if I can find any abandoned factory buildings or even just fenced up plots of land. I can’t find where the old Hartley Truck Parts was located specifically, and would like to know if anyone knows where any of these locations are? I’m not planning on trespassing or going into any of them, but just take a picture of them. Already found the old Chevy factory and the Ball Brothers location, and curious if anyone else knows anywhere else?

Anyone been to this and did the lady approach you? Apparently they got caught pushing this on clients. What happens to these girls now?

How do people who work in office/non manufacturing roles like their jobs? I’ve heard about the manufacturing side and I know they were closed due to flooding for awhile.

I moved to Muncie for a job and I’m meh on the job, but I am enjoying my time in the Muncie area, so I’m thinking about looking for another similar job. Progress Rail has a couple that are posted, but they’ve been up for awhile, which makes me nervous. Not sure if it’s a sign they suck to work for or if they have a hard time getting candidates.

I have 10+ years of experience as a buyer and business analyst. My current job has excellent benefits and PTO, so I’m taking my time finding a different job instead of needing a job asap.

My roomate and I have couches we need to get rid of. The green one is roughly 60lbs. However the faded white couch is up to 200lbs as it is a pullout. If interested send a message if you want both or only one and when works best to pick it all up.

HOOSIER HEROES 💚🦇

Did you know insect eating bats provide at least $3.7 BILLION in free agricultural pest control every year in the U.S.? They protect our corn, soybeans, and timber by eating thousands of crop-damaging bugs while we sleep.

Here in Indiana, our native bats are a vital part of that natural defense system. Tiny, endangered, and essential.

That’s why the grassroots campaign, Our State, Our Bat, is working to build statewide support to designate the endangered Myotis sodalis (Indiana bat) as our official state mammal and protect the limestone caves and forests they call home.
