SHOWOFF 2024 Street Glide Stage 2
Hi all!
Just thought I’d share the results of my recent Stage 2 upgrade on my 2024 Street Glide.
Very happy with the results!
My set up is -
Screamin’ Eagle Heavy Breather
Vance & Hines power duel headers and Torquer 450 slip ons
Andrews 462 cam
Tuned with Dynojet
Ended up at 116hp and 130 torque. Bike is very smooth but has that extra pull right where you want it at the 2500-4000rpm.
No need to chase bigger numbers with a big bore! This is a great ride now!

IDENTIFY Does anyone have any info on this color? Can’t find anything online.
So I’m buying this 2015 Ultra Limited and this particular bike has paint I’ve never seen before, I do believe it’s a factory bike but just extremely rare. There is another color that was offered during the same year, Radioactive Green, that features the same exact style graphics. I will attach a pic.

IDENTIFY How can I tell if/when I need to replace my tires? Getting close to 10k.
'25 FXLRST. I've always been told you get about 10k out of a pair of tires, what can I keep an eye out for that will tell me when it's time for these?

SHOWOFF 21x2.15 90/90 long overdue
Went with a 90/90 metzler tire is a must or will be to skinny polished forks while I was there and threw on with some chrome spacers. Went through many forums not sharing experience with this size rim for a heritage so thought I’d share. Here are the chrome spacers. Plug n play no caliper issues or rubbing. No need for fender spacer lift (2001 heritage softail)

SHOWOFF Update on the SWMotech clone bags
A while ago I posted asking for the feedback on the SWMotech clone bags from Aliexpress (also available on amazon)...
Finally, they arrived and I assembled on the bike, so here it is, how they look.
Haven't ride far (or fast enough) yet, but will do it this week and let you guys know on how they hold up.
So far, pros:
- Bag seems to be made on a very good quality material, nice texture and finish on both of them
- The bags were shipped with the full assembly kit that allows to assemble with or without a sissy bar (learn that, motech --- 100 for a longer screw and spacer is unbelievable).
- Bags came with keys and key cylinders working.
- No need to replace anything on the bike, super easy to assemble.
Cons:
- Not waterproof (they come with a protective bag to add on top, tho)
- 2 different Keys and Key cylinders.
That's it, hope anyone looking for cheaper but good bags to find this out.
Ride safe.

DISCUSSION Post your high mileage bikes! Please include pics!
I met a woman who is the original owner of her 2014 SG. It has a 140k miles and is bone stock. No engine work has never been needed and doesn't consume any oil. She said she has only had routine maintenance done to it and is meticulous about that. I have always admired when people own a vehicle long term and rack up miles. Let's hear about some high mileage bikes and hopefully get a picture along with the story.

HELP Seat recommendations
Looking for aftermarket seat recommendations for a Softail Slim that doesn’t look like a pillow. The stock seat kills my tailbone after about an hour. Preferably a solo seat.

HELP heeeeeeelp
Hey guys, need some advice. I have a 2008 Dyna Fat Bob with the stock rotor that has the cup with spring washers attached to it. I decided to replace the compensator. I found a OEM-style compensator from Drag Specialties, but I can't find the replacement spring washers separately.
I also looked into the newer updated compensators from Screamin' Eagle (SE) and Harddrive, but they require switching to a different rotor, and I can't find the exact OEM part numbers that are compatible with my bike.
Additionally, I saw the springless compensator kits from Belt Drives Ltd (BDL). Has anyone here running them? I definitely don't want to go with a harsh solid sprocket.

DISCUSSION Trade my 07 RG for an 11 RK
In July I bought an 07 road glide with 70k miles. The seller had paperwork showing that the engine was rebuilt at 40k, it had blacked out forks, pipes were done, 8” pull back handle bar risers and upgraded suspension.
I love this bike and I’ve put almost 5k miles on it this summer.
But it’s showing its age. Last month the transmission went out and I had to replace it. Now the starter is showing signs it needs to be replaced.
Last night the guy I bought it from texted to ask if I wanted to trade it for the 2011 RK that he bought. The RK has 20k miles on it.
Kelly blue book and google say this deal is in my favor and I’m coming out ahead value wise.
I’m looking for opinions on this trade because I see this RG becoming a money pit and I can do some small jobs but I think changing the starter might be too much for me to do myself.

DISCUSSION FXLRST Shifting Jerkiness
Does anybody else have issues with the bike jerking when shifted into second gear? I used to just dump the clutch on all my previous bikes but when I do that on my 26 fxlrst I notice the bike wants to jerk forward every time. Am I letting go of the clutch too fast or not matching the rpms properly? I don’t want to damage the transmission.

TROUBLESHOOTING Need wiring help.
Help.
Which post would be the switched 12 volt lead and which is the trigger. Wiring diagrams only show wire color. Top post is red wire. Bottom is white with black stripe. Wire colors on the OEM ignition module were red, black and green.
Pretty sure green is for the VOES which I'm bypassing.

HELP Hog Members
Hello all, I am looking into motorcycle riding classes and was reading that hog members get an $100 discount for ridging classes? If possible can someone verify if that’s true? And if a hog member would be so kind as to provide a code for just discount it would be so greatly appreciated. Also if you have any tips for a first time rider or someone who is learning my god that would help. Please and thank you, have a good day. 👍

HELP Shovelhead motor sprocket nut question.
I’m switching over my 1974 fxe to open primary and I have tried three nuts for my motor sprocket and It won’t thread in. Everyone is saying 7/8-14 but it doesn’t fit. The compensator nut fits just fine so I know the threads aren’t the problem. I’m I missing something?
HELP Spongy Pedal after bleeding
2017 Road Glide Special
So I replaced my rear tire. First time messing with it so I split the rear caliper not knowing any better. Lesson learned. I’ve inspected the O ring there, looks perfect. No leak. Cleaned the mating surfaces.
So now to bleeding. I’ve bled them manually and with a vacuum bleeder but no matter what I still have a spongy pedal. Feels ok standing but soon as I go down the street it turns to crap. Not sure what else to try. It’s an ABS bike.
I never messed with the pedal or anything when I had it apart. No ABS light flashing at me. I’m
At a loss. Quick two pumps and it’s great.
Ideas?
