SHOWOFF First time Harley Owner

Been riding for 10+ years now but never owned a Harley prior to yesterday. Fell in love with this beautiful bike. Found it on Marketplace! 2005 Hertiage Softail with 15K miles. It purs so wonderful. My mother hasn't been on a Harley in nearly 40 years. Due to some possible unfortunate health issues, it may be her last ride but hopefully not. Regardless, the screams of joy she did yesterday was priceless! That memory will last much longer than this bike will ever!

I know lots of guys don’t like these. My kids can’t seem to not scratch my lids getting on and off. I’m not getting any younger or flexible either. I love how they look though they were a bitch to install having to stretch the vinyl over them.

Have had this setup about 2 years now and it’s been perfect. Valentine one gen 2 mounted between my headlights with a custom concealed 1v2 thin display tucked under the windshield. Great range and easy to see alerts.

I originally bought the bike and it came with a rifle roadster fairing. I like the look of it, but the windshield is cracked and they do not sell replacement since it is discontinued. I like the look of a full fairing, but I’m also open to quarter fairings as well I would love to see some pictures and ideas.

Harley Davidson 41000161 Engine Control Module X-Ray Image. I will X-ray them as I gather them may be useful for someone. I may start repairing these it is something I am exploring. Not sure if it would be profitable.

HELP Cam chain tension

I am 70 and been riding with MyLady for 50 years. She got dementia 3 years ago and I figured riding was over. I noticed she lit up every time she talked about riding so I blew everything as nd went deep into debt to get us a 2001 dyna wide glide. It has 10k of very well taken care of miles. Would you worry about changing the Cam tensioner to hydraulic yet? We put on 1000 miles a year and are 70. We would have to save a lot to get it done at a dealer.

DISCUSSION Trade potential

I have a 2000 sportster 1200c, and it’s a fun little bike. It has some mild engine upgrades. I was recently contacted by a family friend who has inherited a 2001 wide glide (88 twin cam carbureted). The family friend is wanting to trade down to a sportster. Would this trade make any sense for me? I’m going to look at it tomorrow. From my understanding it needs a new voltage regulator, which is a common thing for these kinds of bikes. I’m open to any opinions about this.

DISCUSSION Dyna Vs FXR

Im sure this question has been beaten to death already. But I was hoping some of yall would be able to help me with some insight/advice or tips etc.
I own a sportster at the moment, and would consider myself a weekend warrior. Definitely not a daily rider by any means, but i do like to ride. The problem is, I want a bigger bike. More power. Something more comfortable on longer hauls that I can load up with gear. Ive landed on dyna vs FXR. I really like how the FXRs look and how they are said to handle. But they do seem a bit rarer and pricier. Not to mention older (which tbh has me a tad worried as far as serious maintenance or mechanical issues go). I know there are a ton of dynas out there in all different shapes and sizes, not to mention a bit cheaper and newer. But as I said, im really liking the FXRs better. Dyna wobble also makes me nervous. Maybe its a minor issue. I know its usually fixable but, If im going to have to invest in fixing something anyhow id rather spend the money/time on the FXR (if need be). Can yall lay any advice on me before i spend a few grand ona new (to me) bike so I hopefully make the best decision. I will mention I do know my way around a wrench if need be, but i don’t trust myself with anything major. Just worried getting an FXR might be biting off more than I can chew and hoping its not.

HELP 2000 Road King EFI

I purchased my first road king about a month ago. The stock bars are great for me except they put my wrists in an awkward position while riding. Wrist position is better when I sit further back but then I’m on the rear seat and foot controls become an issue.

Have looked at a bunch of different bars, bought one thinking it would work, and it turned my riding position like I was on a sports bike.

I found a handlebar pulled from another 2000, same bar that is on my bike. Trying to find somewhere in Central FL to have the end of the bars bent out slightly but have no idea where to look. Any suggestions would be appreciated

DISCUSSION My very first ride on a bike you can't hear

I've owned bikes most of my life. Yamaha YZ80, Kawasaki 125 Enduro, Virago 550, Shadow 750, Intruder 800, and yes, a 2002 Harley FLSTF right off the showroom floor in Kuwait.
I tell you all that just to tell you this. Months ago I bought an electric bike for my wife, and it's been sitting in the garage. Today I finally decided to put it together. The very first light I came to, I'm sitting in the bike lane and these two young Harley guys pull up. Clearly forgetting they're talking over their engines, they start making fun of the 60-year-old chubby guy on an electric bike.
