Discussion Where do you guys get your clothes?

• Upvotes

I want to start wearing more masculine clothes that additionally cover my curves. Does anyone had suggestions on where to shop or what kind of clothes (shape and fit wise) I should look at?

Edit: I live in a small town so I don’t have any regular places I get my clothes. I mostly shop online and it’s hard to tell if the clothes would actually look good or fit (typical shopping online issues) and I’m looking for places that have things that have worked for others.

Not like wearing a big hoodie, though that definitely does work

I'm desperate

Still somewhat coming to terms with this identity after beating around the bush and being on and off with it for years

(It's never changed, still definitely a dude in a girl suit LMFAO and used to wonder why I'd see MLM art or other passing trans people and crave what they have...the denial was strong😭)

Advice Needed I think me transitioning is ending my relationship?

• Upvotes

Hello! I am 24m, and about 3 weeks on T. I’ve been dating a guy (24m) for about a year now, and was always open about the fact that I will transition. Now that I’ve actually started testosterone, it seems like my boyfriend isn’t very happy with it. The last time he was at my house, we were drinking. I mentioned something about taking my shot because I was excited, and he said something to the effect of “I don’t like to think about it.”

This isn’t the only comment he’s made, he once said something like “the idea of me changing hits him in the feelings”. I could understand the second statement, it was what he said when I first told him I would be starting T, but the first one about not wanting to think about it was this week. He’s made similar comments and I’m really at a sort of loss on what to do. The logical part of me wants to break things off and save myself the heartache of it happening later when I begin passing better, but I do also really love him. He tends to try to avoid discussions about my impending changes and it makes it hard to discuss the future.

The minor comments he makes have been keeping me up at night, I hate feeling like our relationship isn’t secure or that he secretly resents my changes. I know I can be a bit of a people pleaser, and nobody in my real life gives me a straight answer on what they would do in this situation, so I guess I’m here to ask for advice from fellow trans people. Thanks for reading this, and for any advice you all may have.

Discussion Sigh. What are we doing for hormonal facial acne in 2026?

• Upvotes

I’m acne prone, but I had it under control with a specific skin care regimen when I was still in estrogen world. 6 months into my second attempt at HRT, it’s getting bad again. I’m in my 30s now, I hate the acne, and it’s part of why I stopped HRT the first time around. I really don’t want to stop again.

My current routine: foaming cleanser for “normal to oily skin” in the shower every morning, niacinamide-based toner twice a day, a light moisturizer twice a day, Korean sunscreen in the summer, spot treat acne with 20% salicylic acid, cover any remaining zits with mighty patches during the day so I don’t pick at them.

Right now it’s worst around my hairline and on my neck.

What are you guys doing? Did you ever go to a dermatologist? Did it help? I almost scheduled an appointment in advance before the acne started, but I decided to be optimistic, lol

Advice Needed Frustrated with lack of changes from T

• Upvotes

Started at 25, over a year on T. Guys 3 months in experience more changes than me. My T levels are fine, in fact, I was supraphysiological, in the 1100-1300 range. Endo lowered my dose. No, my estrogen never raised as a result, remained within male range the whole time. My voice dropped slightly, but I still sound like a girl. Don't get periods. Got stronger, which is cool. I believe with weight lifting and surgery, my body will be fine. Face still feminine.

Trying to voice train, but I've never been good at changing my voice, even when singing it always sounded like I was talking in my regular voice. So, no matter what, I sound like a monotone, flat girl with a slightly deep voice.

Not in my head, ftm coworker was surprised to find out I was on T and pointed out my voice. Still get misgendered in real life and over the phone. Anybody who hasn't passed as a guy after T after a year whose been able to voice train to get a passing voice?

Advice Needed Unsure what binder to buy

• Upvotes

I’ve been using gc2b for most of my life. Still am. I tried a fluxion binder but jt did not bind well at all for me. I am a current C(?) cup, former DDD. My chest is all tissue after the reduction so therefore firmer than most. I’ve grown out of my last fitting binder and I need a new one. I’m really looking for a binder that will EVENLY flatten me. It flattens at the bottom but seems full at the top of my chest. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’m really struggling to make a decision. I’m trying to stay stealth. My current binder is too small and is hurting me but it works the best

Advice Needed Why is my mom like this??? How do i make her stop misgendering me?

• Upvotes

Okay so. To preface this, i wanna give some backstory.
My sister is trans, she came out to me few years ago and few years earlier to my parents (shes older than me, my parents were worried id be too young too understand. obv i wasnt, but yk). Afaik they did take some time to accept that, but in the end were supportive. I dont know how exactly it went since at the time this all happened she was not out to me, but the important part is that as of now they are okay with her being trans and in general, it seems theyre okay with having a trans child.

Some time later, I came out to my mom. At first she gave the classic "youre not", "i thought the same at your age", "its gonna pass". So i cried a lot and sucked it up for some time. A year later or so, I came out to her again. This time more confident in my identity. Andddd she said shes alright with it. She told me she accepts me, she asked me what can she do to help me, and I just said that I would prefer for her to use male pronouns towards me (it feels important to state that my language is way more gendered than english is. basically every past tense verb is gendered). She agreed. I thought about asking her about HRT too, but I didn't know how would she react to me wanting it as a minor, so i decided to start with just the social stuff.

However, some time has passed and.... Nothing changed. At first she tried to avoid using the gendered forms all together (i constantly heard her stop mid sentence to try to change the sentence to avoid it) and i decided its okay, shes still adjusting, and just kept using masculine forms with her. But now, she just doesn't even try anymore. Just constantly calls me by she/her. I never corrected her because i was too terrified to. She washed my binder few times, once when we were looking at some stuff and one thing was specifically "for girls" she was concerned if im okay with that, but it seems her support extends to only stuff that she needs to put in almost zero effort to do. I'm especially confused about it because she treats my older sister alright.

Is there anything i can do to make her stop? How do i get the confidence to just correct her? Why is she acting like this anyway if shes supportive towards my sister?

Advice Needed Dont “feel like” a man

• Upvotes

Hi all

Not sure what I’m looking for here, maybe some advice? Only recently started looking at general FTM spaces online, and have started to wonder if I’m missing something.

People talk a lot about feeling like a man, or feeling male. “Knowing” they’re a man. I don’t get that, and never have. Does it mean im not a man? Does it mean transition was a bad idea?

Does anyone else not “feel” like a man? Is it normal?

Advice Needed Question about Cognitive Changes on T

I've been told by a few people that going on T can cause brain fog and decline in intelligence.

I did some research and nothing was really conclusive, meaning the studies needed to be longer or in a different direction to prove anything for sure.

I really value my cognitive skills and brain health so, while I want to go on T, this is concerning to me.

So in your personal experience, have any of you experienced intelligence related side effects?

(I know ADHD can sometimes get worse, however that wouldn't pertain to my situation)

Advice Needed Accessing T in Sweden as a minor

I’m 13 years old, and I desperately need to start testosterone like yesterday. I have extreme gender dysphoria and have a modera depression because of that gender dysphoria. Im in line at BUP (barn och undomspsykiatry) for getting a dysphoria diagnosis but the process takes years, years that I will not survive like this. I have considered Gendergp, where I would pick up a prescription by driving to Denmark since I am close to the borde. But my parents are sceptical of the safety. Any advice from anyone greatly appreciated

USA Current political climate “Overturned” Gender Marker Change from FL, anyone know what this might mean for me?

I’m (21M) living in Texas, but my birth certificate was issued in Florida. Over 4 years ago I changed my name and gender marker at the same time. Since being over 18, my name has been as it is and so has my gender. Legally male.

The other day Florida decided to send a letter claiming it was “changed in error” and that it will no longer be honored. I have physical copies that mark me as male, but every identification I’ve ever received has also said male as a result. I’ve been told by friends and family that this shouldn’t affect my out of state IDs or any other things I need to use my legal gender for. But I’m scared, tbh. I’m passing 50/50 anyway even after years of HRT so I’ve been working hard on becoming stealth for safety. (Gotta love Red States)

Has anyone else experienced this? Has it fucked you over in any way? Is this nbd or should I be concerned for the validity of my IDs?

Advice Needed Prescription/Pharmacy Help

hey friends
i’m on testosterone gel (packets) which are covered by my insurance. the problem is i use a walgreens pharmacy and they are incompetent and evil. after calling 5+ locations and spending hours on the phone only to get nowhere, i transferred my script to a pharmacy my doctors office says they work with. this cancelled my script at walgreens and now THAT pharmacy also does not have it in stock. so now while walgreens originally said (on wednesday) that they would have it by monday, i don’t have an existing script anywhere and am back to square one. hoping they still have it ordered despite my script not being active anymore, but given my history with them i highly doubt it. i also had a pharmacist look through my records and meds there to discern i was trans (when i was picking up a new rx) and it made me really uncomfortable.
i have heard people have had better luck using local, independently owned pharmacies. this is my next step! but i also was looking at amazaon pharmacy (the concept of not dealing with pharmacy staff irl was tempting lol).
i guess my point other than voicing my frustrations was to ask where you guys get your meds filled. does anyone have any delivery options that work well for them? im in ny if that helps!

Discussion almost 2 months on low dose T (50 days) NSFW

I'm slowly reaching the 2 month mark and I kind of wanted to share some changes I had gotten, I must also add that I started finasteride like ~3 ish weeks later after starting testosterone so it does also impact the changes I fear

On the first day of starting I remember my throat got sore lmao and I had some issues talking, but now it doesn't affect me as much weirdly? But it might be because even before that I got used to changing my voice to a higher pitch, sooo I don't know...

I think peach fuzz has gotten a bit longer during the first 3 weeks, after I started finasteride it hasn't progressed much

Noticed a bit of bottom growth during the first 3 weeks but also no much change after starting fin, though I am still kind of sensitive in the area

Libido skyrocketed closer to week 3 and I kept on needing to do stuff w myself all the time but after starting finasteride I had calmed down, though my libido is still higher than it used to be pre-T

I had INSANE thirst recently, I kept on chugging down like a shit ton of water, for reference at school I barely drank any water at all and I could empty like half my water bottle but recently I needed to chug down TWO BOTTLES. AND I WAS STILL THIRSTY. It has calmed down as well right now (thank god)

I wouldn't like say anything about hunger as I was already a fat fucking chud before but yeah I think I did get hungrier... though I'm sorry guys, I'm neither a salmon or a rotisserie chicken guy☹️☹️☹️ I'm actually craving cinnamon rolls a lot.???? Anything cinnamon related in general, I even wanna smell like cinnamon now😞😞😞

Can't say anything about body hair because yeah I had started finasteride after all so there's no much change for that part

Though, one thing body related... I keep on building up a shit ton of dead skin. Like I am genuinely fucking shedding like a lizard bro, pre-T I would use my glove every like 3-4 days and still get not that much deadskin, I even barely had any around my chest area, now I can exfoliate every 2 days and it's like I'm taking off my full second layer of skin😣😣😣

Piss has started smelling differently?... Sorry for mentioning that but I just had to, I was a bit shocked when it became weirdly stronger and just in general not like how it was before (I drink enough water trust me, and it's not like idk fishy or something? It's just normal piss odor just much different

I'm not sure how possible is that but I have a weird feeling that my eyebrows got darker... just in general when I look in the mirror I see a *guy* more often, though I can't quite say anything abt general facial changes

Recently I got a feeling that my chesticles had gotten a bit softer? They're more like just filled water balloons now, not quite deflated yet but just much softer

From psychological changes (as they're the most obvious to me tbh) I am like. much happier?? More comfortable?? I feel weirdly more aligned with my body despite the fact it's still like not the fully desired shape, I do enjoy my appearance more (I have been taking SO many photos since starting lmao), I am also slowly starting to able perceive MLM media more comfortably (I had issues with it before and it was my first major sign of dysphoria). I do still get dysphoric from time to time but it's generally less and goes away rather quickly (I used to get insane dysphoric episodes like once or twice a month where I would just cry myself to sleep and kind of rot in bed for a while, now that hadn't happened at all)

I THINK that's all for now....

Advice Needed 7 years transition, now de-transitioning and needing advice

Hi,

I've been trans for almost a decade now, I'm on T and I'm gendered male often but my family and the people around me don't support me at all and I've come to realise i will never gain their respect nor understanding.

"just leave" is so easy to say in theory but it isn't an option for me, i have nobody outside my family, its so suffocating but sometimes that's how it is and there's nothing i can do to change it, I've missed my NHS appointments due to family issues and will need to be re added to the list taking another 10 years foe me to even try to transition... so from now on ill focus on growing out my hair and being the girl they want.

I know there's other trans men who chose to stay female, so I was wondering what you do to keep yourself sane? thanks

Advice Needed 12 days post-op DI, pain when taking deep breath

anyone who’s had top surgery, did your pain get worse around the 2 week mark? also did you have some pain when taking deep breaths? it’s only on the left side around where the drain was (drains were removed 1 day post- op). it’s slightly swollen in that area but nothing major, and was painful last night (sharp pain) for a few seconds at a time but hasn’t been bothering me today. i have messaged my surgeon but am waiting for a response so wanted to turn to reddit as i’d like a more immediate response 😅

Relationships Cishet GF

I’ve been on reddit a long time but never consistently used it and never really posted so apologies if my formatting sucks real bad!

This is just me looking for some reassurance I think. For context, I’ve had cis girlfriends in the past multiple times and it was never an issue that I’m trans however after breaking up I typically noticed they ended up dating cis men.

Now thinking rationally thats likely a coincidence as they had a preference for men and theres more cis than trans men but this leads me onto my current situation. My girlfriend now is cisgender and considers herself heterosexual - we’re both young adults and just finished college together we’ve been together for almost 2 years - and despite how much I know I should trust her and have more faith in things I still just feel kinda insecure because before meeting me she’d grown up going to a private school and going out with rich cis guys.

I suppose maybe part of it is a bit of financial insecurity too not relevant to gender since I don’t have even close to the amount of money those guys had but sometimes i just think cause I’m not physically a guy even though I pass as one in day to day life and live my life stealth unless I need to disclose it for whatever reason I still just feel like she’ll realise something is missing in our relationship that she’d find with a cis guy.

Social normalcy is part of it for sure though - her family doesn’t know I’m trans and I think we’re both nervous about if they found out for a few reasons and I always think why put herself through these unnecessary problems with me when she could avoid it all entirely with someone else?

I know she loves me but what if love just isn’t enough to make up for all the risks that could come with having a trans partner?

Advice Needed Scared of starting T

I know everyone gets nervous about starting T, but I feel like this isn't the same type of fear that I would've felt back when I was at my most dysphoric state.

I think I genuinely fought tooth and nail, and grew a lot as a person to embrace self-expression through things like makeup and nails. I think these are individual art forms that shouldn't be gendered. However, because I do these things and seemingly don't seem "fazed" for being "feminine", usually people just call this "being a girl with extra steps" and it's a constant source of insecurity for me.

Personally, the only reason why I am able to actually do these things is because how anchored my male identity has grown to be, where whatever I look or do doesn't make me feel less of a man. Despite this, I am not immune to how the general public views people like me. I feel like most people still don't regard me as a "real trans man" and that fuels the uncertainty about whether I should start T a lot.

If I am already so used to "being female" that It's become my usual daily life again, why am I starting T? There are so many people who are so dysphoric that being on T brings them utmost euphoria, but I'm finding it hard to imagine how it would be for me now.

I don't know. I'm kinda terrified. I managed to embrace certain parts about myself and I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave things behind. I would've started T without hesitation when my dysphoria was at its worst, but right now I can't even seem to understand my own mind. I really want to but I am so confused and scared. Anyhow, I'm not even sure if I can get T.

Gender Questioning Feeling like a man but not wanting to be one?

It's all so confusing. I never liked men or masculinity. I was raised by a pretty man-hating mother and I spent the last 10 years of my life living as a man-hating lesbian, so it's probably related to that, but... now I find myself wishing I had a flat chest, a deep voice, a penis, a male name... imagine myself as a man going about my day and it makes me happy and excited. Yet I don't want to be a man. Maybe I'm just spending too much time in general trans subs reading about the experience of trans women, how they began to feel pretty for the first time when they first presented the way they wanted to, how it felt like falling in love, how sweet and soft it all felt for them, like the edges of the world had smoothed over. An experience that is uniquely femenine. I don't want to be pretty, I want to be handsome, but I still long for that same sweetness and softness that seems to belong to women. Or maybe I idealize women too much. I do love women. They're so beautiful.

I just read a post about a trans woman putting on makeup for the first time in her twenties and grieving the fact that she never got to have this softness and sweetness as a teen, and I thought, I have NEVER felt this way about any traditionally masculine teenage experience. There is nothing appealing about running around the street making gorilla noises or playing call of duty. I don't know. I kinda wish I felt like a woman, so I could continue to live comfortably in that world. Or maybe I DO feel like a woman, maybe this is a sign this is the wrong path for me. I don't miss makeup or femenine clothes, they make me feel bad, but I do miss... idk, how cute women are? I don't even miss being a cute woman myself. I just long for the experience of "falling in love", metaphorically. Trans women describe masculinity as horrible and rough and violent and trans men emphasize its most noble aspects - being protective, kind, brave etc., but I can't stop thinking about how, well, trans women got it right. Femininity is just adorable in a way masculinity isn't, and I don't long for femininity itself but for its adorability. When I see a beautiful woman, I feel her pulling at my heartstings.

I think about this a lot. I COULD cling to this, I COULD live as a woman and live a softer, kinder, sweeter life. Maybe my yearning for it means womanhood is the right path for me. But I can't stop thinking about the man I want to be. Hopefully he is soft and kind and sweet too. I imagine he has long-ish hair and wears knitted sweaters and likes cats and dogs, and he's good to women. But even then, those are personality traits, not elements inherent to masculinity. Masculinity isn't "adorable", maybe I AM a woman if I care about that so much.

Advice Needed Bottom Surgery, I am completely lost and need help

Hey there, it isnt possible for me to transition legally in the country I am from. I am looking to get bottom surgery abroad, but I know I need to be transitioning legally to get that. Dysphoria is really bad and Ive started to feel hopeless. I need bottom surgery. Please help

What are my options?

I want to have phalloplasty, but anything is better than nothing. Id love to get hysteractomy or other surgeries that will be done during stages of phalloplasty, until I can get the surgery itself. I dont know how to go about those as I dont have any paperwork "proving" I am transgender.

How much money do I need to save up?

I am aware prices change drastically between countries and I will probably need extra money in case I need emergency revisions or something, but I need a really vague goal to start saving.

Which country should be my priority?

I know Turkey would probably be cheap but I am Turkish and I am in NO WAY trusting ANY doctor here after the shit i went through. Which countries have laws that are more relaxed around this stuff so I can get it done without 2 doctors letters? Or how can I get the doctors letters if I cant do that currently where I am?

Any resources you know that can help me, like any posts of people who did this before?

Medical Why do changes take so long for me?

I know that everyone is different but I started on April 1st and it's been 7th month now and my voice went deep but no idea why my face just barely changes. I saw a guy on month 5 and he HAD A MUSTACHE?? And his face was already so angular like cis man's. And other guys have crazy changes on 6th month. My face fat still barely changed.

I take 1000mg even 3 months, my latest blood test is 5.89 ng/ml - Testosterone, 111 pg/ml - E2 Estrogen. My doctor said that my T levels are okay but estrogen rose a little bit. He didn't even take an appointment with me since everything is okay and just prescribed an injection.

Gender Questioning Chest: Do I like it or do I like that other people like it? Maybe I just find myself hot? NSFW

I’ve been on T since january, and I’m really going back and forth every few months on whether I want top surgery one day. I know I have a nice chest in terms of “god DAYUM those thangs are nice” and I do like looking at my own chest in a sexual way. On the other hand, I get dysphoric day to day if i’m not binding.

Idk, like i was blessed by my genetics in terms of being afab and if my cis self were a separate person i’d 100% hit. I struggle with identity and how i view myself since i dont even know necessarily whether i consider myself a masc enby or a fem man. Like i beat it to my own pre transition pics but only because i view that body as a separate person from me

I think after typing this out im probably just a fem man thats so dissociated from my pre T self that i can look back and have the same attractions that I would towards any individual, but i’m just looking for more insights/support
