I feel like my 4S charging setup is big and stupid. These balance boards are cumbersome. The HOTA D6 charger has a wireless phone charger on the top that makes it larger than it needs to be and I’ll never use it. Threw away the box though so I guess I’m stuck with it.

I built a 4S analog drone using the beta fpv Pavo20 frame. The footage you're watching was recorded with a RunCam Thumb Pro 4K XV.
As you can see, I tried pushing it a bit faster than usual. However, right after that sharp direction change near the end, the drone seemed to lose control, snapped at an angle, and I wasn't able to recover it before crashing because I was too close to the ground.
Does it have something to do with the fact that I have ducted fans?
I'm using standard betaflight PIDs, I just changed the rates (I use soft rates).
I would like to never lose control of my drone because this time I was above a safe terrain, and I would be so sad if a crash like this will happen on a forest or over water.
Thank you in advance.

This 3 inch is running 6S and was built to zip around and possibly do dives from higher heights. Due to my (construction methods) it’s not ment to take a hit, but I wanted to get it done and will make it good later. Flight times are around seven minutes with two lava 680 MAH 3S packs connected in series.

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to FPV (4-5 months) and I've been mainly flying DJI O4 Pro and Vista. I am currently looking to move to analog because of "gear fear". Vista is kinda cheap but you can only look at obtaining them second-hand, O4 Pros on the other hand is kinda expensive to go full send and practice with. (Might not be expensive to you but im from a 3rd world country)
Does the HDZERO global shop do black friday sale? If so how much less were their goggles 2 last year?
I know it kinda defeats the purpose of going to analog for cheap and easy to buy parts but I was thinking goggles dont break because it is with you, not the drone and if i can get for cheaper during a sale, then why not lol
It's really not that far ahead of the skyzone O4x pro in terms of price so i thought why not get that and i might try racing soon.
EDIT: One more reason that im moving to analog is the latency.

Can anyone tell me why I lost control? When making a turn, the FC is reporting the battery voltage is 10.9V. Battery is 120C URUAV Graphene 1050mAh with about 10 flights. Glad I recorded it because it was easy to find, one broken arm though (fixed).

Hey everyone, I've recently got back into FPV, starting with the Meteor75 Pro II, and I'm now planning a 3.5-inch freestyle build using a Volador frame.
I'm torn between the O4 Wide and O4 Pro. I recently picked up another Meteor75 Pro II for a bargain and was planning to take its O4 Wide for my build. My current Meteor's O4 Wide is also being inspected under warranty, so I may end up with a replacement.
I'm looking for unbiased opinions: is there any real advantage to the O4 Pro over the O4 Wide besides recording quality? I don't really care about onboard footage, so I'm mainly interested in flight performance, live feed quality, range and latency.
Is the O4 Pro actually worth the extra weight and cost?

The quad of Theseus is complete. With new 6S-capable 1800KV motors installed, I can now put the previous 4S motors back on my old Naze32 quad (and probably retire it to be a display piece after a flight or two). I also took the chance to install the F722 flight controller I got for cheap, replacing the F405 I had in there previously. Now I can run 8k/8k loops and Dshot600.
I love how it flies, very torquey and fast with a good bit of weight to throw around. Tiny bit of bounceback on the pitch axis with the Supafly preset, I'll try giving it a little dynamic D.

Howdy, new to fpv/rc/drones and fairly new to Reddit.
I’ve been reading up for the past two days and have had an interest in this. Fairly technical/hands-on background but mostly mechanical and only dabble in electronics.
Looking to buy a do-it-all fpv drone setup and would like decent quality recording as part of that. Will train on sims, and I’ve about 7 acres of property to have fun/learn on, so long as I don’t terrorize the horses.
Planned build list:
•GEPRC MARK5 O4 Pro gps elrs
•Radiomaster Boxer (4-in-1…? May want planes later)
•N3 goggles
•some battery & charger
I’m concerned about buying a frame and making sure I get all the electronics and don’t want to let the smoke out, so I’d rather buy a BNF/RTF at this point and they don’t seem much more expensive. Trying to avoid tariffs by keeping suppliers in US (with implicitly already applied ones). Thinking newbeedrone and getfpv for drone/parts.
This good to go? Any other recommendations?

Haven't even flown the wing yet lol, was using it just to power while programming the FC and I was at it for hours without thinking. Got the 3S down to 4.5V uhg. At least it was only $12, a fairly inexpensive lesson.

After a few dozen days of use it stopped drawing the right amount of power from the charger, the charger connected to the plug always supplied 11 volts but a few days ago the toolkitrc showed me 5 volts, so I think it's a problem with the toolkitrc, can you help me?

I got Air75 II as my first fpv setup, along with Skyzone Cobra X v4 with stock antennas.
I know whoops won’t have good range, but I feel like I’m starting to lose image after roughly 50-70 meters away, and I’m not even raking trees. Just flat terrain.
Are there settings in betafpv app I should tackle?
And what are your recommendations on antenna upgrade for goggles? I have about 30-40$ budget for that, and I’ll upgrade them sooner or later anyway.

I’m having a real hard time with my drone. I crashed it and am trying to replace one of my motors but even after soldering the motor on it won’t respond on beta flight. I’ve dealt with this before and usually I can just get them to all go online eventually but idk what to do. My soldering skills aren’t the best but it’s not terrible, at least I think so..

Solved. I had an airplane model loaded on my radio. I created an empty model on the TX12, and everything started working as it should.
The radio is a TX12.
In the video, the final movement is an input on the roll stick. As you can see, for some reason it affects the throttle, and it doesn't even reach the full range from the center—even though I’m pushing the stick all the way over.

Haven't flown for a month since something weird was happening with my drone and I thought my solderjoints were garbage (I did the best I could with 40year old iron dont ask why I kept that hand me down) so got a new one really lovely in fact for chinese brand and as soon as I took the top left motor off its left wire was disconnected so I soldered that took it to fly it was great I remembered why I love the hobby and then why I hate it as I crash, antenna pops off, I find it, head home and whent to put it back on this time with e6000 saw this and my first thought was "ah shit here we go again" now I've got iron in hand and will commence the repair
