Hi all riders out there, I went through a C5-C6 ACDF surgery in July. Since then I have been feeling good with none such pains in my neck. I am planning to ride an Enduro trails for 4 days in Northern Thailand and looking for advice if it is safe to ride 5 months post surgery?

I need to know if someone underwent same procedure and how soon you went back to riding??

SXS handguards

No doubt they are stout but curious how they have held up against crashes. Mostly tip overs?

My basic tusk wrap arounds have done their job and its time for a replacement.

Many run the flag SXS guards - clean and super strong. My other option is the cycra or even EE.

First bike from electric to combustion?

Hello, for the last year I've ridden an electric KTM exc freeride, which works great for going out 2 hours a day and riding the local trails, it's been an incredibly fun enduro bike, and would truly recommend it to anyone with a more relaxed riding schedule....

However recently I've deen myself going to the track more, and for every hour and a half of intense track riding i have 1 hour of charging in between, which is unsustainable for me if i want to go to the track more often.

So i was wondering, what would be a good enduro bike to make the switch with?

I'm looking for something i can maintain at home and can also handle local trails and mx track. Also been looking at 2 strokes due to their more immediate power output compared to 4 strokes, but I don't think i have the expertise to make that desicion yet...

Edit: my budget would stand around 5000 ish dollars. Would the year of manufacture make a great difference? Im looking to buy second hand.

Sprockets? GG EX300

2026 gg ex300
I want to gear it down a bit so second is more usable in the lower speed tech. First is too low for anything besides tech while basically stopper and second is just a touch faster than I’d like for stuff that’s too fast for 1st. PNW I ride a mix of hard enduro and singletrack. Thinking of starting with a 12t front sprocket and going from there, any suggestions?

My beta died and now its working again. I accidentally switched up some plugs and now spark is back- it was the cdi. But something did screw the old cdi up. I disconnected the stator from the harness. white and yellow wire. Harness side white wire isnt grounded but yellow wire is. Now i followed the yellow wire and it goes into 3-4 blue wires which lead to the headlights. when i diconnected headlight blue wire containing plugs 2 of them resulted still in the harness side yellow wire ground but when i disconnected the third the ground dissapeared. i had crashed onto the headlight side about 10min before the loss of spark. Does anyone know if its normal or no.

Husqvarna TE 300 2022 – Hour meter not recording engine hours?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2022 Husqvarna TE 300 and I've noticed that the hour meter on the dashboard isn't recording the engine hours.

For some context, the cable connected to the front brake speed sensor is currently disconnected because it came off while I was riding.

Could this be related to the hour meter not recording hours, or are the two systems completely separate? I would have thought that the engine hours should still be recorded even if the speed sensor isn't connected.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how the hour meter works on this bike?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Working on dirt bikes

So I’m on the east coast and it’s getting cold. I was looking to head somewhere warm. Where is the biggest riding community/hotspot during winter in the us? Was trying to find a spot where I could ride and turn some wrenches on the side to eat for a few months.

PNW Pants

I'm tired of wearing rain pants over my moto pants. Too bulky and I end up tearing them so I get wet anyway. I don't need 100% waterproof but at the very least semi resistant to protect against wet tree branches and the wet ground. I don't need to stay dry if I fall into a puddle lol.

I want something that is well made and is under $200. I am not brand loyal. I wear what meets the between quality and value. So I don't need $800 Klim pants.

What have you used that you like? It's some sort of wet here from October-late May/early June. Needs to hold up.

Fender Bag/ Lumbar pack preferences?

I’m looking to move some weight off of my body / shoulders and onto the bike. On my mountain bike I’ve been running a lumbar/hip pack and it’s done wonders to make my shoulders more comfortable on longer rides and I’m looking to do the same for my enduro rides.

Do you guys have a preferred hip/hydration bag and is anyone running front fender bags that they like? Looking to ditch the cumbersome hydration backpack.

I usually carry 2 liters of water, a tool roll, IFAK, occasionally a small digital/film camera and some light snacks.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Has anyone returned to hard enduro after PRC wrist surgery?

Hi everyone! I could really use some information and advice.
I had a proximal row carpectomy (PRC) on my dominant right wrist in October 2025 due to an old scaphoid fracture, avascular necrosis and arthritis.
I’m hoping to get back into hard enduro riding, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has had the same surgery and returned to enduro, motocross or off-road motorcycling.
Were you able to handle rough terrain, rocks, steep climbs and sudden impacts through the handlebars after your surgery? Did you use a wrist brace such as the Mobius X8?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your personal experiences, how long recovery took, and how well your wrist handles riding now. Thanks in advance!
