Reminder: No Survey Questions
Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all that this subreddit is answers-based—it’s meant to provide clear, informative responses that someone could find useful while searching for answers on Google or other search engines. Lately, I’ve noticed an uptick in survey-style questions (e.g., “What’s your favorite __?” or “How many of you __?”).
These types of questions are not a good fit for the purpose of this community. They don’t create content that is useful for others to search for, and often lead to broad discussions that aren’t about providing a clear answer. As a result, I’ve been removing posts that violate this rule to maintain the quality and focus of the subreddit. Even if that post has a lot of replies as the OP obviously didn’t read the rules before posting, or cared.
If you’re unsure if your post fits, ask yourself: Would this question result in a useful answer for someone looking for a specific answer or information online? If not, it’s likely more of a survey question and violates rule 2.
Thanks for understanding and helping to keep the subreddit on track! 😊

What is something most people misunderstand about being an adult?
When you're younger, adulthood often looks very different from what it actually turns out to be.
What is something about being an adult that surprised you or turned out to be completely different from what you expected? It could be about money, work, relationships, responsibility, or everyday life.
I'm interested in honest answers based on real experience.

Answered why would someone park a pet carrier in a handicapped spot overnight?
saw this small plastic pet carrier sitting in a handicapped spot at the grocery store lot last night, and it was still there this morning. it looked empty and not damaged. no tags or anything on it. could it belong to someone who just forgot it, or is there some reason people leave carriers like that? honestly not sure if this is normal or if i should report it, but the whole thing seems kind of odd.

Answered How do you reset a password when 2FA is also locked out?
I somehow ended up with my account locked and two-factor authentication still turned on, so the usual reset flow just sends a code I cannot receive. There is also a recovery question but it was set years ago and I honestly cannot recall the answer. I tried the official support page but it only loops back to the same dead-end prompts. Is there a common next step people follow in this situation, or do you just have to wait out some cooldown period before another reset attempt works? Would appreciate any straightforward pointers without the jargon overload.

Where did Chickens come from or How did a flightless bird take over the world?
Yes this is one of those questions you have when you have to much of gods garnish or in the shower thinking about nonsense. I know colonists brought them to Australia and the America.
But where did they originally come from?
Did we bring them with us on the immigrations out of Africa, like the cows were?
Were the chickens picked up in an area where those going North and West and those going East?
Where there breeds of the chickens all over the place like tigers and bears?
A slightly stoned and curious mind wants to know
