Been wanting to have a more rugged look. Downsized to a 17ā wheel, paired it with some falken wildpeak A/Ts.

I found a small local forest area with trails and wildlife and, more importantly, nobody else. Spending a few hours in nature was just what the doctor ordered on this beautiful fall day.

After owning it for about 2 and half months now I'm planning to give this box an update. I know there are limits when focusing power out of an N/A Ej20 but I think I will prioritize suspension and brakes first. Any suggestion that you would recommend especially the suspensions. I want to have the same stance or a little bit higher but not looking like an SUV. The previous owner had it equipped with lowered springs. so low in fact it wouldn't fit my 2 finger inside the fender.

taking a road trip for christmas this year with the 2018 Forester. Looking at Car Carriers I was looking at thule from REI and noticed the costs are quite high. I looked on market place and there was no carriers within 300 miles. I was looking on the Subaru Website, and saw one of these 2018 Subaru Forester ThuleĀ® Cargo Carrier. Requires Crossbar Set - SOA567C040 | Subaru Parts Corp., Conway SCAny pros cons or advice? IF i decide to look at REI I have the bars that came with the subaru do I need to buy a separate kit?

Hey all. Just pulled over off the highway into a gas station and turned my car off.
My high temp gauge lit up on my dash, and my oil temp steadily kept climbing until over 250. I started hearing maybe a straining noise when I accelerated. Then all lights on dash came up. So I pulled over and turned my car off. I had been driving for maybe 10 minutes at this point.
Any advice or suggestions for what I should do right now/what this is? Is this the TCV? Iām 30 minutes from home
Edit: getting towed to my mechanics

Super annoying that while I'm driving with adaptive cruise control and my hands firmly on the wheel my '26 Forester Hybrid yells at me frequently. Does anyone else have this issue?

My family of three has outgrown our Subaru Impreza and we're looking at the 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid. We want to be able to lug 3 mountain bikes on a hitch on the back. My head is spinning trying to confirm whether we can manage this with the Forester's tongue weight limit.
From what I (have been trying to) understand, it's ideal to haul no more than 10-15% of the tongue weight capacity, which for the Forester Hybrid is 1,500 lbs. Am I right that with 3 MTBs (assuming 30ish pounds each) and a hitch (another 30-40 lbs?) that this is totally doable? Am I misinterpreting anything? Appreciate guidanceāesp from anyone who has this sort of setup already. Thank you!

After straying from Subaru for my last two vehicles, I'm ready to rejoin the Subie Gang with a Forester. (I have previously owned a 2012 Impreza and a 2015 Impreza Hatchback). I recently relocated to a snowy region, and as an avid skier, I can't be convinced that there's a better AWD vehicle out there for getting to the mountains.
I'm debating between two new Foresters:
I'd love to hear any opinions from current owners - which trim level did you go with and are there any features you love or could live without? And if you've recently bought a similar Forester, I'm interested in how much I should try to negotiate down the price.
Planning to buy within the next week and very excited!

My car has been perfect until my husband drove it yesterday and now I keep being blasted by the radio every time I turn on my car and now I want to drive it off a cliff.
I listen to audiobooks through Android Auto and it usually connects automatically. I can't find ANY setting to fix this! Someone please help. I'm going insane and might kill my husband.

Anyone recommend the extended warranty on the Forester, has it saved you in the future with some of the unexpected, expensive repairs that can come later? If so, whatās considered a best price?
Also has anyone had success using Costcoauto for dealerships in MI?

Hey Subarubies (is that a word?) I am a first-time Subaru owner, coming from a long line of Toyotas. I just purchased a 2019 Forester Sport. Iām a bit overwhelmed with the buttons. Tell me anything I need to know about features and must know perks of owning one of these. Glad to be part of the fam!

My sister asked for some advice. My sister really liked our 2025 Forester Hybrid Touring. She is going to look at the dealer this weekend at a new 2026 Forester Hybrid Touring.. however a dealer 2 hours away had a used 2025 model for about $3400 less. They look almost the same on the dealer websites.
Were there any major changes that would be worth the extra few thousand and 2 hour drive for the new Forester over the old one?

Wife drove 30 minutes /25 miles in 99f heat, mainly freeway, went to appointment and came back 30 min later and this happened when she turned on. I also got a notification in the Subaru app about warning lights on the dashboard. When I showed up, (about an hour later) just the normal lights came up when I turned on. Since we have a road trip coming up in a week and I was close, I dropped off at the stealership to get it looked at. Any idea of what it could be? Just had the 60k miles service 3 months ago, and the next service is not due until December-jan or 65k miles. All oil services were done at the same dealership on time.

My 2019 Subaru Forester Sport is 5,000 miles from 100,000 miles. I was wondering what maintenance I should perform at that point. Here is my maintenance history: I have kept up with the regular maintenance you would expect. Oil changes, brakes, tires... my transmission fluid was changed and I got new spark plugs around 85k miles, thermo control valve was just replaced (under warranty), the coolant exchange was not completed with that fix but the fuel injectors were cleaned. I also recently had both front axles replaced. I have had axle issues with this car and had axle replacements a couple of times already, its honestly the most frustrating part about this car for me. Thats pretty much it though. I appreciate the tips on what to do at the 100k mark. I want to run this car til the wheels fall off.
