Hoping someone can help me here. I found out I have hsv 2 a month ago. Never had any symptoms. My primary just randomly tested me for it. I was told I could of had it for 20/30 years. Anywho... I've been worried about if my son has it. He's 9 years old. He came to me a few minutes ago and showed me this, claiming it hurts really bad. This doesn't look like a canker sore to me. What do you all think? Should I take him to urgent care and get it swabbed?

Symptom Timeline
Saturday, 10 PM – Day 1
I had sex using a condom, but it kept slipping up during sex i dont think it ever came off the tip though. Later that same night, I developed itching on the left side of my groin. The itching became less noticeable over time, but the area still gets irritated when soap touches it.
Day 3
The itching had almost completely disappeared. However, I began experiencing tingling in my testicles and thighs, along with a burning or stinging sensation when urinating. I was also experiencing anxiety throughout this period.
Day 5
I attended a sexual health clinic, where they took a swab from inside my penis. I was told that no infection was found. The clinician also examined the area where I had experienced itching and said it looked normal and was probably just irritation.
Day 6
The tingling in my testicles continued, and I began experiencing pins and needles in my legs, particularly when walking. I also lost my appetite and experienced nausea, frequent burping and liquid coming back up. That night, I vomited twice.
Saturday – A&E Visit
I received my test results, which were negative for everything tested. However, the tingling symptoms persisted, so I went to A&E.
The staff examined my legs, thighs and penis, touching different areas to check whether they were painful. They also asked me to provide a urine sample. After testing my urine, they told me that an infection had been found.
I was prescribed doxycycline and advised to return to A&E for another test if my symptoms persisted.
Current concerns
I am still concerned about the ongoing tingling in my testicles and legs, the initial burning sensation when urinating, and my loss of appetite and nausea. I would like to understand what could be causing these symptoms and whether I need further testing.

I was experiencing extreme anxiety and searching up symptoms 24/7 too.

I’ve only ever been intimate with two people. I’ve been ignoring this for the past 3 years or so. I’ve only ever noticed gradual changes. I’ve been telling myself it’s scaring from frequent masturbation but at this point denial isn’t going to help anything. Just asking if anyone has experience with something like this. Going to a clinic soon.

I really need some help identifying this.
I felt the bump like 10 hours after my most recent sexual intercourse (including oral contact), and this is like the day after that, so less than 36 hours after my last contact.
I have a fear it is HSV, but the fact it's a single bump, it appeared that quick after, and that it's white instead of clear/transparent makes me kind of think it could be a pimple/follicullitis.

I was diagnosed with balanitis and prescribed clotrimazole + betamethasone cream twice daily for 10 days, plus two 150mg fluconazole pills taken 5 days apart.

I finished treatment on Friday and everything looked almost healed, except for a red line on my frenulum.
On Saturday, I had sex with a condom and received oral without one, but my foreskin wasn’t fully pulled back.

Today my glans is extremely red again, with dry, peeling skin, white spots, and small cracks. It looks almost as bad as before treatment.

No discharge or burning when peeing, just discomfort when pulling back my foreskin.

Has anyone experienced this? Could it be irritation rather than a fungal infection?

I think these have been here for a while but never really thought anything of them can anyone relate?

So I've had this skin spot for atleast a year and I don't know what it could be.

It's only on the left side of my cockhead, it doesnt hurt, it actually just looks like dead skin that doesnt fall off.

Hello, I'm coming before you looking for help and how to proceed with this, which will arise in my intimate part.

I am a man and I am 21 years old, and between August and September I had sexual encounters on two occasions with the same person.

To put it a little in context, between August and September, I had a total of two sexual encounters with the same person, for August, about two weeks after being with that person, I notice that something like a shin comes out on the arm of my penis, which is the first one that can be seen at the top, by that time it really looked super tiny, which I thought was some folliculitis of that specific part of the skin, but when I was with that person later in September, the days later, they started to sprout more, first the other two came out in the arm of the penis, as you can see, in total I have three, and in these last few days they started to get more out of the pubic hair.

The truth is that it does not hurt or itch me or anything like that, and of course I have not tried to exploit it because that would be very irresponsible and dangerous, since I do not know what it is.

I got tested two weeks ago after having 3 partners in about a month. All were negative ( about a week after last possible exposure).

Some context- I’m 35 and about 17 years ago I had a circumcision done due to a tight foreskin. I regret it everyday in hindsight- I should have tried to stretch it out naturally but it is what it is now. Part of the reason I regret it is it never really healed well after surgery and I’m convinced I’ve lost a lot of sensitivity. Fast forward 17 years and I’ve started to develop these hard lesions on the area where the stitching never really healed correctly. You can see where the stitching was to this day. It’s possible it’s relating to a STD but I get tested every 4 months and I have not been particularly sexually active lately. I do have sex with other men so I know I am generally speaking, at higher risk of catching it things. These lesions aren’t painful but they are very hard and rigid. Plus they do change that shape of the gland and when sexually aroused, could be painful for a partner. They don’t look particularly good either. They’ve only appeared on this one side of the frenulum. I’m not sure what to make of all of it any insight would be appreciated.

The guy who I have been sleeping with for the past 3 weeks turned out to have chlamydia. I got tested too, however, when I received my results, they were positive for gonorrhoea and not chlamydia. Now I am very confused as the last time I slept with someone before my current partner was almost 3 years ago. Could I have gotten gonorrhoea from my ex partner or was it somehow from my current partner who only has chlamydia and hasn’t been in contact with anyone but me since he got tested positive? Hey guys so I’m here to tell my current situation as it is making me very confused and I would and I need you guys (and people with medical knowledge) to help me out on this. So, I, 24M have been dating this guy, 25M for about 4 months now and we have been having unprotected oral and anal sex. Last week he said he “injured” himself during masturbation and a little ulcer appeared on his glans. We spent the weekend together but did not have any sexual contact because I was not comfortable during whatever when he was injured and wanted him to heal. Went to the ER anyway and got a penicillin shot anyway. Never had any symptom or any lesion. Also I wasn’t with anyone else during the time we were together. I was tested Jan 2026 and other than this guy, I had sexual encounter with another gay (in March) and we used protection. So my question here is, how does he get syphilis out of the blue? It’s not like it just appears like that right? I’m thinking he might have been with someone else and not telling me? What’s your opinion on this? Im 30 M, overseas and had a one night stand with a girl on the morning of the 25th September. We had protected sex twice for less than 10 minutes and she was on top at one point, she told me that she contracted hsv 6 months prior. I’m circumcised and had an off and on burning sensation on my penis and groin 3-5 days later. It has is now much more burning 3 weeks in at skin level and I see a bunch of hair follicles infected popping up over the last 2 weeks. I’ve had 3 doctor(2nd October, 5th an October and 13th) visits say there are no blisters to swab but I can’t stop having a skin burning sensation and infected hair follicles popping up. I'm a 33-year-old male, and I've been dealing with persistent urethral and genital symptoms for approximately 4 months. I've seen more than 10 urologists and several dermatologists, but nobody has been able to identify exactly what's causing my symptoms.

I'm hoping to find someone who has experienced something similar or eventually found an explanation.

My symptoms began in June/July 2026, following an episode of unprotected oral sex.

Initially, I experienced urethral burning, clear discharge, irritation around the urethral opening, and occasional urinary discomfort.

I suspected an STI, so I started getting tested and receiving treatment.

Unfortunately, despite several treatments, my symptoms have never completely disappeared.

MY CURRENT SYMPTOMS

• Persistent redness around the urethral opening (meatus).
• Redness affecting the glans and inner foreskin.
• Mild burning sensation, mainly at the tip of the urethra.
• Intermittent clear, sticky urethral discharge.
• Sometimes the discharge is significant enough to leave multiple whitish stains on my underwear.
• The urethral opening frequently becomes stuck together because of the sticky discharge, and I have to gently separate it.
• Occasional mild burning during or after urination.
• Occasional mild discomfort in my lower abdomen, around the bladder area.
• Symptoms fluctuate throughout the day.
• The redness is usually worse in the morning and evening.
• Some days I have considerable discharge, while on other days I have almost none.

The burning is generally mild, around 1–2/10, but the persistent symptoms are extremely frustrating.

TESTS I'VE HAD

I've undergone several STI investigations, including:

• Chlamydia: Negative (multiple PCR tests).
• Gonorrhea: Negative (multiple PCR tests).
• Mycoplasma: Negative.
• Ureaplasma: Negative.
• Urethral swab: Negative.

My most recent STI tests were performed in September, and everything came back negative.

I've also been examined by multiple urologists and dermatologists, without a definitive diagnosis.

TREATMENTS I'VE TRIED

Over the past few months, I've received several treatments:

• Doxycycline — multiple courses (8 days and 12 days).
• Azithromycin — approximately 3 g total.
• Cefixime — 800 mg.
• Ceftriaxone — 500 mg injection.
• Metronidazole (Flagyl).
• Fluconazole — 50 mg daily for 7 days.
• Topical antifungal and corticosteroid creams.
• Moisturizing and barrier-repair creams.

There were periods when my symptoms improved, particularly after some antibiotic treatments, but they never completely resolved.

The redness around my meatus and glans remains particularly persistent.

WHAT CONFUSES ME THE MOST

The discharge is real and visible. Sometimes I wake up with my urethral opening stuck together, and I frequently notice clear discharge that dries white on my underwear.

This makes me wonder whether there is still some type of inflammation or infection that hasn't been identified.

However, all the STI tests keep coming back negative.

This situation has been affecting my quality of life and mental well-being. Four months of symptoms, countless appointments, and no clear answers have been exhausting.

If anyone has experienced something similar, especially persistent clear discharge with negative STI tests, I would really appreciate hearing your story.
