Also I’ve been taking amoxicillin for a sore throat that turned into a sinus infection. Sore throat started 2 weeks ago, went away after 3 days. But my sinuses were clogged, post nasal drip had me coughing, went to a doctor and they prescribed amoxicillin which I’ve been taking for a few days now.

Im 30 M, overseas and had a one night stand with a girl on the morning of the 25th September. We had protected sex twice for less than 10 minutes and she was on top at one point, she told me that she contracted hsv 6 months prior. I’m circumcised and had an off and on burning sensation on my penis and groin 3-5 days later. I'm a 33-year-old male, and I've been dealing with persistent urethral and genital symptoms for approximately 4 months. I've seen more than 10 urologists and several dermatologists, but nobody has been able to identify exactly what's causing my symptoms.

I'm hoping to find someone who has experienced something similar or eventually found an explanation.

My symptoms began in June/July 2026, following an episode of unprotected oral sex.

Initially, I experienced urethral burning, clear discharge, irritation around the urethral opening, and occasional urinary discomfort.

I suspected an STI, so I started getting tested and receiving treatment.

Unfortunately, despite several treatments, my symptoms have never completely disappeared.

MY CURRENT SYMPTOMS

• Persistent redness around the urethral opening (meatus).
• Redness affecting the glans and inner foreskin.
• Mild burning sensation, mainly at the tip of the urethra.
• Intermittent clear, sticky urethral discharge.
• Sometimes the discharge is significant enough to leave multiple whitish stains on my underwear.
• The urethral opening frequently becomes stuck together because of the sticky discharge, and I have to gently separate it.
• Occasional mild burning during or after urination.
• Occasional mild discomfort in my lower abdomen, around the bladder area.
• Symptoms fluctuate throughout the day.
• The redness is usually worse in the morning and evening.
• Some days I have considerable discharge, while on other days I have almost none.

The burning is generally mild, around 1–2/10, but the persistent symptoms are extremely frustrating.

TESTS I'VE HAD

I've undergone several STI investigations, including:

• Chlamydia: Negative (multiple PCR tests).
• Gonorrhea: Negative (multiple PCR tests).
• Mycoplasma: Negative.
• Ureaplasma: Negative.
• Urethral swab: Negative.

My most recent STI tests were performed in September, and everything came back negative.

I've also been examined by multiple urologists and dermatologists, without a definitive diagnosis.

TREATMENTS I'VE TRIED

Over the past few months, I've received several treatments:

• Doxycycline — multiple courses (8 days and 12 days).
• Azithromycin — approximately 3 g total.
• Cefixime — 800 mg.
• Ceftriaxone — 500 mg injection.
• Metronidazole (Flagyl).
• Fluconazole — 50 mg daily for 7 days.
• Topical antifungal and corticosteroid creams.
• Moisturizing and barrier-repair creams.

There were periods when my symptoms improved, particularly after some antibiotic treatments, but they never completely resolved.

The redness around my meatus and glans remains particularly persistent.

WHAT CONFUSES ME THE MOST

The discharge is real and visible. Sometimes I wake up with my urethral opening stuck together, and I frequently notice clear discharge that dries white on my underwear.

This makes me wonder whether there is still some type of inflammation or infection that hasn't been identified.

However, all the STI tests keep coming back negative.

This situation has been affecting my quality of life and mental well-being. Four months of symptoms, countless appointments, and no clear answers have been exhausting.

If anyone has experienced something similar, especially persistent clear discharge with negative STI tests, I would really appreciate hearing your story.

Me and my current partner both had sex with other people unprotected before deciding to exclusively sleep with each other. We had tests for HIV, HCV and syphilis and both of us came out negative, so we thought we'd be fine. A month into us having sex he got a urinary infection with white discharge. Couple of days later I started having white vaginal discharge, my lymph nodes were swollen, and my eyes felt dry all the time. My last sexual encounter before we started going out was like 3 weeks prior to him getting symptoms.

He went to the ER, got prescribed some antibiotics, they said it was for gonorrhea. A week later I had a ceftriaxone shot done and started taking doxycycline twice a day (paid for a private visit out of pocket). We had sex twice over the course of my antibiotic treatment (dumb as fuck, I know), with condom. After the second time I had a burning sensation while peeing and my eye started itching really badly. It has ceased since then but I'm scared I either introduced so much bacteria into my system the treatment isn't gonna work or that he still has it and he infected me again. Neither of us got tested yet because the earliest covered appointments we could book are next week, but we did treatment so it doesn't get worse. What's the best and worst case scenario? I get so paranoid about this I feel like the haze in my brain is from gonnorhea spreading there.

After having sex 6 days ago my urination has been increasingly uncomfortable, and I have redness at the urethral opening. There's also a clear pus that sits there.

I did blood n urine STD testing at a private facility and I'm negative so far but I am still pending on the chlamydia and gonorrhea results.

I also even went to urgent care, and my "urinalysis reflex microscopic reflex culture" sample was normal except for trace amount of blood in urine. My STD sample is still pending with them too.

Is there any chance my symptoms alongside normal labs so far and the trace blood in urine (still pending Chlamydia and gonorrhea) could be explained by any of the following?

- I remember what felt like my pee hole poking her pubic hair when we were cuddling right after said sex. Maybe it was from the sex itself? Vagina and anal.

- I pee'd into a lake while I was submerged, a few days earlier than the sex

- I started a dry powder application for jock itch on my crotch

**EDIT**: Private facility test results came back negative for STDs. Urgent care STD results pending but I feel confident it'll all be just fine. I will stop using the gold bond powder for a bit to see if that helps.
