Our PS5 update makes Witch Korana more aggressive and adds voice-sensitive detection through the DualSense controller’s built-in microphone: speaking can reveal your position.

SILVERPINE CREEK is a single-player, first-person survival horror game. You play a private investigator searching an abandoned village for missing tourists, with a VHS/bodycam presentation. You have no weapons; a camera flash is your only defence when Korana catches up.

How do you feel about microphone-based horror mechanics on PS5? Does having to stay physically quiet make an encounter more tense for you?

It’s off by default and is a really cool addition to the game.

New PULSE Explore earbuds paired fine with the PS Link adapter, but the firmware update prompt failed every time with "Something went wrong" (CE-102159-8). Battery was full, and retrying, resetting and restarting didn't help.

What worked: connect the earbud case directly to the PS5 with a USB-C to USB-C cable (earbuds docked), then update manually instead of using the pop-up:

Settings > Accessories > General > PS Link Connection Support > Update Device Software of PS Link Devices

Select the earbuds and follow the prompts. Afterwards unplug the cable and they reconnect wirelessly through the adapter.

I haven’t had a game make my jaw drop in the opening sequence like I did in Ace Combat 8…in a long long time… it actually made me reminisce about how far we’ve come from the tram opener from Half Life 1. Buy this game you will NOT regret it. Insane production value. Incredible experience on a solid tv.
