A group of three children sit in a tree house, all of them around a table, a mummified hand, clad in an orange bracelet sits upon it.

"Who hasn't, it's a story for little babies! You grab the hand and make a wish!"

"That's not all, it says that he'll grant the wish in the funniest way he sees fit!"

"Would that really count as a wish then? Like, if I wish for a million ryo, and I get it all in coins dropped on my head, then I get hurt and have to spend it on bandages, does it really count?"

"Stop being a nerd and grab it!"

"Why won't you?"

"Because...I have nothing to wish for."

"You're just scared!"

"No I'm not!"

"Mayuri, just admit you're a little chicken and be done with it!"

"I'm not a chicken!"

"Then wish for something!"

"Fine!"

Mayuri grabbed the hand and held it close.

"I wish Iko would shut up!"

And the hand twitched, stretched the snapped it's fingers. Iko, who had his arms crossed tried to speak, but couldn't, not a second later he began to float upward until he made contact with the ceiling.

"Ummmm. Mayuri, are you seeing this?"

"Yes?..what am I looking at?"

"Iko is..floating."

"I know that, but why?!"

"Well, the myth does say the funniest way possible."

"This isn't funny!"

"Well, it also said the funniest way that he sees fit."

"And who is he?!"

"You're holding something called 'Naruto's hand' and you're asking-"

"Shut up! Just I don't get how my wish turned into this!"

"I mean, you said that you wanted Iko to shut up, and now he can't talk and he's floating up, he's literally both shut and up."

"..."

"So, how do you think we should get him down?"

"Do you remember where we put the ladder?"

"I had to bring it back home, remember? My dad got mad at me for taking it."

"Right, do you think we could Naruto to get him down?"

"And make another wish, possibly making things worse? Yea no."

"I was talking about getting Naruto here."

"Mayuri, in case you don't know, that hand is at least several hundred years old, he's long dead, and I think he wouldn't be happy about us using his hand like this."

"I was thinking more along the lines of forbidden Jutsu."

"What?!"

"I mean, it's our only option!"

"It really isn't!"

"Oh yea, what, do you wanna make a wish with this thing?"

She threw the hand on the table, it flipped her off.

"..."

"That's gross."

"And rude."

"I mean, you did throw it."

"Still rude, but I'm still think along the line of forbidden Jutsu."

"Well, thanks to the Naruto clause of the 378th sage year, unless we are a Shinobi with high chakra reserves and can prove that we wont kill ourself just by using it, then we could put in an application to be able to have a forbidden Jutsu chosen for us."

"Hiro, you're such a nerd. And that would take too long, imma do what Naruto did when...wait."

"What."

"The Naruto clause came from someone named Naruto stealing the forbidden scroll when he was a genin and learning a forbidden Jutsu, you think that he's the same guy this hand is from?"

"You didn't put that together until now?"

"Screw you!"

Normally Sakura would be thrilled that Sasuke was in her room at 3am, in her dreams this usually led to something even better, but he only came here to talk about Naruto's weird amount of non-matching skills, talk about a mood killer.

"What's so special about the skills?"

"They don't add up!"

"I don't follow."

"Remember our mission from two months ago?"

"The one in Atlantis."

"Mhm, and Naruto spoke the language fluently!"

"Yup, it was quite useful and surprising."

"I asked him about it later that day and he told me it was because he made drugs before!"

"He's made drugs?"

"Yes! He did say that those days were behind him now. But that doesn't change the fact that he made them!"

"Could just be happenstance."

"So you don't believe me?"

"No."

"Okay, what about that mission with the bakery in tea country?"

"Oh yea, he baked that entire wedding cake in 30 minutes."

"Right! Well, I asked about that too! And he said it's because of his days working in the mines! We don't even have mines near Konoha! The closest one is a 3 weeks journey!"

"Mhm."

"Are you getting it?"

"Possibly."

"So no."

"No."

"How about that one time where he literally made gas masks for us because of the smog and polluted air in rust country! And he was just breathing it like it was nothing!"

"Right, he did say it was because of his time working as an attendant to a queen. But Sasuke, don't you think he's just saying this to trick you and get you riled up?"

"I thought so too at first, but then I traced all his job history, and he legit has those credentials and jail records for drug manufacturing and distribution!"

"That would explain his proficiency with a tattoo gun."

"No, he said that came from his time working in a forge."

"Fucking how?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out!"

"Do you remember what he said about his lock picking skills?"

"Came from his days as a revolutionary."

"Okay, that one actually makes sense..the gaining of the skill part from that, but how and why was he a revolutionary?!"

"What about his trap skills?"

"Pranks?"

"Pranks."

"Ah, pranks. But what about his basically immunity to genjutsu?"

"You'd think it'd be the vast amount of chakra, but no, it's the ADHD, the genjutsu just gets lost in the fog. The only time genjutsu worked on him is when Kakashi put him on Adderall for those two weeks."

"Eugh, productive Naruto.."

"I know, gross."

"Alright, but what about his most important skill?"

"His ability to eat ramen at a borderline alarming rate?"

"No."

"His ability to a terrifyingly good impression of what my mom's old friend Kushina looked like when angry, I only saw a picture when I was six, never again."

"No."

"Oh, it's his obliviousness to when a girl likes him."

"Poor Hinata, and no. It's his charisma."

"You think Naruto is charismatic?"

"I didn't at first, but when you see him talk down feuding warlords and have them settle their 800 year long war by having a drunk rock-paper-scissors match, well.."

"I see, I think I remember Kakashi asking Naruto about it once."

"And what'd he say?"

"He said something about making contracts with forest creatures."

Two Weeks Off

Baa-chan made him take two weeks off from all ninja duties. No missions, no training. She just told him to relax. She even forced him out of the village. He was in the Land of Waves.He sat watching the ocean. He just couldn't relax.

After the incident with Ino, she had become distant. During the past few sessions, she had sat farther away, refused to look at him, and left the second the session ended.

Naruto: She must be scared of me. I freaked her out pretty badly.

He sighed heavily and rubbed the back of his head.

Naruto: I'll apologize again when I get back. I don't want any of. I hope she will forgive me.

He sat up and brushed the sand off himself. It was late, so he might as well turn in for the night. He put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a bottle of pills. Baa-chan had said he needed to take two pills before going to sleep. He hated the taste, and after taking them, the pills knocked him out pretty quickly.

He put the pills back in his pocket and started making his way to the inn, but stopped when he heard what sounded like singing.

Naruto: Who would be here at this hour.

He followed the singing. He couldn't understand what the singer was singing about. He could pick out words here and there, but nothing that made sense to him. Almost in a trance, he followed the sound. Step after step, he continued onward. He felt as though he were in a dream, floating as he was being led.

His feet were in the water. He didn't know how he had gotten there, but he could still hear the singing. It was dark, and the moon was behind the clouds, making it almost impossible to see anything.

Straining his eyes as he looked around, he saw red. Sitting on a rock that jutted out of the water was a woman with red hair.

She stopped singing and looked at him, shocked at first, before smirking and sliding into the water. She swam over to him. She was beautiful, with red hair and brown eyes, and she was completely... naked.

He immediately turned around, blushing and covering his eyes.

??????: Didn't expect to see anyone at this time of night. The ocean breeze feels good tonight, don't you agree?

Naruto, still blushing and keeping his eyes closed, started taking off his jacket and tried handing it to her.

She laughed.

??????: I don't care if you see, a little nudity never killed anyone. The ocean breeze feels good on my skin.

He continued blushing, still holding the jacket.

Naruto: C-c-can you ple-please p-put it on?

Still laughing, she took the jacket.

??????: There, it's on.

He turned around to see that she had put on the jacket but hadn't zipped it up. Her breasts were on full display, and she was leaning toward him to give him a good view. She was smirking. He turned around so fast that he nearly snapped his neck.

Naruto tried speaking, except this time, what came out was garbled nonsense.

She laughed hard.

??????: You can turn around now. I promise I'm all zipped up.

Slowly, he turned around to see that she had zipped up the jacket. Thankfully, it was big enough to cover everything.

He was still blushing furiously.

Naruto: Thanks.

He still wouldn't look directly at her.

??????: You're welcome. Now, what's your name? You saw the twins, so the least you can do is tell me your name, na-blondie.

Naruto: Naruto. What's yours.

??????: Tayuya.

Naruto: Tayuya, Tayuya, Tayuya...

He had heard that name before, but when he thought about it, he heard singing.

She walked over beside him, sat down in the sand, and patted the spot beside her.

He slowly sat down, close but not too close to her.

Tayuya: So, tell me, Na-ru-to, what brings you out at this time of night besides peeking at women?

Blushing, he looked away from her.

Naruto: I'm on vacation. I followed your singing. I didn't mean to see you without clothes.

Tayuya: Oh, you don't have to be shy. You act like you've never seen a woman naked before.

He found himself blushing again.

Smiling, Tayuya laughed at him once more.

Tayuya: What are you, like, twenty, and you've never been with a girl? That's adorable. Big, bad ninja can't talk to girls.

He was annoyed that she was laughing at him again.

Naruto: I'm eightteen, and I talk to lots of girls. I have a girlfriend.

He looked away from her, so he didn't see the look of disappointment on Tayuya's face.

Tayuya: Okay, then, lady-killer. What's her name.

Naruto: Hinata Hyuga.

Tayuya: The Hyuga clan. Oh, blondie, you're dating a soul sucker. That's hilarious, giving everything that's happen tonight.

Naruto: Soul sucker? Besides Hinata, most Hyuga can be uptight, but I wouldn't call them soul suckers.

She was surprised by his response.

Tayuya: That's not what I meant, but you'll find out soon enough, I guess.

It was silent for a while. The only sound was the waves.

Naruto: What brings you out here.

Tayuya: Just swimming around, you know.

Smiling, Naruto looked at her.

Naruto: Flashing anyone who comes by?

Tayuya laughed harder than anyone he had ever heard before.

Tayuya: You learn fast, blondie. Too bad that Hyuga got her claws into you first.

She looked sad again.

Tayuya: You said you heard me singing.

Naruto: Yeah, it was very beautiful. But, to tell you the truth, I think I've heard it before.

Tayuya smiled, moved closer to him, and laid her head on his shoulder.

Tayuya: You have, many times. You used to love my singing and flute playing.

Naruto: What. This is the first time I've met you.

Tayuya: It's not. We met during the chunin exams.

Before he could say anything, she started singing. He felt his body go limp as she slowly guided him down. He couldn't move his body. She looked down at him, moved his head into her lap, and brushed his hair.

Tayuya: We met by accident. I was bored, it was the middle of the night, so I went into what I thought was an empty training ground and started to sing.

She began brushing her fingers across his whisker marks.

He couldn't do anything. He couldn't move, he couldn't open his mouth, and he could only watch.

Tayuya: Most people run when they hear me sing, but not you. You approached me. I don't know when you got there, but when I stopped, I heard you clapping.

A few tears fell onto him.

Tayuya: It was less than a month, but I got close to you. Closer than I've ever gotten to anyone.

She took a deep breath.

Tayuya: The day before the final round of the chunin exams, I erased your memories of me. I didn't want you to hate me.

He wanted to say something but couldn't. Even if he could, he didn't know what to say.

Tayuya leaned down and kissed him. He became extremely light headed.

Tayuya: It was nice talking to you again. It was fun teasing you, too. It was always fun seeing your face get all red.

She kissed him again and started singing what sounded like a lullaby. He felt tired, as if he hadn't slept in years.

Tayuya: Sweet dreams, blondie.

She kissed him one last time.

She continued singing, and he fell asleep.

He woke up on the beach. It was dawn, it would be morning soon.

Naruto: Did I fall asleep while looking at the ocean.

He got up and stretched, then put his hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out his bottle of pills. Baa-chan had told him not to skip a day, so hopefully, it would be okay. He placed the pills back in his pocket and made his way back to the inn.

As he walked back to the hotel, he didn't see a redhaired woman poke her head out of the water.

She smiled as she watched him for a bit before diving back down and swam away.

It would be better if it wasn't solely romance based and without harems

in this story Naruto befriends Yugao and Anko and defends Anko from some ninja. Danzo decides to do the unthinkable shocking Naruto in front of the village till he apologizes for defending Anko. Minato seeing this has had enough of their nonsense breaks free of the Shinagamis stomach and gives them a massive call out. Kami gives Minato some time and makes Kurama a Naruto personal summon.

I just wish this was longer

The story is set in a world that leans toward dark fantasy. Deidara is half-elf and half-Orc. Obito, the mercenary wolf (not sure) who enslaved Deidara, forced him to journey to an ancient ruin in order to revive his own family. Deidara is rather naive, and Obito is cruel and coercive. But in the end, as Deidara was on the verge of death, Obito chose to make a wish to save his life.

Its a fic that starts in Kirigakure’s poverty and the ensemble at first is 5 orphan children and how they try to feed themselves but get into serious trouble. The story gets more complicated with shinobi politics and character intentions later on.

The tone is dark but also funny, character driven fic that takes a major twist.

I see so many Uchiha OCs floating around. I've been writing one myself for almost a year now. I've developed enough lore that I could make a decent story out of it to post somewhere, but is anyone interested in that nowadays? This fandom is so large compared to others I've posted in 🤧

I also hesitate because my OC eventually ends up with Minato, and he has the canon pairing with Kushina. I saw an older post on here that was actually requesting fics where he ends up with somebody else, so I got inspired to make this one.

It'd be a canon rewrite with romance and political themes given my character is a main-family Uchiha in the ANBU with a unique Sharingan variant. Not really a 'fix-it all' character, but she does have some level of precognitive ability and opinions.

I want an honest opinion on whether or not that sounds interesting to anyone because I have created like a whole cinematic universe at this point lol. Formatting it into an actual fanfic is something I've wanted to do for a while.

Au where The Leaf is the one that got 3 villages targeting it and the survivors migrated to Whirlpool.

Naruto's birth is not something swept under a rug or hidden: The Uzukage was Naruto's Uncle, Kushina's blood brother.

The night Naruto was born and the fox got out it didn't have time to rampage because 20 Uzumaki's could Pin it down with chains. Minato still died due to the reaper death but Kushina either died much later due to the blown out chakra system or survives due to her not being the only one holding the fox.

Naruto is raised with the fact he's a prince and has expectations on how he acts.

For sake of the sorry all the Konoha 12's parents survived to migrate to whirlpool.

Naruto's birthday isn't a tragedy its a literal national Holiday where the actual leader of the island is holding him up.

What other changes would happen in this AU? The Uchiha probably wouldn't be massacred because the fox didn't get the chance to rampage.

We all read or heard about fics where Naruto has a sibling, twin or otherwise, where Minato and Kushina think the sibling is the child of prophecy and leave to train them after Kurama's attack while Naruto stays behind to take the heat, only for Naruto to be the right child of the prophecy.

But what if he wasn't?

What if Minato and Kushina chose the right kid?

Well, there's peace now, and everybody is happy, except Naruto.

He wasn't happy when his parents came back with his sibling; he surely wasn't happy about being made the scapegoat and pariah of the village to spare his sibling the suffering of being the village's 'demon brat,' and the fact Minato and Kushina weren't even sorry about it and only kept giving the same 'you will understand later' excuses did not help.

Then, the prophecy came true, peace was achieved, and Naruto still wasn't happy at all. At this point, he had already disowned his parents and sibling, a decision he was getting shit from everybody for being an ungrateful brat when the legendary Yellow Flash and his family were being oh-so-graceful about it and letting him bask in the glory of helping world peace.

His life was insufferable because people were egging on him for being unreasonable, while ignoring the glaring fact that, despite the outcome, it does not change the fact that his life had been hell.

His parents were no better; every time they tried to talk to him, they never acknowledged that what they did was wrong. They only saw that they accomplished what they wanted to and never understood that, independently of world peace being achieved, it does not change the fact that Naruto lived and still lives in hell because of their actions.

So, he does the only logical thing to give himself some peace; he changes his name, quits being a shinobi, and leaves the village, vanishing completely to start fresh as far away from Konoha as he can, and he succeeds.

Upon noticing that Minato and Kushina do nothing, at least in the beginning, they think Naruto just needs to cool down and that he'll come around in time, that he'll come back and they'll talk like adults, solve things, and be a family again.

That does not happen. What does happen is that the hype of the prophecy being fulfilled wears down, and they finally start to see reason when they hear just how bad the village is shitting on Naruto for not 'swallowing his pride and being thankful' for the hell the village made his life be.

When the rose-tainted glasses finally come off, they start to see that Naruto wasn't wrong to feel the way he felt; he wasn't wrong about not being thrilled with everything that happened because, independently of the outcome, his life was shit anyway. They finally notice that they were thinking he was unreasonable because they got the outcome they wanted.

That's when they start to look for Naruto, to apologize, this time, doing it right, and try to make up for him, but by now years had passed; any trail that could lead them to him went cold a long time ago.

Then, tragedy strikes as the child of prophecy, the one who brought peace to the world, dies of chakra disease. During the funeral, Kushina is heartbroken and snaps into a grief-filled fit of rage as she gets fed up with the whispers about how much of a disgrace Naruto was for not even showing up to his sibling's funeral.

So, time passes, they grow old and wrinkled, watching their friend's kids grow up, become shinobi, climb through the ranks, get married, and have kids of their own while they are all alone and filled with regrets, until they die of old age, alone in their home.

Then, they wake up.

They somehow traveled back to the past right after the end of the Fourth Shinobi War when peace had been achieved. They were given a second chance to fix things, and they won't mess this up.

But that won't be easy; after all, the way they behaved after peace was achieved has been the straw that broke the camel's back, but there was build-up, and those past wounds are not easy to mend

Any fics where Danzo manages, some how some way, to get control/custody of Naruto?

I have this idea of where Hiruzen actually allows Danzo to raise/train Naruto but with some obvious stipulations to help prevent the boy from becoming the emotionless tool Root would make him.

Maybe Danzo has to make Naruto his successor or something, or maybe we're dealing with a good-ish Danzo (which i impossible I know lol) that genuinely wants to make Naruto as great a ninja as possible for the betterment of the village.

Fics where Naruto just chooses to go to Danzo on his own work too. I think I just want something that has not only more interaction between the two of them, but also a deeper relationship than the typical Danzo is a bad guy that wants to make Naruto his personal tool and/or wants to kill/banish him.

All three of Kakashi's students stared at him sheepishly, before all at once pointing at him.

Hey! I've been working on this Naruto OC for a while and wanted to share him here. I'd love to hear what you guys think!

Affiliation: ANBU / Hunter-nin
Kekkei Genkai: Ice Release (Hyōton)

Background

Ren is a descendant of the Yuki clan, which was persecuted during Kirigakure's Bloody Mist era. His mother fled the village to protect them both, and although she wasn't a particularly skilled shinobi, she taught him what she knew about their clan's Ice Release.

They eventually returned to Kirigakure when the village began to change. His mother never really stopped fearing that the persecution might happen again, but Ren believes in the village it has become. He loves Kirigakure and wants to protect it, although he isn't the kind of person who would blindly follow an order he believes is wrong.

Personality and his condition

Ren is quiet, observant and not particularly sociable, but he gets along well with the people he trusts. He's also fairly pragmatic and doesn't see much point in dwelling on things he can't change.

Both he and his mother suffer from a hereditary heart condition. His mother's condition has progressed to the point where she is terminally ill, while Ren can still live and work as a shinobi, provided he knows his limits. Prolonged physical exertion can cause him to collapse, and pushing himself too far can be fatal.

He doesn't resent this or see himself as helpless because of it. Instead, he tries to make the most of what he can do. He trains to stay in shape, but he can't keep up with the endurance of a healthy shinobi forever, so he relies more on preparation and strategy.

He also hides how bad his condition can get from his mother. He doesn't want to make her worry about losing him while she's already facing her own illness.

Fighting style

Ren specializes in tracking, ambushes and controlling the battlefield. Rather than overpowering an opponent, he tries to limit their options and finish the fight before it turns into a prolonged battle.

He uses Ice Release to set traps, make surfaces slippery, create small defensive barriers and launch ice spikes when he needs a stronger attack. His main weapons are ordinary senbon, which he uses with precision, and he carries a few short knives as backup.

He also has some Water Release training, mostly useful for underwater infiltration, and uses Wind Release for minor movement assistance. Neither is as developed as his Ice Release.

His biggest weakness is endurance. If an opponent survives his initial attacks and forces him into a long fight, Ren can quickly find himself at a disadvantage.

His mentor

Ren was trained by an experienced hunter-nin who is considered one of the best in Kirigakure. He's around 55 years old, nearly 1.95 m tall, heavily scarred and still an intimidating opponent despite no longer being at his peak.

Interestingly, his preferred fighting style is taijutsu. He's an excellent tracker and assassin, but he's also the kind of hunter who can follow a target for hours and then finish the job at close range.

He served during the Bloody Mist era and has never tried to hide that part of his past from Ren. Their relationship isn't based on pretending those years never happened. Ren knows what his mentor was involved in, but also recognizes the person he has become since then.

The mentor is strict and rarely gives praise, although he genuinely cares about Ren's well-being. Ren, in turn, trusts his judgment more than anyone else's when it comes to military matters, even though he still respects the Mizukage's authority.

Their fighting styles are quite different: his mentor prefers to hunt down his targets directly, while Ren prefers to control their movements and leave them with fewer and fewer ways to escape.

A mission that changed things

One of the most important events in Ren's life happened during a mission when his heart condition finally caught up with him and he could no longer continue. A teammate had to save him and suffered devastating injuries in the process, losing several limbs.

The teammate was eventually transferred to Kirigakure's Intelligence Division, where he now does administrative work. He's still serving the village, but this was never the life he wanted for himself.

He doesn't openly blame Ren, and they can still speak and work together, but things between them have never quite returned to how they were before. Ren knows that his teammate lost a future he had worked for, and that knowing this doesn't make the situation any easier.

The incident also gave some people another reason to question whether a Yuki shinobi with a heart condition should be sent on dangerous missions. Others judge Ren more fairly, based on his actual performance. He doesn't try to convince everyone to like him; he just keeps doing his job, while being more careful about the risks he asks others to take.

Ultimately, Ren wants to protect the Kirigakure he grew up to believe in. His mother remembers the village as something to fear, while he sees something worth fighting for. I think that difference between them is one of the most important parts of his character.

As title suggests looking for a fic I’m pretty sure i know who it was by but i think they have deleted the fic, so anyways my little summary of what happens:

Naruto and team seven are at an inn/tavern little do they know that team taka is there, they’re having food and drinks or whatever, anyways naruto decides to go dance with a guy(sasuke in a henge i think Naruto knows not sure) and he and said guy go up to a room but beforehand they’re Sakura and Naruto have a bit of a fight and uses a jutsu on him before punching him the gut i think. Naruto and Sasuke proceed to a room. A couple of months later Naruto finds out he’s pregnant. Can’t remember if they may have had a relationship that was secret.

It's been said that Kakashi has copied 1000 jutsus on his ninja career, yet, we saw he doesn't know anything that's not chidori (joke).

so instead he just copied the jutsus, never bothered to learn them and enemies/allies just assumed he did. So the only jutsu he can do without sharingan is chidori.

When team 7 asks for jutsus to learn, all he can teach is chidori, when doing missions, all he does is spam chidori, when making a sandwich, he cuts the ingredients with chidori.

If he fights someone, he just keeps spamming their own jutsus against them.

Kakashi has dominated the art of the copy ninja so much, he copied his own chidori from himself.
