Fam, I don't know why, but Ron Weasley is my favorite character from Harry Potter and it is SO HARD to find a good Ron focused fic with just the filter system (I did try key words like Ron-centric, Ron focused, main character Ron, etc).

If any of y'all have one that you really enjoyed, please recommend in the comments. Other characters can naturally be in the fic, not too picky about pairing (though I lean M/M), but I crave either protective Weasleys or BAMF!Ron when possible, thank you. I'll even take dark fics as long as they turn out alright T-T

As the title suggests, Harry leaves Hogwarts and hires a private tutor.

The tutor is a young woman who had been taking an aging potion; when she stops taking it, it is revealed that she had not aged at all since she first began using it.

The concept of female Malfoy characters is nothing new. I mean I have read fanfiction where Draco gets turned into a girl before any of this latest trend started. Or him or his father having a sister.

So I am wondering what if Draco's cousin Delphini was born around his age (which makes more sense to me btw). And then was raised as a sister to Draco in the Malfoy household. Since she is a metamorph like her other cousin Nymphadora, she could easily change her hair and eyes to match the rest of the family. So her name would be Delphini Malfoy rather than Delphini Riddle or Delphini Lestrange.

I'm thinking maybe just someone random who also fits the mold. Hopefully not a potter or long bottom twin/sibling. I had a random thought about this and came here. No m/m please.

Hi, any help is appreciated, Harry is one of Bellatrix and Voldemorts two sons, however Voldemort still goes AWOL after the end of the first war, and Bellatrix and the dark side prioritise Harry’s brother and neglect harry.

When Voldemort returns he grows obsessed over Harry, but in order to draw out the resistance he pretends to name the brother the heir.

As a result Peter Pettigrew poisons Harry’s brother. However Harry doesn’t know about this and feeling betrayed, magically disowns himself from Bellatrix, but is interrupted before he can do the same with Voldemort and is then named the heir.

Please I’ve been looking for this one for ages and any help would be awesome :)

I’m looking for a fanfic where Harry, Ron, and Hermione fight Voldemort together—all three of them, side by side—and ideally emerge victorious.

Alternatively, any fic that focuses on their friendship and doesn’t feature "bashing" of the Weasleys or Dumbledore would also work (bashing is okay, but I’d prefer it if there weren’t any).

There were no wards, or magic prickling upon her skin, as Minerva McGonagall walked up to the plain green door. A sharp knock upon rough wood brought a noticeable pause to the activity inside, before footsteps indicated the arrival of a kind, yet weary-faced woman. Said woman looked the deputy headmistress up and down once, then again upon seeing the robes she wore.

“Martha, matron of this orphanage. May I help you, ma’am?” She asked. Polite, but firm. 

McGonagall cleared her throat, before beginning a speech memorized long ago. “Good morning. I am the deputy headmistress for a private school located in Scotland, and was hoping to speak to two of your charges, about their future education plans.”

Martha looked skeptical, likely thinking of scams and opportunities too good to be true, an idea Minerva hoped to dissuade her of quickly.

“Their parents, alumni of our school, put their names down upon birth. A tradition, for many families.” This was not entirely true, but the story had worked for her in the past.

“Well, you had better come in then,” Martha said, opening the double doors before shutting them behind her with a click. Inside, the sound of children and music could be heard. “Who are the two children you wish to speak to?” 

Minerva fought the urge to look down again, before uttering the two names that had been on her mind for the past week. “Daphne Greengrass, and… Harry Potter.”

The surprised look she received on hearing the names was concerning to Minerva, before Martha explained. “We have a Daphne and a Harry, but we were unaware of their last names. Both were dropped off at this orphanage nearly a decade ago, just a few weeks apart. Young Harry came to us with a short letter that included his name, and Daphne’s was found embroidered into her blanket. The constables looked for any records of the children, but never found anything.”

Many had fallen through the cracks after the war, Minerva thought. She nodded, before asking her own question of the matron. “Tell me a little about them?” It was rather open-ended, but she was curious what Martha would have to say. 

She got a genuine smile in return. “Those two have been attached at the hip since they could walk—and with Daphne’s younger sister, Astoria—well, they’re a proper little family.” 

Minerva hadn’t known about the sister, but supposed she wouldn’t have. It had been assumed by most that the Greengrass family had moved to the continent after the war, but something must have happened to cause two pureblood witches to grow up in an orphanage. She would need to make inquiries with Gringotts and the ministry on the matter. 

They continued down the hall, until reaching what seemed to be the main communal area. Tables and chairs lined one wall, where children of various ages were sitting with their friends and eating breakfast. Scanning the tables, she did not see the expected mop of messy black hair. Before she could ask Martha, the woman pointed her past the eating area to a small, open kitchen.

Harry Potter stood in front of a large stove, multiple fry pans filled with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and more. Daphne, for who else could she have been, stood at the sink to his side, helping occasionally and washing dishes as other children brought them back, empty. The thin, younger girl on Harry’s other side, who must have been Astoria, was diligently measuring out ingredients, biting her lip in concentration.

Minerva smiled. She had been terribly worried watching the Dursley’s all those years ago. Despite being an orphanage, Harry clearly did not lack for people who cared about him. Perhaps the Dursley's had finally done something good, even if this outcome was not—and she was confident it wasn’t—their intention.

James was certain Snivellus would not have expected Marauders to pay a visit to Spinners End after overhearing thats where he lived when Lily was chatting with Marlene.

He had everything ready. His parents were easy enough to convince, and believed Severus was a friend he wanted to visit.

He had a shrunken bag full of dungbombs and toilet paper spelled to run away if tried to be removed and some itching powder to remind old snivellus he should bath more.

He had managed to rope Sirius and Remus into it, though peter had chickened out.

Only when it came to actually vandalizing Snape Household they heard horrible noises and screams of anger from inside.

James immediately brandished his wand and ran inside, believing Snape was hurting his parents, and saw Snape trying to protect his mother from his drunken father despite having a black eye and a bloodied nose.

Tobias Snape had lost half of his monthly salary in poker again. and when Eİleen got snide at him for doing so again third time in a row, he had broke a chair on her head in his drunken rage.

One thing leads to another and James gets stabbed by a broken bottle in the arm while trying to shield Severus from his father.

They leave with Severus and Eileen in tow to Potters home, childish ideas of pranking and kicking Snape down in his own home forgotten.

Thus ends the marauders era drama before it can even begin.

i’ve been wondering if there are fanon theories or fanfiction tropes (i personally have not seen of read anything of the sort) where two wizards can use each other’s wands interchangeably?

maybe in the sense that they love each other (whether platonic or romantic is irrelevant) or in the sense that there’s a soul bond or something and the other’s wand responds identically (perfectly) as their own would?

Im really open to any type of tropes tbh, but I also really enjoy isekai. Bonus point if the ofc actually has a personality or her own and not just completely perfect. And another Bonus point if the Knights of Walpurgis is added👀👀

Honestly these four are my fav characters and I’ve been on a bit of a deluge with stuff that features them four in a more thoughtful way. Particularly really liking the Parselmagic series, Subjectiverse by Potionpen, and the Lilyverse series by sunnyskywalker. Anyone else liking these recently?

for some context; when I was a kid I always wanted to watch this but for some reason something held me back. I think it was probably the color palette that changed my mind back then. what can I say I was just 9yo. but now since I’m an adult I finally decided to start with the movies. I expected it to be a hard watch, since the actors in first 2-3 movies were little kids, not that it’s bad or anything. it’s just a me problem, I can’t tolerate kids most of the time. surprisingly it wasn’t bad, at all.

first movie was a bit hard (again it was a me problem) but in the second one I actually started paying attention. by the third movie, I was completely blown and in love. and after that I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. I felt like I was too late and took too much time to watch this. I never thought I’d say this, but I wish I watched this sooner, when I was a kid. my younger self would have been unhealthily obsessed and happy with this. So to release my happiness I need some cathartic fanfiction recommendations. note that I’ve never read Harry Potter fanfiction before nor the books, though I’ve been in the fanfiction culture for years now. you can just recommend me basically anything you want, I’m open to try any suggestions. give me your best!

Voldemort’s original fated soulmate was killed years ago. The desperate Order summons a powerful Harry from another dimension. I can't remember if it was on fanfiction or ao3. The Potters are at the Burrow, enjoying lunch in the garden, when Ron takes yet another opportunity to tease Harry about having Draco Malfoy- the Death Eater for a brother-in-law. Harry has heard the joke often enough to know Ron considers it a reliable source of amusement, one he can return to whenever the conversation gets dull.

Daphne’s expression tightens. She had never been particularly supportive of her younger sister Astoria’s pursuit of Malfoy, but that doesn’t mean she appreciates anyone questioning her sister’s morals for marrying him. Harry, for his part, has never particularly liked Draco. Their history at Hogwarts has given him plenty of reasons to dislike the man, and becoming brothers-in-law hasn’t changed that. Still, Harry knows that openly attacking Draco’s suitability as a husband would hurt Daphne, who adores her sister and little niece and would never take kindly to anyone implying that her sister had questionable morals for choosing the child’s father.

Harry turns to Hermione for help. She catches his pleading look perfectly well but ignores it, clearly enjoying the spectacle from the sidelines. Old grudges died hard.

It’s not as though Harry hasn’t spoken to them about this before. He’s had separate conversations with both Ron and Hermione, hoping to get them to lay off the subject. But it hasn't worked.

Harry looks back at Ron, who seems entirely too pleased with himself.

Well, two can play at that game.

“Honestly, Ron, if we’re bringing up questionable romantic decisions from Hogwarts…” Harry trails off, glancing towards Fleur. “How are you managing at family dinners these days?”

Fleur, having caught his look, turns towards Harry, intrigued.

Ron’s smile falters. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Oh, nothing,” Harry says, with fake innocence dripping in his tone. “I was just thinking how awkward it must be, having Fleur here after that memorable attempt you made at asking her out.”

Bill slowly lowers his fork. Fleur’s eyebrows shoot up, and then a delighted smile spreads across her face as she looks between Harry and Ron.

“Harry,” Daphne warns quietly, squeezing his thigh beneath the table.

He ignores her.

“Just curious,” Harry continues, warming to this subject. “Do you still carry a torch for our Fleur? Must be a bit of a predicament, having your old crush become your sister-in-law. Remember what you said at your Bachelor party...?"

Harry let the question hang. From this table, only George was present when Ron had drunkenly confessed to still finding Fleur the hottest witch. But the implication was all that was necessary.

Bill looks between his wife and his brother, his expression settling somewhere between disbelief and amusement. Fleur, meanwhile, tilts her head at Ron, clearly interested in hearing his answer.

Hermione’s gleeful expression vanishes. She looks like she'd swallowed a lemon. She, too, turns to get a good look at Ron's face.

Ron goes scarlet.
