What should the Yankees do with Giancarlo Stanton?
- Keep him
- Buy him out
Giancarlo Stanton's future in pinstripes is reportedly
"murky," per @GaryHPhillips.

What are your predictions on what would be discussed in the inevitable Brian Cashman/Hal Steinbrenner presser?
Do you think they'll address what went wrong, how it went wrong, and what they'll do to finally address our concerns and frustrations and do whatever it takes to get our Yankees back on top?

The Yankees need to stop collecting former All-Stars
There’s been a lot of talk about Boone, the Yankees losing their culture, analytics, etc.
I think a big part of the problem is every year, we seem to try and fill our holes with former All-Stars:
Chisholm, Heliot Ramos, Goldschmidt, Bellinger, Donaldson, Gallo, Rizzo, McCutchen, Encarnación, Andrew Benintendi, Devin Williams, Doval, etc.
My theory is that it’s hard to accept that you’re no longer that player. You’ve made your money, established your reputation, and still believe you can be the hero every time you step up to the plate. Sometimes we just need a guy to work a count.
Not saying these guys don’t care about winning, or that every acquisition was a mistake. But I do think there’s something to be said for having players fighting to establish themselves rather than a collection of former stars trying to recapture their prime.

[Nightengale] The Milwaukee Brewers, who are one victory away from their first World Series since 1982, are taking extra batting practice 5 hours before first pitch.
Compare this to the Yankees, who, as CC pointed out this week, didn't travel together, stayed in separate homes instead of a playoff hotel, didn't have a practice on the turf at the Trop AT ALL, and as Sherman pointed out, rarely did extra work after May, in any fashion.
CC directly criticized player leadership as much as management. Sherman pointed out the massive culture shift from 20 years ago.
It's fucking sad, tbh. Yankee fans under 30 deserve so much more.

[Reds beat reporter Mark Sheldon] Oswaldo Cabrera signing with the #reds is a one-year deal worth $1 million with a chance to earn $200K is performance bonuses based on plate appearances.
Waldo avoids arbitration and will play in Cincinnati next season (if there is one).

MUST TRADE FOR
Looking at how the remaining playoff lineups are assembled, it makes me upset realizing how deeply flawed the Yankees’ lineup is. With George Lombard Jr. and Spencer Jones emerging, now is the time to build around young talent and Elly De La Cruz is the perfect fit.
Elly is already an All-Star with a top-10 MVP finish, elite power and speed, and the versatility of a switch-hitting infielder. He’s also under team control through 2029, making him a more sustainable investment than a premium free agent. The prospect cost would be significant, but the Yankees’ rotation is difficult to break into and their best prospects are pitchers. If the choice is protecting Dax or pursuing a potential franchise cornerstone like Elly, the answer should be obvious.
I view it as a must trade, I’m tired of plug and play moves. Our last home run acquisition was Juan Soto…we went to the world series. I respect Jeffers/Suzuk/Sato and all the other moves we’re rooting for but why not capitalize on our farm at some point ?
