I saw Shohei.
What are the chances that Ohtani himself comes into my work, the day right after the Dodgers get eliminated. My co-workers were going nuts, and customers even had to stop and do a double-take to realize that it was him.
All I can say is, he seems like a very nice guy. Along with his wife Mamiko, whom he was with. There was a very brief moment where we made eye contact and he greeted me with a head nod and I just said, “You’re the man, Shohei.” To which he replied, “Thank you.” Then went about his business. That little engagement was so awesome. We lost but at least he gave us that homer yesterday to cheer for. I wish him another great year next season when he’s 100% healthy. Go Dodgers!

Mookie Betts: "This season didn't end the way we wanted, but I just want ot thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. Through the ups and downs, you continued to show up and show love. I don't take any of that for granted. Thank You, Dodger Nation"

From making his MLB debut as a Dodger in 2014 to finishing his career as a Dodger (despite playing at Miami in between) Thank you for everything (especially kershaw's 2014 no hitter game and the season-saving play last year), Miggy. Once a Dodger, Always a Dodger

Shoutout to Andy Pages for turning it around this postseason! I hope to see continued improvement from him next season.
Pages led the 2026 team in postseason RBI’s. Seeing the dugout go nuts after his breakthrough RBI in the NLDS was one of the high points of this postseason. I know a lot of fans soured on his bat after his 2025 performance and there is more to be desired still, but he put in the work to contribute in 2026. He kept us in it, and I think he will be better next postseason. I am grateful we have Andy Pages.

Things that warm the hearts of fans in the offseason - Day 1

Don’t buy the empty seats narrative, Dodgers still sold 49k tickets in an elimination game, more than any other ballpark could fit.

This Statistical Coincidence Is Beyond Incredible
I checked the at bats, average, and hits and they match up.

It has been a rough 24 hours but I always find comfort in the Vin Scully’s words.

Manny Ramirez the Next Hitting coach! He’s looking for a Hitting coach job
The rumor is he’s looking for a hitting Coach position. As you can remember at one point, we used to have Mark McGuire. Who says no to this?
Last year, I thought ABS would really help Will Smith and Yamamoto, especially since Will is one of the worst framers. But after seeing these numbers, I’m pretty disappointed.
Out of 19 incorrect calls that could have been challenged, Will let 16 of them go. In comparison, Contreras only let 6 go. Contreras doesn’t have a particularly good challenge success rate, but at least he knows when he should challenge a call.

But you know what — there will be a new day, and eventually a new year. And when the upcoming winter gives way to spring, rest assured it will be time for Dodger baseball.

Miguel Rojas Appreciation Post
One of the most selfless players in the sport. Gave up his number to rookie Sasaki and dropped out of representing his country in the WBC in order to get more reps in spring training and be ready for opening day after Lux tore his ACL.
He made the most out of his opportunities this October and slashed .333/.429/.500. Oh yeah and he also hit the most important homerun in MLB history.
I hope he stays with the Dodgers organization forever. No true fan will ever mutter a bad word about him.

Nothing but gratitude
Dodgers were the best team in baseball from 2013-2026.8. I for one will always cherish this run.
Found these today in the Asian grocery store.
EDIT: we can hold our heads up when any Giants fan wants to discuss 2010-2014, we have 2013-26. Youth movement loading

Kyle Tucker Appreciation Post
Tucker spent a lot of the season struggling, but he never stopped trying. no matter how many times people talked shit about him, he just kept trying. His turnaround was worth his entire contract. HE showed up. HE got on base. HE put bat to ball. HE had top OPS on the team.
And you want to know another part? He seemed like the best teammate possible. He was in the dugout talkin to guys, bringing good energy. He could have been pissed that in order to win he would have to hit a HR every AB since nobody was ever on for him and nobody ever drove him home.
This man gave us everything he had and he did exactly what we paid him for: show up in the postseason. What an incredible run by an incredible guy. I’ve been ride or die for him for a while, but i want everyone to give this man his flowers.
THANK YOU BIG TUCKKKKK

[Stephen] Miguel Rojas confirmed he has played his last game, he’s retiring and moving into some role with the Dodgers going forward. He’s still wearing his cleats, said it’s going to be very hard to take them off

Really tired of those hindsighted podcasters and clueless haters
Those podcasters care about nothing but views. They talk as if getting swept somehow invalidates the two-peat. But no matter what they try to claim, the fact is still clear that the Dodgers are still the most successful team of the 2020s.
They always push that narrative that the biggest payroll means the biggest failure if you lose. But payroll is about what players have done in the past, not what they can do now. Yeah, the team is old and a lot of players are underperforming, but we still have a great farm system and plenty of options in free agency. I firmly believe that we can come back stronger next season.
I agree we have flaws, but if we shake things up this offseason, we’re still good enough to compete for a championship in following years. Anyone who thinks the Dodgers are done is either trolling or completely clueless. They talk as if one bad series erases the entire decade.
