Weapon Function:

Steel Katana: Gives X a katana that allows you to unleash a slash that moves diagonally. Pressing up while using the attack will make you slash diagonally upward in the direction you are facing, pressing down will make you slash diagonally downward. If no button is pressed, your dash direction will be based on where you are (up if on the ground, down if in the air) 

Charged: Spawns a barrage of swords that fall from the sky, stabbing into the ground and hitting everything in the way.

Sorry if this was asked here before because I was looking at how frequently the games themselves came out in the early 90s as something I noticed was how the Classic era just disappeared around the late 90s.

It’s just hard for me to explain why that sticks out to me now as I suppose I found it interesting how the series just quietly disappeared after Megaman 8 came out as no more mainline games showed up.

Like I said, same imagery from the original Complete Works Book but very unique Art style back in the nes era to the 16 bit , Sega Saturn ones ( Mega Man 8 , soccer on snes to Battle and chase racing game)

To clarify what I mean by this, it's simple.

In X9 timeline, we get the X9 we all dreamed of, but however Capcom makes it is how it's going to come out. Weather they continue where they left of with Axl, a new villain, bring Sigma one last time, 2D, 3D, However it turns out is how we're going to get it.

Maverick Hunter X was originally going to be a reboot of the entirety of X1-X6. Revising the story and change it a bit, like how Sigma became focused on X, while in the original games his focus was Zero. Dr. Cain dies in the Day of Sigma OVA, while we see him just fine in X2 and X3. Maverick Hunter X is also the game that redefined Vile for most players. Whatever they may have planned for X2-X6, they would make it and give it to us.

The anime is a whole new thing. Whether they adapt the story and lore games of the games or do their own thing like they did with Battle Network and Starforce doesn't change the fact that it would be an anime focused on Megaman X.

Legit had so much wasted potential, he is teased to be ultra powerful since the start of the game, beat the ass of the 3 gardians and needed zero and x to beat him a centuary ago, and in the game he lowkey is a fraud. At first i thought bro was just some sort of beast, cuz he doesn't speak in his armored form and all he do is grawl and after beating him in is true form he only have ONE voiceline, the guy that is zero original body, caused a genocide and needed two hero to beat, the final boss has one actual voiceline and speak less than i dunno fairy Leviathan, sad.

It's definitely more challenging than it's predecessors X1 and X2. In fact, it's the hardest Mega Man X game, in my opinion. Yes, even more so than X6. There's a few things reasons I have for this:

1. The other games have at least one Maverick that can easily be beaten with regular buster shots. X3 doesn't really have this, as even the recommended Maverick to start with (Blizzard Buffalo) is no pushover with just the X Buster.

2. You take more damage in this game in general, unless you get the upgrades.

3. This has, by far, the hardest Sigma battles. If you get hit by his attacks in either form, they hit like a truck.

With all that said, X3 is still a great game. Being hard doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.

While I can see someone making the case for X6, to me, X3 is harder. Which do you think is harder?

I swear to god, Shock Girl was created well before Sparkle Girl burst onto the scene (pun?).

Jackpot Man. He's a funny one for me as I hate gambling and have seen family and friends ruin their lives from it.

Weapon Mode [A] is Coin Toss. A short/medium range weapon that flips a coin under an enemy that either destroys smaller enemies or allows you to pass by larger enemies unharmed while they're flipped over.

[B] is Jackpot Score. The "area of effect" attack that fills the screen and temporarily fills in pits and deadly obstacles with coins to allow you to safely pass.

Demon Man. Somewhat inspired by Cell (Dragon Ball). That said, his left arm is built out of a log from a haunted tree, granting him special powers. He wears a coin around his neck, gifted by Jackpot Man.

Weapon [A] is Bale Fire. Think Pharaoh Shot -- but green and spooky.

Weapon [B] is Phantom Limb. You can grab weakened or smaller enemies and carry them above you to fire as a projectile.

Shock Girl. She desires to be taken seriously given her serious line of work as a line maintenance robot.

Weapon [A] is Arc Flash. A devaststing but short range attack that hits opponents up close.

Weapon [B] is Shock Transmission. The "dash attack" of the weapons. You instantaneously zap across the screen which can set you up for an Arc Flash.

Last is Pulse Man again, just to have them all (so far) in one place.
