I am itching for a new lens for my Lumix G9
Hello all, just under a year ago I purchased a G9 and a set of kit lenses; 45-150mm f4, 25mm f1.7, and 14mm f2.5. And while they're great and I don't mind them. I actually gravitated to my Pentax-M 28mm f2.8 prime that I adapted to my camera. For some extra context, the G9 was my first digital camera, with a large chunk of my shooting being on an Olympus OM-40 lol...
My kit lenses are fine, theyre sharp and get the job done. But something that I enjoy the most about my Pentax is the tactile nature of it. Everything is adjusted manually (for obvious reasons) and I find that to be a missing element with the more modern lenses I have currently.
Most if not all of my photography is either street or architecture with some instances where distance matters (not often enough though) and all of these photos are for my own collection, I don't shoot professionally or anything.
So I ask, any ideas on prime lenses I should try?
I've attached some of my favorite pictures shot on the camera + lens, thanks for reading.

Moving from an OMD EM-10 Mk 4 to an OM1 Mk 2. Weight change.
Photo is my present birding setup. I hate the AF. With the teak and aluminum grip, the body, battery and mem card weigh 441 grams. OM 1 Mk 2 body, battery and mem card weight is listed as 599 grams, or about 36% heavier. I will still use my plastic fantastic for now until I can afford one of the pro zooms. I wear the EM-10 on a backpack strap. I will do the same for the om1 mk2. I wear binoculars at the same time on a harness.
Anyone think the weight change will be too much?

Traded all my Sony gear for an OM-3 and haven’t looked back
Have been so happy since ditching full-frame. Anyone else have a similar experience??

absolute beginner
a few favourites from my first couple of days shooting. all taken with an original EM10 with the pancake kit lens.
I was pleasantly surprised by these but my only frame of reference are pictures taken with my phone, any obvious things to change/ improve on?

Are there any fast weather sealed telephoto primes that work well for MFT?
Looking to upgrade my current G7 + Lumix 45-150mm setup to an OM-5 and ideally a faster tele. The OM 14-150 with the new body's IBIS + IS sync should be a major improvement already, but one thing is it won't really get me is more stops as 150mm will still be f/5.6. This is an issue because I work a 9-5 in the Midwest, meaning most of my free time and therefore shooting time for the next 6 months will be after dark, and I am a birder-turned-photographer so my subjects tend to be a little fidgety. I need to be able to hit decent shutter speeds with only streetlights and the moon, which I acknowledge is inherently tricky on MFT.
I've been looking at the OM 40-150 f/2.8 pro but it just seems so big and a bit unwieldy. I've been trying to look at any options to get to 150mm+ focal length whilst achieving an f/2.8 or better without getting much bigger than the 14-150mm. I just don't see much of an option from OM at least that bridges the gap between the 14-150mm and the pro.
I do know some options I'd have if I wasn't wanting weather sealing (adapter or speed booster + EF mount 200mm prime), so that is the tricky bit for me here.
Any ideas or recs? I haven't gone down the rabbit hole of weather sealed adapter + weather sealed lens from other format, that seemed kind of niche. Then again, the fact that I can't find the lens I want probably means the setup I want is a bit niche.

Recommendations on a tripod?
My cheap Sunpak tripod finally gave way after about 15 yrs, tbh probably used it maybe once every 2-4 months but recently did double duty as a a mount for my Starlink Mini. Looking for a replacement in the sub $200 category and welcome recommendations. This is my only photography sub which is why I'm posting here, thanks.
Will OM System ever add the grain feature to its color mode (Pen and OM-3)?
Will there be ever an option adding grain to the color modes? In mono it is available but why they never added it for color as well?
I know grain is a love and hate subject but I would prefer to have the option to add even in color mode than not have it at all.

Upcoming Iceland Trip
What would be a dream lens (or 2) to experience Iceland with? My current lineup includes a OM 12-45/f4, OM 14-140/f4-5.6, and a PL 9/f1.7. All are mated to an OM5 Mk II. We’re going in May for a bucket list adventure.

E-plate? City Architecture. OM System EM10 IV, 45mm f1.8.
Can I find a real difference with a different system or is it just knowledge and fine tuning?

OM5ii + 12-40 f2.8 PRO
Tried to do focus stacking, but there was a bit of wind. This isn't the best lens for this. I need to pull the trigger on the 60mm f2.8 Macro.

Taken at 1/125s. First time photographing moving subjects. Wanted to go for a "moving action look". Still not sure, if the cars are a bit too blurry.
