Happy Thursday all! This morning’s tarot card is the Two of Wands, representing a crossroads that offers an opportunity to do something outside of the routine. As with all important decisions, these opportunities do not come without risk. This card however reminds us that there can be adventure and excitement to be had in this fleeting life, but it’s also essential to plan and strategize.
I wrote about my car being recently stolen and totaled, with the subsequent valuation/payout being significantly higher than I expected. My crossroads is this: do I stay in my default mode of going with a reliable, “responsible” replacement— or do I step out of my comfort zone and look for something way more fun? I mean, life is short. Will I live it with regrets? A departure from my much more spiritual/internal reads of these cards.
I read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath this week— a groundbreaking novel set in an era where mental health was demonized/stigmatized and rarely discussed in the public sphere. Although a few passages are definitely relics of their time, the general themes in this book still resonate strongly today.
