We tried to carry a glass door through Level 0 together. It went about as well as you'd expect.

• Upvotes

Hey! I'm a solo dev from Finland and this is Backrooms: Steal the Furniture.

You and up to 3 friends noclip into the Backrooms, find furniture, drag it home and sell it upstairs so you can pay the rent. Meanwhile the things in the walls are hunting you.

A few things that happened while testing:

  • The Bacteria hunts by sound, and that includes your voice chat. The loudest friend always dies first.
  • The Faceless only moves when nobody is looking at it. Someone always looks away.
  • All the money goes into one shared pot, and there's a casino in the lobby. You can guess how that goes.

The free demo comes out on Oct 26 for Steam Scream Fest. It's one night, friends only, no matchmaking with strangers.

Happy to answer anything about how I built it!

My solo WW2 tank RTS, Spearhead. You command, then press H and you're aiming that tank yourself

• Upvotes

Hi, I'm a solo dev from Korea. My English is not good so I'm using a translator, sorry if anything reads a bit weird.

I've been making a WW2 tank RTS called Spearhead. You command your units like a normal RTS, but you can press H on any of your tanks and jump in, then aim and fire it yourself. Penetration is worked out from the armor thickness and the angle the shell hits, so a Panther that bounces everything from the front can go up in one shot once it shows you its side. That's the kind of moment I'm trying to make.

There's also a defense mode you can play alone and hold out as long as you can.

This is my first post here, so I'm mostly just curious what people think when they see it. Does jumping into the tank look fun, or would you mostly stay in the commander view?

My first mobile game as a solo beginner dev: dodge meteors, chain near-misses, survive as long as you can

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! This is Orbit Dodger, an endless space survival game I made in Unity. I started with zero coding experience.
How it works: you dodge incoming meteors, and every near-miss gives you bonus time and builds your combo. The best run in this clip reached x23.
GenAI disclosure: AI (Claude) was used only as a coding assistant for parts of the game's scripts. All art/visuals come from free Unity Asset Store assets, and the music was composed by a family member. No generative AI was used for art, music or audio.
I'd love honest feedback on the difficulty, the controls and the near-miss system. What would you add next?

Which of these cars would you be most excited to unlock in a mobile game?

Thumbnail

I'm developing a casual mobile puzzle game where players unlock and collect different cars as they progress.

I've designed 50 cars so far (using GenAI), and I'm trying to figure out the best unlock order!

I'd love some player opinions:

  • Which 3–5 cars would you be most excited to unlock?
  • Which ones feel the most rare or premium?
  • Are there any you'd be disappointed to unlock?

The goal is to make progression feel rewarding, with exciting cars throughout the game and some really special ones saved for later.

The second pic is where you'd see the car in the game (the hot dog car is the main swappable car).

Any feedback would be super helpful! :)

My solo game: rob the bank, then lure the police under your accomplice's bombs

• Upvotes

Hi! This is Clean Getaway, a 1930s heist game for iPhone and iPad that I made solo. I'm the dev behind Little Forests, Little Railways and Little Hives, which are calm puzzle games, so this one is a change of pace.

How it plays: drive into the ring of a bank, a jeweller or the port payroll, and the take grows the longer you stay. Leave the ring to keep it. The police chase you, and your accomplice's biplane marks where each bomb will land, so the trick is luring the police under the circles and not being there yourself. A bunch caught in one blast is worth far more than one at a time.

Every job is a new town, there's a daily job that's the same town for everyone, and one drawbridge lifts for boats while the police block the other bridges.

It's free, with no ads and no timers: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6822101256

A fun bit of trivia: to record the trailer I added a debug-only autopilot to the game that drives laps round each open place and steps out of the bomb circles, so all the footage is real play.

AI disclosure: AI was used to assist with writing the code and to generate the illustrations, which I then cut and placed by hand. The game's sounds are synthesized in code. The trailer's music was generated with AI.

I'd love to hear what you think, especially about the art style and whether the bomb-luring idea reads clearly from the trailer.

I made a game where you just peel bananas. That's it. That's the game.

• Upvotes

Hey! It's Peel The F*cking Banana – the most satisfying (and pointless) peeling game I could make. Grab the peel, pull it, peel it. It has Steam achievements (some of them intentionally ridiculous) and global leaderboards.

Wishlist on Steam if it made you smile: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5407520/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=trailer&utm_content=long

Happy to answer any questions about the game or how the trailer is generated!

I haven’t posted here in almost 2 years, my aRPG, Last Moon Demo 1.0 launches October 19! 🌙

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

It’s been almost two years since I last posted about Last Moon here, and the game has changed a lot since then.

I’ve been working full-time on it as a solo developer with an audio designer, and Demo 1.0 is finally coming on October 19. It’s been completely reworked with major improvements to gameplay, visuals, narration, optimization, new NPCs, runes and more.

Your Demo 1.0 save will also carry over to the full game when it releases.

Here’s the new trailer! Hope you enjoy it! ❤️

And thanks to everyone who’s been following the project all these years. 🌙

We’re building a 6v6 online game, and we’d love for you to be part of it! 🚀

We’re looking for alpha testers to jump in, report bugs, share ideas, and help shape the game. DM me if you’d like to play!

A small heads-up: our server currently supports just one room, so spaces are limited. If it’s full, bear with us—we’re working toward an upgrade!

I’m also looking for a short-term promotional partner to help us reach more players and fund more server capacity. If you’re a creator or brand interested in working together, let’s talk!

Thanks for supporting the project. See you in the game!

New capsule art for our game — what do you think compared to the old one?

Thumbnail

I made a new capsule illustration for Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements ahead of Steam Next Fest, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

This time, I wanted to set the scene in the sky, which is the homeland of the dragon in our game's story. I also wanted to put more emphasis on our two main characters — Elise, the witch, and Pipi, her little dragon companion — while giving the artwork a stronger sense of magic and adventure.

I'm hoping this version makes the characters and the fantasy atmosphere stand out more clearly, even at a glance.

What do you think of the new design compared to the previous capsule? Which one catches your eye more, and is there anything you'd change?

I'd really appreciate any feedback! 😊

I made Sudoku a two-player duel: you and a bot race for the big digits

Hi everyone, I’m a solo dev and I’ve been building a mobile game called Sudoku Duel.

The idea: you and an opponent share one Sudoku board and take turns placing a single digit. A correct digit scores its value, so 9s are worth fighting for. Completing a row, column or block gives a bonus, streaks build a combo, and a wrong guess costs you points. Highest score when the board is full wins.

The strategy part: you never want to leave a unit with one empty cell, because your opponent takes the completion bonus. So every move is also a decision about what you hand to them.

What’s in it

  • 100-level campaign in 10 worlds, with a boss at the end of each, and 3-star ratings
  • 4 bots (Solver, Greedy, Aggressive, Expert). They only play moves that can be proven by logic, never guesses
  • Pass-and-play or vs bot, with an optional 10/20/30s turn timer
  • Puzzles graded by the techniques they need, not just the clue count
  • Offline, no ads, no data collected

I made a free Backrooms horror game where your only warning is the hum going quiet

The Hum is a first-person horror game you play in your browser. You get lost in the Backrooms with a camcorder that’s still recording, and something walks the halls with you. It doesn’t see well. It listens. The fluorescent hum fades when it gets close, so you play mostly by sound.

It has 9 hand-built levels, each with its own twist: a basement with no power, a flooding cistern, a gallery where the portraits change when you look away, and a motel with two hunters. A voiced story is told through 18 cassette tapes, with letters hidden in quiet corners. The story takes about 45–60 minutes and has an ending, plus an endless mode for after.

AI disclosure: AI tools helped write the game’s code, the character voices were generated in ElevenLabs. The concept, story, characters, level design, tuning and playtesting are mine.

It’s free. Link : https://crispy-moon.itch.io/the-hum

I’d love to hear which level got you, or where you got lost.
