Bonfire Toffee
Anyone one know where to find British Bonfire Toffee? It usually is associated with Guy Fawkes day, November 5th.

What/where did you eat this past weekend? What are some spots you plan to check out this week? Any recommendations?

Hi,
We will drive to Toronto from Ohio this week, we will stay at Downtown Toronto. We used to dine at Markham a lot. Our budget is 50 per person. Wife love Sushi, can you recommend one Sushi place in Toronto (not necessarily downtown). I like try world food. In my hometown, we have decent Thai, Vietnam, Chinese food, when I travel, I'd love to try something else. Last time, I visited Himalayan Kitchen which is awesome.
Thank you!

Jules Bistro for dinner. Steak frites were cooked well and hit the spot. The bone marrow special was a bit disappointing, very little marrow. Nice ambience, wasn't overly loud, attentive and friendly service.
$60 before tips for half of bone marrow, steak frites, half of crepe dessert, and tea ($54 for my friend who had chicken). I did feel the food wasn't hot enough, not sure if it was just me. Would still go back for the steak frites, I thought it was good value at $33.

hi everyone! i gen don't know where else i can ask this so im hoping this was a good subreddit to pick!
i am a pretty picky eater n dislike broccoli but the broccoli in the rose tteokbokki at kibo market is just delicious! im sure the sauce adds to it but the broccoli itself is soooo yum! it has this unique, soft, almost savory "crust" or coating on it that makes it taste amazing instead of just watery and boring!!
i need to eat more greens and i've been trying to figure out what the stuff on the broccoli is and how they prepare it as well!!
any help or guidance would be much appreciated!! thank you!!!!

I absolutely love this dish at these two places, especially when it's incredibly spicy. Are there other places in Toronto that serve it?
Thanks in advance.

Looking to book a reso for 2 for my gf’s birthday coming up. She loves Italian, Mediterranean, Spanish or Japanese food best.
Some spots she really liked to get an idea of her vibe: lulu bar, alder, lunch lady, myth, lyla, black+blue, soluna, kasa moto
Please share any recommendations 🙏🏻

Hello. Looking for recommendations for African restaurants (not Ethiopian/Eritrean/Egyptian) specializing in Nigerian cuisine or central African cuisine. Looking for family run places and hidden gems. Thanks!

Me and the homies are going to be playing the new COD and we need gamer snacks. Since it is set in Korea, we have decided to pool our money to get Korean fried chicken, Nongshim crackers, those Korean pouch drinks with the ice cups, Korean bubble tea and some kimbap. The thing is, we have no idea where we can get all this stuff and I am wondering where we can locate the best of all 5 of our stuff. Recommendations apply for the whole GTA (we live scattered around), so feel free to drop a spot in Scarborough or another in Mississsauga, for example

Staying at a place that’s Bloor-Yorkville / Church-Wellesley Village
I love all sorts of cuisine and more of a person who is interested in more like $30-40/pp places instead of expensive $75-100+
I’ve heard NomNomNom for poutine and Tangssat for the city’s best croissants.
Where would you go for lunch and dinner?

Went to lelert with my bf and we ordered the khaosoi and one of their curries. The flavors were absolutely delectable - pungent and very aromatic . Anyone else likes lelert as well? Any other thai recs that’s not pai or chiang mai? (I thought those were a bit mid)

It was one of the best restaurants for biryani. It is sad to know they have permanently closed it. I hope it’s not true and they reopen again perhaps at any other location. As i heard there were some landlord issues at that plaza.
Located at Warden and Lawrence

Heres the ones I have had
-Badiali: Vodka Pie
-Macs: Tie Dye
-Nice Slice: Zaatar, Vodka Cheese, and Mushroom & Goat Cheese
-Beast Pizza: Patty Pie, Tongue & Bacon, and Lord Pesto

All of those I have found delicious. I'm good with returning to some of these places and also trying new ones.

Hi Toronto, what's the best chocolate dessert you've had and crave from time to time? I'm craving a rich indulgent dessert and want to see what others love to eat. Bonus points if it's somewhere close to Etobicoke Lakeshore.

I will be celebrating my bday alone this year and i want to get myself a cute small cake. Does anyone have suggestions in downtown for that?
I have vava near my home but i have never tried chiffon cake, so if anyone has any idea. I like mild fruity flavours with chocolatey notes, not very sweet

Hello. Any good recommendations on St Clair West between Bathurst and Dufferin? Preferably not Italian. I already tried Pura Vida, Albert’s, Queen of Persia. Any hidden gems? Thanks!

Taking my gf to Lucie for date night and hoping to find a place nearby with live music and lounging options for after dinner drinks.
Have looked at the lobby lounge at Shangri-La but wondering if anyone has additional recommendations that provide a romantic/intimate setting!
Thanks all!

Decided to try the Ramen Flight since I was downtown late last night.
Dishes:
1. Mazemen Tabetai: 7/10 (front)
2. Spicy Saito? 6.5/10 (left)
3. Non spicy Saito 6/10 (right)
Quality: Overall kind of disappointed with the dishes. Found them to be extremely salty with the non spicy Saito lacking flavour. It reminded me of a very light low salt pork broth without any complex flavours.
Favorite dish was the mazemen! I personally think it would have done better if you got the full size dish as the extra noodles would help offset the saltiness. They do provide a side of vinegar to help cut through! And the green onions help a lot.
Would probably try a full size portion before deciding whether I pass on this restaurant.

Used to frequent an amazing spot on far-east Lakeshore called Golden Pheasant, but see it closed down- shocking as it was always busy with lots of takeout and genuinely the very best such food I'd had anywhere maybe in the entire country. Dude knew his craft wholly. Those schnitzels were absolutely gargantuan, but besides that, tasted absolutely divine and texturally were perfect, all while being great value- truly rare combination.
So with that place unfortunately no longer around, I'm wondering, where are the dino-sized schnitzels for us big-backs with bottomless pits for guts?
I'm not asking for best schnitzels (tho if it happens to be that as well, by all means...), but schnitzel monsters. The bigger-than-your-mamas-head schnitzels you can either a) split between 2-3 adults, b) enjoy over the next 24-48 hours, c) gluttonize to the max, put it all down, play Russian roulette with yer arteries, hope for the best (the devil will be playing tricks on you, as you'll feel as if in heaven while scarfing it down).
Hit me.
