Not much has changed for us this time around. Some things got cheaper, warlock skyrunners got more expensive. I don't think it's enough to make much of a difference, but we'll see how it plays out with the changes to all the other factions.

Went for a magic/white hot energy sort of thing, like it’s awakening a dormant Aeldari temple beneath his feet. My wraiths are dark teal and purple, so I wanted to be somewhat cohesive. I’ll probably clean up the halberd blade so the runes are more visible, and I might take off the second chest strap because I can’t find the chest armor piece anywhere. The bleeding hand is Vallejo demon blood (purple) for fun.
I’ve only recently really gotten into eldar in terms of collecting, but I’ve always thought they’ve looked amazingly cool. So many bright vibrant colours it just tickles my brain. Lowkey making me regret not having started them 18 years ago when I was 8

Hello everyone!
So I just bought a box of Fire Dragons and Jain Zar for painting just for fun. I specially love all the vehicles and aspect warriors and phoenix lords so, what would be recommended in order to keep buying towards my first 1k points and be able to play in a future? Thanks!
Looking for feedback from Autarchs who run the 10 brick of hawks and found positive results. How has it impacted your game plan, and how do you use the brick? Who do they target/what do they do for you.
I'm running Aspect host and currently run two 5s. Considering dropping my 5 dark reapers to make one of those a 10 brick of hawks.
Really looking for specific tactics and game plans for the brick. I do like the reapers for a little extra anti-heavy that can reach everywhere, at the same time I do see the need to have a brick to put on a point when it matters that can do damage and still do an action if needed.
I plan on playing recon for context and this will take me from 16 drops to 15 drops. I have fuegan in a falcon and 2 shining spears to flex into hard targets for context on dropping the reapers.
Any input or discussion is welcome!
Edit: Clarified comment in second paragraph
Edit 2: Part of the question is this brick seems like an auto include now, without Barry. Just want to understand why that is. I have assumptions on how it's used, but want to leverage real game experiences to understand this game a little better.

They will probably get a Hunter profile, but i am wondering what these profiles would look like?

I've not long started using Eldritch Raiders its fun, I used to play Seer council and wanted a bit more fun in the game (and less to remember) and the Corsairs look awesome, but I'm yet to win with them.
I've tried Wraithblades and a spiritseer and one Wraith lord (didn't end well, there just not tough enough even with the shields), and I tried without Eldrad but I was severely lacking in CP through the game.
I normally use the redeploy as a bit of confusion, run the Wraithknight and Avatar up to cause mayhem, the Wraithlords go after any armor or get on an objective and use everything else to do the missions with Karseth holding the back field.
May Isha smile upon you all 😀

Hi, I have some points to spare, is a death jester a good option ? I’m looking for a lone operative or something like that
r/Eldar • u/ZeCalvinator • 7h ago
I have a wind rider host list and I’m torn between 2 choices
Choice Number 1:
3 Fireprisms
2 Warwalkers
Enhancement for farseer bike to give vehicle +1 to hit
Choice Number 2:
2 Fireprisms
2 units of Shroud Runners to strip cover
2 Warwalkers
No enhancement
Currently I’m leaning towards number 2, but having 3 fire prisms seems sick

Finally got these done for a game last weekend but forgot to post them, added the lighting from warp spiders to add some eldritch storm vibes

I'm willing to spend a little more money if there are some units I absolutely must have, but would rather use what I've already got.
Is recon a good disposition for us?

I have this idea of organising my Priority Assets force into 3 sections and 3-5 waves / layers and I’m interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.
Section A is focused on contesting the centre. While Section B focuses on our Expansion objective. For priority assets, we are usually good if we can do that while performing an action or two and scoring decent secondaries. Section C holds the home field and screens out deep-strike threats.
Wave 1 is the ‘Vanguard’ that pushes forward turn 1 to tap an objective, perform an action, and screen the following waves or deny opponent positioning. They are entirely expendable and not expected to survive past turn 1.
Wave 2 are cost-effective ‘Battleline’ units that are largely expendable again, but move forward to contest objectives from turn 2 onwards. Guardians with a lot of bodies and OC 2 are better supported and can contest an objective even if they don’t wipe their opponents off it.
Wave 3 are the ‘Counterpunch’ units: powerful damage-dealers that we need to make sure they time their move carefully to ensure they do their job. They rely on Wave 1 and 2 to keep them safe in turns 1 & 2, then slap back hard – ideally in turn 3, or turn 2 if things are going well, and hopefully not because we gave been overrun!
Wave 4 are ‘Fire Support’ units that can provide fire from behind waves 1-3, helping them to finish off their targets. Ideally wave 4 survive most of the game.
Wave 5 are a handful of action-oriented units. Low-cost units that can move quickly and get where they need to in order to score points.
The image on this post is me making sense of my Aspect Host list, so that I deploy and play this list according to the plan. In previous matches I have been drawn into sending out my Wave 3 units too soon, or ineffectively screening Wave 3 and 4 units with my frontline units.
This seems to make sense to me, and it builds on number of ideas I’ve seen others discuss, so hopefully it helps me to improve the dismal win-rate I have in the weekly semi-competitive league at my LGS!

I've played Warhammer for 15 years, I own 10k of Aeldari, space marines, and have painted a few other 500 point armies and I've always found it fun to a degree. I'm a casual player and only play the game every 1 - 2 months now. I used to play it more but friends moved around and had kids and we struggle to get a game in like we used to. I still paint and read the lore though, and follow rules updates.
I've had 6 games of this edition and from a casual, play it with your friends over beers point of view it isn't very fun or satisfying. Mixing detachments is fun, but you're very limited in what you can actually mix. The terrain rules are an improvement, but the rules themselves feel patched together to make the game work and none of them feel very intentional, especially for Aeldari, Drukhari and Blood Angels. Sacrificing most of my army to win points without killing much isn't fun. Spamming units to score secondaries isn't fun.
Even lore wise I don't really know what actually matters. The Lion appeared and then nothing happened. Exodites are in, but there zero lore tie in to explain why I should care. They're cool, they look cool, I've read about them and seen sketches of them already and I want them to exist. None of it seems to matter though. Everything in the lore feels frozen even though big characters keep on appearing. The rules seem frozen with no new codexes coming out for at least 4 months in an edition where the majority of models (space marines) got an update.
This edition feels shallow. The rules feel rushed, the lore is half baked. It feels like they made an edition to fit their release schedule instead of doing it to fix actual issues. The rules weren't perfect last edition but they were fun. Maybe I'm just getting old but as a casual player it's hard to get excited about the game at the moment.

I was really hoping this year would break the streak.
