Hello,
Looking for the bonsai lady. Anyone spotted her today?

I know not many will care, but I'm not really feeling these generative AI slop-looking stickers. I just appreciate the simple ones I've picked up for decades after voting. Ah well, a return to norm in two years.
What say you?
Also, Go Vote yourself. Share if you got a different sticker from the norm, if you had to vote outside of the county!

Wasn’t super busy and took less than 15 minutes. If you are registered to vote please go. Your vote does matter despite what you may think so if you’re contemplating on whether to vote or not take the time and do it. Please. It really does matter. ✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

‘Twas a spooktacular performance. 👏🏽
Hey y'all, I moved here a few months ago for my grad program and I'm having a hard time making friends/finding a community space. Most of the people in my cohort commute so it's hard to build connections, and I've been putting myself out there, but am struggling to find people to connect with, especially people in their late 20s/30s! Part of this is probably social anxiety, but I'm putting more feelers out anyway, lol. I have friends and family in DFW, just not really in Denton.
(Yes, I know this is a very common post and here I am anyway)
More about me:
- 28F, working on my masters in social work, work from home. Would love to find a WFH or study buddy if anyone needs some body doubling :)
- I love art, live music, food, being outdoors (kayaking/hiking etc), herbalism, writing, cozy video games, traveling when I can, meditation, yoga, reading, crochet (and anything crafty, tbh), climbing (even though I am not great at it)
- Spiritual agnostic-ish but interested in Buddhism/mysticism, left-leaning, bi, enjoy people who are grounded, kind, and thoughtful. Drier sense of humor, not the kind of person to text all day every day.
- I've checked out UU Denton, meditation classes, and a few churches, none have felt like my cup of tea. Meetup doesn't really seem to have anything. Dating apps....not cutting it.
- have considered getting into some volunteer work (community garden, perhaps?) but unsure where to start. I've also considered doing social dancing like salsa but I am intimidated!
- I've been to Movement a few times and am considering a membership there, but I'm pretty abysmal at climbing lol (would still be down to connect with other climbers)
Consistency is the biggest thing I'm looking for, honestly - I really would like some external structure since my school stuff is very self-paced and I WFH most days!
Anywho if you think we'd connect or have ideas on groups, etc, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks :)

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations for a PCP in Denton area.
Specifically I would like to have a femme doctor/NP but it's not a complete deal breaker. I'm looking for someone that actually practices PREVENTATIVE medicine not someone that's just reactionary.
Any help is appreciated!

I'm a 20 year old male that just moved to the city less than 2 weeks ago. I'm in love with how many green spaces there are here and was wondering if anyone else was looking for a jogging/gym buddy? I'm also just trying to meet new people here as well. Hmu!
