Disassembled, cleaned and oiled, the slide feels very smooth. I think the eps core also fits well on it, I thought it might be too small. The auto-brightness feature on eps core works surprisingly well, not a gimmick feature anymore.

So I wanted to conduct some occluded optic training so I made a soft leather cover for the optic and for whatever reason it annoyed a lot of the old grumps here.

A cool ass dude r/FitBananers! was super kind enough to offer an already prefabricated shroud he had laying around. Very appreciative of him for hooking it up!

For the rest of you guys who swear by tape and post it’s or whatever you use, I’m all for it.

Occluded dryfire training in kinda wet environment. Wet hands definitely affected my grip. 👍

I'm in the process getting my firearms back after my rights have been restored in court 3 mos ago. Livescan is done and shows completed on DOJ website. Just waiting for the letter.

For the LER, the instruction states to log in every single firearm.

My question is, the PD took a host of other items like reloading presses, tools, bullets, projectiles, rifle stocks, etc. All these items are in the report I was given by the sheriff's dept. when my property was taken.

Do I have to enter all these "non firearm" items in that LER letter?

Also, it appears on the CFARS website, it only allows one LER request per item, does that mean I have to enter one LER request for each firearm? I don't see a option for adding several firearms in 1 page.

It's been a long road to get this far. But I'm noticing the process is brutally long.

Looks like there is a metal tab stopping it from moving much. It looks like the locking pin slid out of the groves and now it’s stuck in place. I’m very new to guns this is my first firearm so I might just be missing something. Any information helps thanks!

Out of Jail and all cleaned up. My first Kimber, actually, and excited to get her out there and see what’s she’s got.

Anybody know of any lower tension recoil springs for the RM1C? I feel like the spring has such high tension and racking the slide takes much more force than it should (comparing to my Sig 229 - I know it’s apples to oranges but still…). It hasn’t gotten lighter at all after about 1000 rounds.

-Created account on CFARS (California Firearms Application Reporting System), everything with CA is done online
10-13:
-Received FFL03 in mail
-Emailed my FFL number to CFARS
10-19:
-CFARS emails me saying passport needs to be signed
-I email them back my signed passport
10-20:
-Received COE electronically

The FFL03 is $30. I sent in a credit card number on the app but it still hasn't been charged. Weird.

So what are the best online ammo stores that will ship here? And do they charge CA sales tax? With no sin tax, sales tax, dealer markup/fees I'm thinking I'll save around 30%. I've been paying $320 for 9mm and $540 for .223 out the door. I'm probably just going to shoot more rounds with my savings.
