Everything from downtown boutiques to budget hotels are 2-5x the cost of the weekend after. They’ve been that way for a while—my visiting family had to choose between Waldorf and BWI weeks ago and I’m just looking now.

Boat shows are over. Biggest thing I can see on event sites is a local artist music festival in Murray Hill. Navy is playing North Texas… I don’t follow college football, but I haven’t really heard of them. Are they the kind of powerhouse that fills all the hotels?

Maybe Renn Faire closing weekend? But we’ve had sold out weekends already… That’s my best guess though.

Edit: okay, I’m going with Navy Homecoming bringing in 5 classes of alums. Weird that I didn’t see that on anything I read about the game, but I guess that’s it.

Has anyone used this service? It’s new and I’m wondering if it’s reliable? Does it fill up? If so, do they get additional buses?
