New PC: Ryzen 9 9900X, Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT, ASUS TUF B850-PLUS WiFi, Corsair RM850e, Windows 11.

Roblox freezes on the menu when set to use the RX 9070 XT; Minecraft has also crashed in its menu. Roblox has worked on Power Saving (integrated graphics). During earlier freezes, Task Manager and other Windows apps also stopped responding.

So far: ran DDU twice and installed AMD Adrenalin 26.8.1 Recommended; installed AMD chipset drivers 8.08.12.551; cleared CMOS and reseated the GPU. Windows detects the RX 9070 XT in Device Manager without a warning. The latest DDU reinstall has just been completed; I haven’t confirmed whether the freeze still happens after that reinstall.

The GPU latch appears locked and the gold contacts are hidden, but I’m unsure about a small visible gap. There’s also a flashing green light behind the card. The GPU fans are stopped at idle.

Description of Original Problem: I recently had to return my RX6600 on warranty and got a RX7600 as a replacement, but can't get it to work in my machine.

Whenever the GPU is plugged in and the system is set to UEFI, it never gets to POST or even lets me enter the BIOS. With the GPU plugged in and the system set to CSM, it boots fine using integrated graphics and the GPU is detected, but marked as faulty in the device manager.

Troubleshooting:

What I've tried to far (in no particular order):

• Tested the GPU in another (much older) machine, where it worked OOTB.
• Tested the old system's Nvidia GPU on my machine, which worked OOTB.
• Cleared CMOS with the RX7600 installed
• Tried different HDMI and DP ports on the GPU
• Updated the BIOS to two different versions, first the most recent and then a slightly older one
• Run the AMD Remover Tool x2 and reinstalled drivers, I am getting the PA-300 error every time and have attempted this fix (manually) without result
• Run DDU in safe mode as adviced and reinstalled drivers, same result as above
• Changed the 4G-setting in BIOS
• Changed safe boot settings in BIOS
• Changed PCIe settings between auto and 3rd/4th

I'm trying to play witcher 3 remastered, but the game launcher says that my drivers are outdated. And when i try to play anyway, there are visual glitches. Adrenaline Software says that my drivers are up to date and version number is 26.8.1. Is there a newer version? (9070xt)

Description of Original Problem:

After we upgraded from a Aorus B450 Pro (bricked during bios Q-flash - different story) RTX 2070 and a 3600x, we get terrible stutters in Aion 2. Performance is worse than before, but Timespy score is as expected (~21.000).

Troubleshooting:

Reinstalled Aion 2 on the SSD (previously was on HDD). Removed all drivers with DDU and reinstalled. Updated chipset and LAN drivers through the ASUS site.

Tried the Memory with and without XMP. Changed different ingame Settings. Temps on GPU/CPU are fine in HWinfo.

We did not touch the old windows as of yet.

Description of Original Problem:

Hey guys,

Running into a really weird issue and kinda running out of ideas.

What happened:

I was playing Gothic Remake when my FPS suddenly plummeted down to literally 3 FPS. I restarted the game, but now it's stuck at around 35-40 FPS in areas where I used to get 100+ FPS.

It's not just Gothic either — all my games took a huge hit:

CS2: Barely hovering around ~120 FPS now

Crimson Desert: ~40 FPS

The weird part:

Synthetic benchmarks (FurMark) are still giving me normal expected scores. It’s ONLY actual games that are running like garbage. Temperatures look totally fine, so it doesn't seem like thermal throttling.

What I’ve already done:

Used DDU in Safe Mode and reinstalled fresh GPU drivers

Did a completely clean reinstall of Windows 11

Still no luck. Could this be some weird PCIe lane stuck in x1/x4 mode, a power state bug, or something with Adrenalin settings?

Any ideas on what else I should check or test? Appreciate any help!

EDIT: If anyone needs screenshot logs or sensor readings from HWiNFO, GPU-Z, or CapFrameX while running a game, let me know and I'll upload them!

I have 3 different computer and I've owned multiple AMD cards at this point and no matter what the AMD auto undervolt/prefer performance keeps resetting to custom. I've gone back and forth with claude to fix it and tried a few of the simple fixes but why is this even a thing at this point. I don't do anything crazy, my only setting I have right now that might affect it is I have it so it turns off the monitor automatically instead of sleep after 10 minutes. I get it maybe happening on one computer but this happens on all of them. My Nvidia computer doesn't do it at all. Heck my computer sometimes freezes with the monitor off and I have to straight up reboot.

Rant over, reddit, tell me I'm wrong I'm doing something dumb and it's actually just a simple fix. I won't take just leave the computer running constantly with the screen on as an answer.

Also I should not have to touch registry edit, turn off fast boot or turn off free sync in order to fix it.

Need help resolving this issue it keeps happening every time I try to use my laptop camera and sometimes when I'm playing a video or web browsing. I used AMD cleanup utility to remove the drivers and the camera functioned normally but upon reinstalling them using AMD adrenalin software which auto detects the drivers the issue has returned. Can someone help me with a solution to this.

Idk what's causing this but is it helpful if I just use ddu first then boot normally then update to the optional drivers? I usually dont boot to safemode when upgrading drivers just a simple click to the Exe and update. After that it goes downhill I restart then boom after a few minutes it just hangs, oh and I dont update my w11 I use windows update blocker idk if this is a factor as well? Tia!!

Most stable driver I use is 26.7.1 upgrading to 9.1 to 9.2 causes freezes and hangs

So I bought a 9850x3d, and it came with Onimusha. I've been wanting to play it so this was a win-win for me. Went to go redeem and the stupid Product Verification Tool just keeps telling me to re-download the PVT. I did everything, I turned off virus protection, turned off firewalls, disabled overclocking, reset my system time, Reseated the cpu, nothing.

Finally, I rebooted in safe mode with Networking. It finally worked. Took me over an hour to try safe mode.

So, if you recently made a purchase of a CPU or GPU and can't redeem the gift, reboot in safe mode with networking and try following the instructions then.

Estou precisando de ajuda. Estou com um PC kit Xeon, config: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v4 @ 2.20GHz, 2.20 GHz, RAM 16,0 GB, placa de vídeo RX 580. Meu problema foi o seguinte: eu nunca tinha usado segundo monitor nesse PC, sempre usei 1 e nunca tinha visto problema nele. Aí agora comprei um porque estou precisando para trabalho. A placa já usa HDMI no monitor principal, aí comprei um adaptador de HDMI do monitor novo para o DisplayPort da placa. Ele funciona tudo direitinho, só que a segunda tela fica dando flicker. Já tentei quase tudo, pelo menos acho, e não consigo resolver. Já mudei os HZ para 60 nos dois monitores e ajudou; agora só esse flicker que não para. Ele acontece do nada ou quando o mundo de aba no monitor principal e os cabos que comprei agora são novos. Quem puder me ajudar, vou agradecer demais. Obrigado.

Windows 11 updates are making my computer unusable; they conflict with my graphics card driver and make it difficult to boot, eventually preventing it from booting at all. Windows gets stuck in an endless loop on the boot wheel and won't start. I stopped Windows Update and it worked fine then. How can I fix this problem? Will I never be able to use AMD again?

So this is first time using an AMD card, i'm using a 9070 XT, I turn on the noise suppression and set my mic to the option, but when I change the setting in discord to the "AMD Noise Suppression" option it doesn't pick up my mic or voice. I have no idea what I could do to help it pick up my mic.

What pads should i use? i cant find anything on internet about that. Also there's this little thing close to the video ports, like a PWM or voltage controller, i think there also should be a pad. On original pads the gpu and hotspot temperature were nearly the same, like 70 degress celcius, after changing pads to 1.5mm on VRM and this little controller and 1mm on VRAM the hotspot went to like 85 degrees

SO, does a 50-60€ lower price justify buying on aliexpress ?? how do i even know if the seller is legit ?

im trying to get a 9800x3d, currently 370€ on aliexpress and 430€ on amazon.

Should i take the leap ?

Ahoj, prosím o pomoc s diagnostikou PC. Záseky se objevují ve všech hrách, nejvíce v ARC Raiders, ale také v Diablu IV a WoW. Je jedno, jestli hra běží na maximální, nebo minimální detaily – záseky jsou stále stejné. Občas se to děje i při přehrávání YouTube.

Během záseku prudce klesá spotřeba GPU (např. z 220 W na 50 W). Ve Windows se objevuje LiveKernelEvent 193 a událost 815. Vypnutí hardwarově akcelerovaného plánování GPU pomohlo jen v některých případech.

Pomoc s diagnostikou záseků ve všech hrách – RX 9070, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, LiveKernelEvent 193

Ahoj všem,

potřeboval bych pomoct s diagnostikou počítače, protože se mi nedaří zjistit příčinu opakovaných záseků.

DŮLEŽITÉ: Problém se projevuje prakticky v každé hře, kterou spustím, a nezáleží na nastavených grafických detailech. I když hra běží na maximální detaily, nebo naopak nastavím nejnižší možné detaily, záseky jsou stále přibližně stejné.

Nejvíce si toho všímám například v ARC Raiders, ale děje se to také v Diablu IV a World of Warcraft. Občas se podobné zasekávání projeví dokonce i při přehrávání videí na YouTube.

Proto si nemyslím, že jde pouze o příliš vysoké grafické nastavení nebo o nedostatečný výkon počítače. Chtěl bych zjistit skutečnou příčinu.

Jak se problém projevuje

Při hraní dochází k náhodným krátkým zásekům a propadům plynulosti, přibližně na jednu sekundu.

Problém se objevuje napříč různými hrami. Nejvýrazněji jsem si ho všiml v ARC Raiders, ale také v Diablu IV a World of Warcraft.

Snížení grafických detailů ze svého maxima na minimum problém nevyřeší. Záseky jsou stále velmi podobné.

Někdy se podobný problém objeví i při přehrávání videí na YouTube.

Zpočátku se během záseků zasekával také zvuk, nyní pozoruji především obrazové záseky a lagy.

Všiml jsem si také prudkého poklesu spotřeby grafické karty během záseku, například přibližně z 220 W na 50 W, po kterém spotřeba opět stoupne.

Co jsem zatím zjistil a vyzkoušel

- V Prohlížeči událostí Windows se objevuje LiveKernelEvent s kódem 193 a údaj 815.

- Zaznamenal jsem také DistributedCOM, ID 10010, ale nevím, zda to souvisí s problémem.

- Vypnutí hardwarově akcelerovaného plánování GPU pomohlo v jedné hře, ale v ostatních problém přetrvával.

- Nastavení v AMD Adrenalin mám standardní, bez záměrného přetaktování.

- Aktuálně používám ovladač AMD Adrenalin 26.8.1.

- Nevím, zda mám v BIOSu zapnuté EXPO.

- Přesný model a výkon napájecího zdroje zatím nemám ověřený.

Co bych potřeboval poradit

1. Setkal se někdo s podobnými problémy u Radeon RX 9070 nebo ovladače AMD Adrenalin 26.8.1?

2. Co může způsobovat stejné záseky při maximálních i minimálních grafických detailech?

3. Může jít o problém s ovladačem, grafikou, napájecím zdrojem, RAM nebo jinou komponentou?

4. Jaké konkrétní testy doporučujete pro nalezení skutečné příčiny?

5. Má smysl vyzkoušet jinou verzi ovladače a provést čistou instalaci?

6. Může mít vliv jeden modul RAM o kapacitě 16 GB na frekvenci 6000 MT/s?

Nechci bezhlavě měnit nastavení ani kupovat nové komponenty, dokud nebudu mít lepší představu o příčině.

Budu vděčný za konkrétní rady, jak postupovat krok za krokem.

I have been having this problem for a long time I reinstalled drivers and it still does the same.I also get random black screen when idling

I’ve had my 9070xt for about 2 months now. I bought it after my 4060 killed itself during a driver update, I went with a fresh install of windows and installed the gpu along with drivers and software. I’ve been underwhelmed so far, I run into constant glitches, crashes, and I can’t run my computer in safe mode any longer(I believe unrelated as I know I can switch with deep dive into bios settings). So my question is, is this the AMD trope, am I poorly utilizing the software settings? Happy to be pointed in any direction that could lead to a positive experience.

I play SoT, The finals, Rocket League, and various FPS/car games, I run 1440p and 4k depending on the games age.
