Recommendations? I can no longer find bras that fit after pregnancy. Any custom-made bra recommendations? Spoiler

Ever since having children, my breasts have gotten significantly larger, and finding bras that actually fit has become incredibly difficult.
Here are my six measurements from the ABraThatFits calculator:
Loose Underbust: 80 cm
Snug Underbust: 77 cm
Tight Underbust: 75 cm
Standing Bust: 122 cm
Leaning Bust: 144 cm
Lying Bust: 139 cm
My breasts also sag quite severely.
My current bust measurement while wearing a bra is 132 cm (52 inches), and my underbust is 77 cm (30.3 inches).
I actually found a brand that was able to make custom-fitted bras for me in the past, but unfortunately, they’ve since gone out of business.
Now I’m back to struggling to find anything that fits properly. 🥲
I’ve also considered breast reduction surgery, but I currently don’t qualify for coverage under Taiwan’s National Health Insurance, and I can’t afford to pay for the surgery out of pocket.
For now, I’m just hoping to find comfortable, supportive bras that actually fit my body.
Does anyone know of any brands that specialize in extremely large cup sizes or offer custom-made bras?
I’m based in Taiwan, but I’m willing to order internationally.
Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Measurement Check [Measurement Check] Currently wearing 34HH/J (UK), New Size on Calculator 40GG/H (38 H/HH sister size) (UK); my bands are tight, and so are the cups. Spoiler

EDIT for additional info: I have stomach ulcers and it can make a pant size difference in my high waisted work pants, and that may be why the band is so weird. On non-bloat days, the new 34s are tight in the band, and too small in the cup. On bloat days…I try to avoid bras if at all possible or wear some sad floppy “bralette” nightmare (or ole busted haha). I bought some 34s a year ago right before I started having bad gastric problems, and those are the ones that I’m referencing.

Hi, first time poster! Had you recommended by a friend. :)

Measurements (Inches):

Loose underbust: 43

Snug underbust: 40

Tight underbust: 38

Standing bust: 51

Leaning bust: 52

Lying bust: 50

Notes: I know I've gained some weight, and my bands and cups are cutting in. However, I am certain that I am not a 40 band, as I've tried one on recently and it was way too loose. Historically, when I've been measured before, I am usually told I am a much bigger band at first and then they're like "Oh, you're not a 36, you're a 32 haha" (a thinner time lol) so tysm for your help. <3

Breast Shape: dense, full on top apparently (thanks, breast shape guides!), broad root, saggy.

Please help, I am sad and dysphoric and need your wisdom.

From sports bras to regular bras… HELP! Spoiler

Hi everyone! Just a little about me - 34, female, allegedly sized 40J US.

My whole life I’ve only worn pull on sports bras, mainly due to comfort. Obviously sports bras can’t be used for every occasion, and more and more I’ve been running into those occasions where they just don’t seem to work or look flattering. I’m a little self conscious in how I look. I hate the uni-boob look sports bras usually give me under t-shirts, but I love the “together” push-up type effect they can have. I know I can’t have the best of both worlds.

I’ve tried a few “normal style” underwire bras, but have not found one that is comfortable enough for me to wear out of the house. Please give me all of your recommendations for brand, style, etc….

I appreciate the help!

Question Size mismatches - 10D versus 14A. Online calculators. Spoiler

Someone tell me.. how do company websites (Nala or BNT, Aussie brands) have calculators that measure me as a 14A, and then the calculator in this group measure me as a 10D?! For reference I’ve been wearing a 10D but lost some weight and I was starting to feel as though I needed to size down but this seems like a huge discrepancy!

I’ve always bought bras that wouldn’t actually give the right support and be comfortable at the same time i just ended up buying so many bras in different sizes and none of them felt like the right size. so i’m here to ask for your help, here are my measurements :

Loose underbust : 86cm
Snug underbust : 84cm
Tight underbust : 78cm
Standing bust : 104cm
Leaning bust 111cm
Lying bust : 108cm.

Could someone please help me figure out my size with these measurements and recommend a bra that might work best for me? I’d really appreciate any advice!

Recommendations? Need recommendations now that I’ve tried 8 suggestions and none have worked Spoiler

Back with an update from the last 2 I was told to try -

Freya Spotlight - 32F - band seemed okay, cups too big up top, lots of bunched fabric

Panache Serene Side Support - 32F - band seemed okay, cups too big up top, lots of bunched fabric

Hi! I used the calculator and got 32DD. Ordered 6 different bras and had issues with all of them..listing here! Looking for help on what to do next.

Natori Cloud Comfort Full Fit Smoothing TShirt Bra in 32DD - band was suffocatingly tight and space at top of cup.

Freya Offbeat Side Support in a 32DD - band was way too tight even backwards. The cup was also too small.

Panache Envy 32E - still a little tight on the band but not quite as bad. The tops of the cups were also loose making the shape of my breasts really strange looking.

Panache Envy 32DD - seemed better in the cups but the band was very snug and also had irritation/tightness/spillage in my armpit area.

Skarlett Blue Entice Balconette - band was not as snug feeling although I had some back fat but the cups were too small and spilling out of the top

Panache Ana - 34E band was good but cups too big

Here are my measurements-
Loose Underbust: |31.5
Snug Underbust: |31
Tight Underbust: |29
Standing Bust: |35
Leaning Bust: |39
Lying Bust: |37

Soft tissue, fuller on bottom. 4 fingers in between when leaning over at 90 degrees.

Shape Help [Shape Help] Asking For Shape Of Breast Forms Spoiler

• Upvotes

Hello all,

I am a trans woman and I wear breast forms for gender joy reasons. I've had a hell of a time figuring out how bra sizes work and how to measure breast forms, so I resorted to trying on various sizes just in case. I previously didn't really understand what breast shapes were or why they were important as I just assumed the bra size was all that was needed. I finally happened across a bra that fits absolutely perfect and I realized my previous understanding of "it fits" was way off even for the same size bra. I assume this comes down to the shape so I'm trying to figure that out and what to look for in bras when it comes to matching a shape. The mods informed me providing the link to the page where I got the forms, here, was ok. Unless my understanding of these terms is wrong (which might be the case) I think they are projected, full on bottom, tall root. Is this correct and if so what do I need to look for in bras in addition to the size to make the shape work?

Thanks.

Question How to know if amount of back and side squish is normal for a proper fitting bra? Spoiler

I measured myself and got 30C but it said a 32B may provide a more comfortable fit so I ordered 2 sets of cheap bras on amazon for testing purposes. The 30C ones fit great on my actual breasts. I feel secure and them puppies are not moving. The band is tighter than I’ve ever worn tho and it’s compressing my back and sides and giving me rolls. Now, I can stand some rolls. They happen from just moving around and being alive but just standing here at rest looking like a popped biscuit tin really isn’t what I’m going for even if my tits are locked in place and at attention.

The 32B ones do not compress as much but they also don’t fit the greatest (slight gapping on the cups up top and on the upper inner sides) but they are also push ups so that could be the problem. I feel like my boobs are not big fans of pushups. The skin is too loose to make it look good, probably would be better suited for a balconette style. Or it’s just the mold of the bra, it doesn’t even fit the model in the picture right now that I’ve looked back at it. (reason why they were cheap af probs)

Should I try on a higher size band in the C’s like a 32? For ref tho a 34B is definitely not my size (significant gapping) but that was what I was previously wearing until I gained weight then I just started wearing mostly large sports bras/a 36C which fit well enough but I’ve since lost weight (still some to go tho) and it disappeared from my chest first so now the loose skin is doing what it do.

I’m gonna measure myself again just to be sure before I go out hunting again but I just wanted opinions from others and insight into what realistically I should have expectation wise for a properly fitting bra bc ya girl may have gone too far with the snug and tight aspects of the underbust.

Current measurement:

LUB: 31
SUB: 30.2
TUB: 29.8

Leaning: 33.6
Lying: 32.5

Shape Help Need Help finding Specific Bra Shape (Somewhat Similar to Freya Offbeat) Spoiler

I’ve been on a very long (3+ year) search for a bra that is wearable for a full day. I’m finally narrowing down some of the fit aspects that have made it difficult, and would very much appreciate any help or tips. Calculator gives me 32G typically, measurement fluctuations range from 32FF to 32G/GG to 34F/FF for comfort. I am close set, center full, either tall roots or just lower set, but shallow on top, and apparently an odd root shape. There’s a part about halfway up the outside of my larger side that must be a tad wider than above and below that area; cups that are too wide at the outside top still end up sitting just inside the root/on tissue in this particular spot. (Not sure I’m describing this well, I’m sorry!)

I’ve tried a range of sizes and bra shapes/styles, with fit help from Bravissimo, Breakout Bras, and Levana (very unhelpful at that one, putting me in an Ewa bra that did damage to the root). What I’ve found to be the closest fit is a Freya offbeat in 34FF, but a very uncomfortable aspect is how short the wires are. Again, not sure if it’s tall roots or low set, but that means the very short side wires on this bra leaves the top part of my root/tissue unsupported and tends to poke. Yes, it is sitting just outside my root, so it’s not too narrow. I have tried a 34G and while the wires are better for height, they’re too wide (not a dealbreaker if it worked otherwise) and because I’m not quite full enough to fill out the cups (seems to run a bit large in the cup?), the gore digs in at the top.

I seem to be between sizes for 32G/32GG, getting some overspill in many 32G (Freya Quinn for example, I think because of the way it’s cut) but Elomi Matilda in 32G has enough cup room, that outer mid part of my root is just a smidge too wide for comfort though.

Any ideas for bras/styles/sizes to try that would have a similar shape to the Freya offbeat wire, but with taller side wires? As a note, the gore is tall but folds on itself so works okay, but when I tried panache Clara and Bravissimo Millie, the gores are too wide (mostly at the bottom of the cups) and push tissue apart and then slides down. I’m not worried if the wire is technically too wide, that doesn’t seem to bother me as long as they aren’t super high, but seem to be out of options. Panache Ana is too shallow at the bottom in 32GG, too small in 32G. Freya Quinn is too wide is 32GG but tolerable, but the straps are so stretchy it seems to put more weight on my shoulders than should be. Fantasie side support bras have some similar measurements as Freya offbeat, but the wire is not shaped the same at the outer areas, and seem more deep and full coverage, just don’t sit right and always slide down or have a flat spot at the bottom.

Thanks in advance and my apologies for how long this is!!

Recommendations? Recommendations for 34F/FF (UK) looking for basic bra can buy online Spoiler

Hello! I have struggled to find any bra that has fit me well before in person. My current bras (auden xl) have started giving me chaffing and rub rashes so I finally figured it was time to post here. Im struggling to find not discontinued brands and I would like something that gives support and doesn’t push out too wide as I have wide roots and spill towards my armpits constantly in other bras. Online shopping extremely preferred.

Measurement Check [Measurement Check] Currently wearing 10D/32D, calculator suggested 10E/32E. + Question Spoiler

• Upvotes

Measurements (in cm)
Loose underbust: 82
Snug underbust: 80
Tight underbust: 76
Standing bust: 94
Leaning bust: 98
Lying bust: 91

I’m 18F.
Bra calculator recommended 10E/F or 32E/F. I’ve worn a 10D for about two years so my current bra is a bit stretched out. The sister sizes for my recommended size was 34DD/10DD or 34E/12E

When I went to try on my recommended size in the Berlei “barely there lace contour” bra, the band was snug but dug in a lot and became uncomfortable. I ended up buying the bra in my sister size 34DD/12DD.

I’ve been wanting to buy a push-up bra but find it very difficult to determine fit on my own - my mother helped me with the ‘normal’ bra, but I am embarrassed to ask her as she doesn’t believe my bra size and completely trusts the Bras N Things fitting that we’ve used for every one of my bras until recently when I found this subreddit (which she is doubtful of cause it’s an “online” one and not in-person fitting). I’m also very unsure.

I know push up bras aren’t known for being the most comfortable, but I’m wondering how a well-fitting one would feel. And should I size up/down, or keep it at my recommended size?

I’m also wondering whether my actual bra size would not be 10E/32E due to the band digging on the bra I tried or whether it’s just the company’s sizing differing.

Question Brands for 26 or smaller bands? Spoiler

Hi, I’ve searched on the sub and alot of the previously recommended brands for smaller bands aren’t around anymore. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get 26 or 24 band bras. I understand that they probably have to be custom but just saying that doesn’t help much since I still don’t know where I’m supposed to go to order a custom bra.
Basically I’m just asking so I have the most up to date brands/ shops to check out.

Measurement Check [measurement check] currently wearing 42c, calculator said 42H UK (42K US) not sure if that’s actually correct Spoiler

hi, i’ve been meaning to measure myself and use this website for a while since every bra i buy is either too big or too small, but i put all my measurements in and the size provided just didn’t really make sense to me in a way. my measurements are as follows, in inches; loose underbust is 42, snug is 40, and tight is 40 too, standing bust is 51, leaning is 56 and lying is 52. i’m not too sure about the size provided being correct because my chest is sort of a weird size. i’m plus size and my breasts have always been sort of droopy, kind of teardrop shaped, fuller at the bottom and for lack of a better term they point to the floor so they’re not exactly perky, i’m not sure if maybe i measured wrong but having worn a 42C for a while, a 42H (42K US) seems like a really big jump to me. maybe it is that size because the tissue seems to fill out when they’re in the bra but the current one i have has gaps at the top and sides so i feel like going to a bigger size will only make those gaps worse if that make sense? i did several remeasures too but it all turned out the same numbers, i bought my current bra at torrid as sort of a guess since i was wearing a 42 D before, and that had the same gap issues. i normally gravitate toward plunge/push-up bras though so maybe that has something to do with the gaps though as well.

i figured that since i had so many gaps that my cup size would go down, not up, but maybe there really isn’t that big of a difference between the cup sizes. if anyone would be able to help me, i would really appreciate it, thank you in advance

Recommendations? Like Ewa Michalak Gładzioch 75F but slightly rounder and higher center gore Spoiler

I tried the Ewa Michalak Gładzioch recently—first Polish bra—and got a comfortable and technically correct fit in the 75F thanks to helpful advice from Miseczki customer service. I like the sturdy structure and fabric—it gives me that rolled-back relaxed shoulder feeling I get when a bra fits and supports well. But the cup shape is not ideal for me. The center gore is too low, allowing breast tissue to migrate out a little at the center top line over time. And the forward projection is too immediate and extreme for my shape, creating the look of rather pointy breasts with the apex set a bit too close together.

I compared it to my two other best-fitting bras, the Empreinte Thalia “low-necked” (which is not, in fact, that low) in UK30F, and the Prima Donna Deauville in UK30F. Both have wires similar in width to the Gładzioch and similarly narrow center gores. But their center gores are both almost an inch taller than the Gładzioch’s 2.5” height. I don’t migrate out of the center in these bras. And the cups produce a slightly rounder shape and slightly wider apex which suits me better. However, their fabric and structure feel less sturdily supportive than the Gładzioch’s.

Can anyone very familiar with Polish bras let me know if there are others that fit more like the Empreinte and Prima Donna bras—that is, slightly rounder with higher center gore? If not, what other non-Polish bras can you recommend in my size that have similarly narrow wires and center gores, with center gore height in the 3 to 3.5 inch range? Ideally unpadded, cut-and-sewn, with sturdy fabric and structure like the Gładzioch’s. Thanks for any suggestions!

Recommendations? [recommendations] 1 year post breast feeding. Struggling to find the right bra. Small band/ large cup. Unable to shop in store because of size needed. Spoiler

1 year Post breastfeeding and having an awful time finding a bra that works for me. After reading this thread I purchased the panache envy size 34f and it seems to fit okay but the material is not comfortable at all, itchy and band might be slightly tight, and you can see the lace through shirts. I also don’t like the shape/ projection of my breasts in that bra, they appear very large and shelf-like so I might be looking for a minimizer, but I want to be able to wear slight low cut blouse. no moulded cups.

When I’m not wearing my old nursing bras, I’m wearing Dobreva unlined balconette bra size 34f (Amazon) and it’s too small. The cups are too small and the wire digs into my underarms painfully with long wear. But the material is so soft and buttery. Please help with suggestions on what to try. Im on the verge of a menty b everytime I try to find a new bra. Currently located in Italy but have access to purchase from the U.S. via shipping. thank you.

My measurements in inches:
Loose under bust: 33
Snug under bust: 32
Tight under bust: 29
Standing bust: 40
Leaning bust: 42
Lying bust: 39

A bra that fits calculator:

Recommendations? Recommendations for a strapless bra in 30DD/30DDD for close-set shallow bust Spoiler

Thanks to this community for all your help so far! I have found some great bras that fit. But now I need to enter the big leagues: a strapless bra.

The challenge I have is that I need a very low gore as I'm quite close-set. I have tried the Freya Deco plunge and found the gore was too high, and I'm happiest in Natori Feathers and Montelle Lacy Mystique. My measurements are: underbust: 30/29/28 loose/snug/tight, bust: 34.5/36/35 standing/leaning/laying.

I'm hoping to find something under $75 CAD, readily available in Canada (so sadly, Boux Avenue and Bravissimo are out). But ok to order from Amazon.

Too narrow for UK bras, too wide for Polish Spoiler

(cries in 26 band)

Editing to add measurements (in inches)

  • Underbust:
    • loose: 26
    • snug: 25
    • tight: 24
  • Bust:
    • standing: 32.5
    • leaning: 35
    • laying: 32??

Please note my bust measurements are ballpark measurements since I really can't hold the tape so loose that it "barely stays up" without it actually falling down...

Recommendations? Looking for recommendations on band size big stomach Spoiler

My measurements were 38.5 loose under bust, 37.5 snug, 36 tight, 44 standing bust, 48 leaning, 47 lying.
My body shape is straight/apple, and I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this. I tried the suggested size a couple years ago, lost some weight and got measured/a fitting bra at a lingerie store (size 40C balconette bra), and now I'm here again after gaining the weight back with the same suggested size of 38H/l. I find that a 38 band is way too tight sitting down because my stomach pushes up on the band, and the calculator is even suggesting that a 36 may fit better. Is this something other people have experienced? I've seen that if the cup size is too small that can also make the band seem too tight, but I think this is a different issue, as my standing measurements of under my bust are not accounting for what is comfortable when being pushed up on by stomach. Also please let me know of any bra type/ brand recommendations, thank you!

I'm looking for pumping bras. Any help appreciated Spoiler

I don't normally wear bras unless I'm pumping and then I just take it off when I'm done. I'd like to be able to wear them all day which is difficult because most bras really hurt my shoulders and my back. Not to mention my nipples have been so sore now too. I haven't done my measurements yet. I can't find my measuring tape, almost started using my husband's lol anyway, does anyone have any good brands? I tried larken but it made my breasts tilt upward and I couldn't pump when they're like that.

Recommendations? [Recommendations] THE BEST BRA for everyday + sensitive skin + comfy + X-back + adjustable? Spoiler

Hi folks!

I'm getting so frustrated trying to find a comfortable everyday bra that actually meets my needs. Does anyone have any brand recommendations for me please (34C (US) / 75C (EU) / 90C (FR)) ?

Here’s what I’m looking for:

My ideal bra would be:

  • For everyday wear: breathable, not a sports bra, and suitable for wearing to work.
  • Suitable for sensitive skin: breathable fabric, free from polyamide/nylon, ideally with an organic cotton or silk lining.
  • Really comfortable: as seamless as possible, with no metal underwires or rigid side supports, and no narrow elastic bands that dig in or irritate my skin.
  • Supportive for a large, sagging, wide-set bust: lifts and supports without excessive compression (again, not a sports bra), with an X-shaped racerback and a wide back panel to distribute pressure evenly.
  • Fully adjustable: individually adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable back closure, rather than a one-size-fits-all design.

Ideally, the brand would ship to France!

I'd really appreciate any recommendations. I'm starting to feel like my dream bra doesn't exist! 😭

Thanks so much in advance!

Lou

Recommendations? Canadian recommendations for small boobs Spoiler

After multiple pregnancies my boobs are totally deflated. My boobs went from small but perky, to large from the pregnancies, and now they’re small again, but the skin is stretched out with barely any breast tissue to fill them out.

I did the bra that fits calculator and it said I’m a 28D with a note that the sister size 30C might be more comfortable.

I have a 32B and the cups seem to fit okay, maybe actually slightly too large even though I think that’s also a sister size. The band rides up though because I guess it’s too big.

I prefer wireless for daily use.

Recommendations for Canadian stores that actually carry this size option?
