BOTulism

As many of you are aware, this subreddit has been overrun by bots lately. Moderators have implemented both automated and manual controls. We have also added a report category for AI/bots. If you think that you see a bot, please report it. If the bot is providing misinformation, please correct the misinformation.

Please do NOT call out the response as a bot. For one, it feels very un-excellent to real humans who get called out and that's not how we want to welcome new users. And more importantly, as someone who works extensively with LLMs (ethically, in a closed proprietary system) in my day job, when you call out a bot and explain why you think it's a bot, you are training that bot to better escape detection.

Posts with a certain number of reports will be automatically removed. Human moderators will review the rest. We['re sorry that this is happening. It's a sitewide problem and we're a big subreddit with a lot of text-based information, so bots love it.

Recommendations? Bra options for big cup and small band (India) [Recommendations] Spoiler

It feels like finding a well-fitting bra is so difficult when you fall into this category, especially in India.

Most brands seem to cater to more common sizes, and the options available can be limited, expensive!! or difficult to find offline. Sometimes, even when you find your size, the fit, support, or comfort isn't great

I personally tried m&s, amante, wacoal and triumph. And TRIUMPH is where I found the one! at a reasonable price! After trying on soooo many for MONTHS . And my size isn't even that big 28//34 under/over. (30DD is what comes in abrathatfits but idk how much to trust it for us in india)

So for it to help others and even myself, I'd love to hear about your experiences, recommendations, and any tips for finding bras that actually fit well!

Recommendations? Post-weight loss bra recommendations? (Size 32DD according to calculator?) Spoiler

Hi! I did the calculator before making this post. I was recommended a 32DD in UK and US sizes, and there was a note saying the sister size of 34D would be more comfortable. If the measurements are necessary, they were 34/32.5/30/36/38/35.

I have been on a weight loss journey and have lost a substantial amount of weight (80lbs down, 10 to go!) The issue I’m currently facing is that I’ve lost the volume in the top of my breasts—which I didn’t have a lot of anyway, they’re teardrop shaped—and now they look kind of deflated and vaguely sad in the bras I try on. I have a standard t-shirt bra but it doesn’t address the issue.

Has anyone found any success with bras that address loss of breast volume? Any help is appreciated and my self-esteem/general confusion thanks you profusely for it.

Best cute comfortable bras for big boobs Spoiler

I have spent a lot of time trying to find a bra in my size (40I) that has soft cups, straps that aren’t super wide, and a normal width band. Additionally almost all the bras I can find are minimizers, which I hate as I find that type of thinner fabric to usually be itchy. Does anyone know if a cute, comfortable bra with these things even exists? Or if anyone has bra alternatives/just any that aren’t ugly and feel terrible in bigger sizes. Though I do need one with thinner straps. I know that means it might not be as supportive but that does not bother me. Open to hearing any recs!!

Discussion How often will bra size change? Spoiler

So I decided to get some bras while on vacation back home with my mom and I was a 36D and it fits fine. That’s what I was wearing. Well I went into the trial room and it didn’t fit (the new one) I struggled and came out and now I’m a 38D so I’m getting bigger or wtf. I’m only 30 and I’ve been wearing the previous size for years. And my old 36D fits. Anyway my petite mom was there to tell me to lose weight which was fun.

Question Wearing the correct size made me feel bigger? Spoiler

I’ve been wearing a 40C for years and have been self conscious about my large size I finally measured here as a 38 H/I. I’ve found a bra or two that fit pretty well but they both make me look even larger than my old bra. A couple friends have even commented on it. I know it’s a good feeling for most women, but I just don’t like how big they look. Any advice?

Measurement Check Did the calculator(32G), and band is so uncomfortable-Am I measuring correctly? Spoiler

I’ve been on a desperate search for just a bra that feels comfortable to wear(feeling hopeless). I did the calculator a month ago and got 32G(US/Canada sizing) (I unfortunately don’t remember the measurements anymore), and I did it again just now, and I got 32DD with these measurements:
-Loose under bust: 31.5 inch
-snug under bust: 31 in
-tight under bust: 29 in
-standing bust: 35 in
-leaning bust: 36.5 in
-lying bust: 35.5 in

I got the Victoria’s secret smooth lightly lined full coverage bra when I did the sizing and got 32G, but it is SO uncomfortable!!! The underwire feels like it’s digging into my rib cage, and the whole band feels so tight and uncomfortable; whenever I try to wear it, I feel so uncomfortable; it’s the only thing on my mind! Plus, when I have it on, it feels like the bottom of the cups, like the fabric, flatten against my chest because my boobs do not fill up the whole cup? I read from some other people’s posts that this is because most bras have a ā€œbowlā€ shape. But out of all the bras I have, it looks like it fits the best. My questions are: am I measuring correctly? Is the band supposed to be tight, and I’ve just been wearing bras with extremely loose bands? For reference, I’ve been buying bras in size 36C…Another question is, where can I buy bras that suit me/my shape if I’m on a college student’s budget :’) Thank you!!

FTM due in >5 weeks. Can’t find a pumping/ nursing bra in my size?! Spoiler

I’m a first-time mom and will be delivering sometime within the next 5 weeks. I’ve always had really large breasts but they have exploded during this pregnancy. Pre-pregnancy, I was a 36H (US sizing) and I am now barely fitting in my 36M (US sizing) at 34-35 weeks pregnant.

I have yet to find a pumping or nursing bra that can fit my size even when looking at ordering online from Europe. Since I’ve never had a baby before, I don’t know how much my breasts may change once my milk comes in. I assume I have to buy a bra to accommodate for that fluctuation in size but I have no idea what to do. 😭

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!

Discussion Went from 34A to 30C, I can’t believe I didn’t do it earlier! Spoiler

I used a bra that fits to measure myself and it said I should wear a 30C which I didn’t believe at first since I’d only ever worn A cups. I bought a few new bras in a 30C and they fit PERFECT 🤩 I hate the idea that boob size is directly related to cup size because no one seems to believe that I could wear a C. I bought a new bra from lounge and safe to say it’s my new go to for bras

Question Need to know why are sizes different with some brand and it don't even fit . India. [Question] Spoiler

So my measurements are

\\\* Loose underbust: 75 cm / 29.53"

\\\* Snug underbust: 74 cm / 29.13"

\\\* Tight underbust: 71 cm / 27.95"

\\\* Standing bust: 85 cm / 33.46"

\\\* Leaning bust: 93 cm / 36.61"

\\\* Lying bust: 85 cm / 33.46"

Calculator result: 30DD UK

Now when I go and search in the websites chart they show me 32B. Happened with m&s and wacoal for now. I went to their store and tried. 32 B did NOT fit. There was a boob spillage. I had to try DD . 32DD fitted. I've no idea how. So why is the size chart which has my measurements not fitting for their actual sizes?

Fit Check [Fit Check] Trying out a 34A and a 34B and I think the former fits better. Looking for confirmation or any other input. NSFW Spoiler

I posted previously trying to sort out my self-taken measurements and size. Got 34B/C at first. Afterwards I retook them and calculator says 34B, but I tried on a 34B from Target and it felt way too tight. Tried 36A from Target and that was better but still tight. Some people recommended trying Victoria's Secret (or just "not Target" I guess, because they said Target can run on the tighter side?) They also noted I was wearing it too low down. Pulling it up a bit helped. And partly I think my issue is I've only been wearing bralettes that didn't fit as snug. I've gotten used to the 36A from Target and it feels good now.

ALL OF THAT SAID

I did go to VS (Pink) and discovered the 34 bands there do fit me better. However, I expected to need a B cup (between the calculator and the 36A), but it seems like the A cup fits better. I am transitioning MTF and only a few months on estrogen. Which from the subreddit wiki resources suggest even with AMAB selected on the tool it might be overestimating the cup size.

I feel like the 36A from Target cups fit me better than the other two, actually. (I did try the 36A of these Pink bras and don't feel like the cups are any better than 34A or 34B, while the band is too loose.)

Oh, they're all push-up bras. Should have said that.

I figured I'd just post and get some input? The image quality isn't great. Should have zoomed in more... Hopefully good enough for opinions.

Here's the 34A.

Here's the 34B.

Here's the 36A from Target for reference.

Question Confusing and inaccurate bra sizing Spoiler

As of recent ive noticed that all of my underwire bras either have cups that are too small for my boobs, have underwire that digs uncomfortably into my sides and armpits or a combination of them both.

Bra sizing has always been a bit difficult for me due to the whole process of it and earlier when i did try remeasuring to find myself a new size that actually fots me and is comfortable it wound up as the equiveilent sixe from the sizing chart i had been using which i know cant be the right size because of the amount of spillage in it. Even without the difficulties with figuring out the correct size getting nice comfortable bras is still a challenge due to sensory issues and trouble even finding the bra size charts tell me i am, ive been wearing a size 12F and while i know thats not an esspecially big size bras that i can find often only go up to a C or ocassionally a D cup.

If anyone has a sizing chart or just brands in general that dont only sell small or otherwise uncomfortable bras help or recommendations would be much appriciated.

Measurement Check Currently wearing 34DD just measured myself at US 34H? Spoiler

I just used the ABraThatFits calculator and my measurements put me at a 34H in US. I have been noticing problems with my bras but I did not think a jump that drastic in size would fix my problems.
I would best describe my chest as top fullness, projected and narrow body.
The problems I have found are: that I never feel fully supported throughout the day and find myself having to readjust fairly often; when not readjusted either the gore doesn’t rest on my chest or there is a gap of space where the bra meets the strap; I have also experienced spillage in this bra.
The bra I wear daily is an Auden Women’s Stretch Comfort Wire Demi. I honestly didn’t know there were so many things that went into finding a bra that truly fits but I was hoping that at least the size change would help my problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Measurements in inches
Loose Underbust - 34.5
Snug Underbust - 33
Tight Underbust - 31
Standing Bust - 41
Leaning Bust - 44
Lying Bust - 41

(Updated with measurements)

Ruth’s in Cranston, Rhode Island- anyone ever heard of/been? Spoiler

This feels like a massive community, figured I’d see if there are any fellow Rhode Islanders or visitors from MA or CT who have been. When I google bra fitters in RI they pop up with a few others, but seem to have a great reputation. Since I also live in Cranston I figured they are where I was going to go first and hopefully they are the only place I need to go.

Looking for plus size jelly bra that is not a minimizer Spoiler

I'd prefer a pullover instead of the clasps in the back.

I've been pregnant and nursing for a total of 12 years. That ended about 7 years ago and I have put on weight since then. So I measured and everything is completely different, band size, cup size, shape of breasts, fullness, how the weight is carried, all of it.

So I don't want a minimizer, I would rather have a push up jelly bra but I'm having trouble finding one that meets my requirements.

Recommendations?

Measurement Check [Measurement Check Please] 32DD to 30F/FF Spoiler

A while ago, I put my measurements into the calculator and was wearing UK 32DD UK with no issues.

I have since lost weight. This size now feels too loose around band (even on the tightest clasp). I think the cup still fits well.

I’ve put my measurements into the calculator and would love a measurement check. Thank you!

Loose Underbust: 77cm
Snug Underbust: 74cm
Tight Underbust: 73cm
Standing Bust: 93cm
Leaning Bust: 102.5cm
Lying Bust: 93cm
Recommends: 30F/FF UK
The calculator also mentions: The sister size of 32E/F may be more comfortable.

Need bra with coverage and extra thickness! Spoiler

I am a 34G, the first bra I got for my actual size was the t-shirt bra from skims, and while it was pretty good for a couple years, it is now too thin and my nips poke through and show on my shirts! It’s one of my biggest insecurities, having a bigger chest I already feel eyes on me in public especially if I am wearing tighter clothes. My biggest issue is first finding stores that have G cups, and second finding bras that are actually supportive and not paper thin. I have a bra from La Vie En Rose which has worn down a lot quicker and already had wire poking through which I just pulled out. I don’t want to repurchase a Skims bra because of recent moral decisions they made and don’t want to support them any longer.

Are there any brands I should try or specific bras to try?? Im willing to spend the money if it is worth it, but ideally finding something that fits my needs and also not $100+

Recommendations? Need a comfortable supportive affordable-budget option Spoiler

I used the measurement tool , and measured at a 34ddd-36dd

I have tried understance bras in 34ddd and the band felt a little uncomfortable for me, so I think the 36dd is more accurate.

I really need like no padding, and I don’t mind wires but I like the flexi wires that aren’t so stiff. I have some bralette style bras and they don’t ever seem supportive enough for me.

Edited to add measurements

Loose Underbust:35
Snug Underbust:34
Tight Underbust:33
Standing Bust:40
Leaning Bust:41
Lying Bust:41
In inches

And I really can’t handle stiff wires or stiff fabric. Sensory wise it is like unbearable for me.

Budget is preferred 40$ or less.

Question New bra in the right size, how to wash it without ruining it? Spoiler

I've been wearing lightly lined wireless Victoria's Secret 32C and 32D bras my whole life after getting measured there and believing them when they told me that was my size. While prom dress shopping earlier, I took measurements of every applicable part of my body, because I'm petite and need to know down to the inch what size I am, since XS and S vary so much from item to item and store to store. Realized I do not have a 32" under bust. And then realized I actually measure up to a 28DD bra (confirmed with the ABTF calculator).

So I finally bought my first actually we'll fitting bra, the Starlight Idol by Freya from Bare Necessities because I couldn't find anywhere else that had a 28DD without wild patterns or textures that would show through a tshirt.

All my VS bras I've just thrown in the washer and dryer with my regular loads of laundry, and the inside edges always slowly end up turning outwards weirdly, so the bra lines show really obviously through tighter tops. I also let my lighter colored (white or nude) bras get discolored in the wash because it was never a whole lot of difference. My new bra doesn't have the same foam edges as the VS ones, it has actual seams. And underwires. And lace. And is WHITE.

How do I wash and dry and store this bra so it doesn't get yellow and gray, and so it doesn't destroy the shape or wires? Is my only option hand-washing?

Recommendations? Looking for my "go to bra" 34E/F {recommendations} Spoiler

ABTF calculator measurements:

Loose Underbust: 33"

Snug Underbust: 32.5"

Tight Underbust: 32"

Standing: 39

Leaning: 40

Lying: 39

US size: 34DDD/G

UK size: 34E/F

I have pendulous breasts with loose skin from a 70# weight loss. Even fullness top to bottom(checked in the leaning position) but I believe they behave as FOB. Wide roots, projected when supported. Nipples point outward when leaning so center full?

I describe them as liquid boobs; they assume the shape of whatever container you pour them into.

I read everything on the sidebar. A lot of the styles mentioned in the wiki have been discontinued but I ordered Panache Envy side support balconette and Freya starlight side support in 34E and F.

The Freya Starlight in 34E was the best of the bunch but I sent them ALL back.

Pros: the band fit snugly on the loosest hook and felt comfortable. The gore was flush with my sternum, the wire fit nicely into my IMF. It was comfortable.

Cons: armpit fat/tail of Spence? WAY TOO MUCH PROJECTION.

I want a minimized rounded, more natural shape, both of these styles gave me bullet boobs. I've been buying Warner's and Bali "off the shelf" bras in 34DDD or 36DD and been wearing them comfortably but want more variety/sexier styles. I would LOVE a wireless that fits and have been experimenting with bralettes from Cosabella (medium curvy) and Harper Wilde mesh and Bliss in Large ( the mesh one is a winner). Also have tried Negative underwear cutout bralette in size 4 which is comfortable and I love the natural shape but my boobs tend to migrate out through the cutout and I am constantly adjusting. I have small nipples and nipple coverage is not a concern. I prefer less padded bras.

I'm looking for a brand/style that will give me the more natural shape I am looking for. I have my eye on Chantelle right now but thought I would ask here before I roll the dice again.

Measurement Check U.S.A. 41 yr mom who breastfed up until 2026 and has been >300 lbs at a point. Spoiler

I did the calculations and it says I am a Uk 36DD/E

My breast tissue seems so distorted to me I don’t really know if I’m considered shallow or projected. But I’m more inclined to say shallow? If I hadn’t played a full body game of stretch and pull with my skin my whole entire adult life I think I’d def be shallow. But there’s quite a lot of skin pooling around the bottom of my breasts. And around the back, too. I go from relaxed underbust 36.25 to 32.50 at the tightest underbust measurement.

Also, the actual stuff I’d be putting into a cup… doesn’t seem like it would be a DD. Not even close, in my elder millennial mind. Ive always been kinda small chested and that’s always meant I hovered around a’s and b’s in my life. (I think Ive always sized wrong, of course) but even at my heaviest I never got giant boobs (not even as a consolation prize like I wanted).

Anyway. I haven’t worn a real bra in years. I got sick around 2022. I was 120 ish lbs. and since I’ve gained weight back and went through a pregnancy. So got up to 215 ish and now I’m back to 183 ish. So I was using a couple 36 b bras. But now with the recent pregnancy and breastfeeding the collagen in my skin has decided to quit on me.

Any suggestions for bras to try in the US? Or easily orderable international bras perhaps? Looking for something to help with shaping silhouette under clothing. Everyday wear. Perhaps sports bra situations in case I decided I like running all of a sudden. Something that makes me tap into my feminine again.
