Discussion What should I call this?
I think I have designed a fairly unique magnetic slider fidget. No idea what to call it though, any ideas?

Looks like the top/bottom layer doesn’t bond to the body well? Not sure what’s happening here tbh but it’s happened to basically anything that I print that is box shaped. In this event it’s a garage and I believe that on the inside this is happening and sagging, this catching the door to prevent it from closing.
Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:
15% infill
Sparse infill: cross hatch
Internal solid infill: monotonic
2 wall loops
7 top shell layers
100% top and bottom surface density
5 bottom shell layers

Cleand the plate after a big fail resulting in blob of death. The structure is missing as you can see. Could this be the reason for the fail? Or is this the result of a fail? I printed a few of these structures before.
Sorry if i ask stupid questions. I am new to FDM printing.

Hey r/3dprinting!
Tired of waiting on online shipping or playing the guessing game with color shades online? I run Coffey's Digital Dreams, focusing exclusively on supplying local makers with a massive selection of 3D printer filament and supplies across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri.
No shipping fees, zero wait times so your printers never have to sit idle, and you can actually see the exact colors and shades in person before buying.
If you're local to the region, you can browse my stock in person at any of my vendor mall booths:
If you're passing through any of these spots, drop by the booth and stock up. Always happy to chat with fellow makers about what's on the print bed!

How do i 3d print rings and make them metal. I'm getting these rings 3d printed and I want them to be like actual rings. And I know nothing about anything LOL.

So I designed this overly detailed and curvy door for my rc car, but finding the right orientation to print this door while preserving both quality on both sides without supports will be a nightmare, any ideas?

So my flashforge ad5x has had this problem where this texture has shown up a lot more on the bottom layer of my 3D prints for a while. I know it's not a humidity problem because I keep my filaments dried. Could it be a problem with the motors? How should I go about fixing this? (PLA) This is on baseline settings.

Bargain, for fun prints
I used the amazon basics, and it kept getting stuck. What would be the best, polymaker? Something else?

Not trying to have a clip. But rather run my hair through it and secure it at the base of my head.
I’m not even being Agamemnon. I think it’s just cool as heck. I will be a grim reaper for Halloween though. Would be a cool accessory.

Hey everyone! I have a physical joint from a Halloween prop that broke/needs a duplicate, and I’m looking to recreate it so I can 3D print a copy.
I have limited CAD experience and was hoping for some recommendations on any software that can scan and render a copy?

I was disappointed to find out that spool-less refills cost as much or more as spooled filament*, but today I thought “I bet the core is the same between the cardboard spools and the refills and you can just tear the flanges off and put the core on a reusable spool” and yeah, wow, duh, it works great.
Finally have a use for the Bambu spool model that was my first test print with my H2D 😂

I usually make my coasters out of oak, but last night I came up with this optical design idea, so printed it (my neighbors wouldn't have liked it if I turned on the CNC in the middle of the night 😂 )

My newest model available for free. For the full color version I was using a H2C but a toolchanger would be even faster.
Everything printed in a standing orientation because of the maximum details but on a 3 color part it really bumps printing time.
Links in my bio if you would like to print it.

Here's another model from my series of bathroom and table organizers. This time, based on your comments, it's a soap dish.
Once again, it's parametric so you can customize it to suit your needs.

Im not the greatest with computers but im great with an ipad. Ive just been printing free stuff on makerworld but id like to try creating my own designs to try. Is there any apps you'd recommend where I can create on the latest iPad air ?
I tried tinkercad cad but it seemed really basic to me. My wife is a teacher and I have kids so id like to design orginal fidget toys, clickers and other basic stuff.
Anything you recomend is greatly appreciated.

My mom asked me to make a post asking for help with her 3d printer. I don't know much about it myself so if you have any questions I can relay them to her and reply.
My mom has a Bamboo labs X2D. She's using Bamboolabs transparent real PLA. Temps were the Bamboolabs automatic settings. Outer wall 50 inner walls 200. She was using Bamboolab software.
Used glue stick on the bed because we were having adhesion problems. First couple of layers were fine, walked away, came back hours later, was a 55 minute print, bamboolabs said it was completely, only to return to see this. How can I get this off? Can I heat the nozel independently to pull it off?
