I was just deleting some games I'm not gonna play and when I went back to the home screen all game titles disappear. All the data still there just the icon won't show up, what should I do

Thanks to this sub I remembered that Nintendo still services the new 2dsxl. I picked up a broken unit at my local game store for $60 from their tinker bin that had a shattered top screen and the body was scratched all to hell. I sent it in with a damage ticket, and another $65 and a bit of patience later I just received factory refurb that looks brand-spanking new!

I recently bought a jailbroken Nintendo 3DS. It has FBI protection, and I saw online that many people use it, but I want to know if it's safe in case I need to connect it to my Wi-Fi

I have an Old 3DS but the "Spotify" port doesn't work on it. It's strange because I also have the port on a New 3DS XL and it works perfectly there.

Does anyone have any idea how to make it work?

i have a very used 2015 New 3DS i got on eBay from Japan, and she's in rough shape. scratched screens, C-stick that's been chewed on to the point of uselessness, missing rubber cap for the Circle Pad, loose battery leading to random shutdowns, cracks in the faceplates, and she's just dirty in all her crevices. i want to spruce her up, and i don't want to drop crazy money on OEM parts, but i've been having a hard time sourcing the things i need outside of a replacement battery and C-stick nub.

specifically, i'm looking for replacement faceplates (ideally in white/off-white), a touchscreen protector, a top-screen glass lens, a Circle Pad cover, and potentially a new stylus because the one i have is very "loose" in the case. i'm happy to spend a bit of money on it, my main thing is not wanting to break the bank on OEM parts and wanting what i get to be reliable.

i'm very burnt from dropping $250 on a console that looks like it was fished out of some kid's toy-box and dropped into the package, so i'd MUCH prefer more "formal" sellers/sites. i don't necessarily distrust sites like eBay, even just being pointed towards sellers people can vouch for would mean a lot. i'm totally against the Aliexpress/Mercari/Tiktok Shop/etc type sites.

My Majoras Mask cover plates have been peeling for awhile, so I wanted to get some custom covers, and a clear case, but 99% of what I'm finding is clearly AI. Like and they all want 35$ for them its insane, and it's kinda hard for me to tell at first for a lot of them.

Hello everybody!! My 3ds finally came in today and I am so excited to mod it! I have never modded a device before so I’m nervous to do so. I know I need an SD card, are there any recs on which brands/size? Is that all I need to mod the DS? Thanks in advance!

I got a 3DS XL from eBay with the description mentioning the screens would not turn on, thinking that I could fix it because I assumed it would be SD card brick. But no, it didn’t even have an SD card. It doesn’t boot into safe mode, there no wireless light only blue and charging light and the screens don’t even initialise. Does anyone know what this is?? I’m assuming Wi-Fi card but I don’t want to buy one and be wrong. Note that this is a regular 3DS XL, not the ”New” one.

So when I open my 3DS I discovered a stuck pixel on my Home Screen. Before anyone thinks it's dust, watch the video and you'll see it's not dust.

So I bought this broken 2ds, and managed to fix it. When I turned it on, I immediately noticed that it's different from any 2ds i've had. I love how it looks, it looks like a custom theme but the device is not modded. It appears to be be an older firmware tho, will it be gone if I update ?

Changed to a new battery before I gave it to her, she’s liking Luigi’s Mansion at the moment. I’m trying to persuade per to play Pokémon since she watches the anime but it’s probably too complicated.

Last time I tried changing the charging port I accidentally ripped off the copper on the board because I didn’t let the solder melt all the way and because I didn’t use flux but I got a new soldering station that wasn’t wireless and with a bit of flux and some tweezers I got the old port off and the new one in place! I’m so glad it worked but my extension was disconnected so i thought I failed when I first plugged it in

Hi! I wanted to give a game console as a present to my little nephew for christmas, I opted for the og 2DS since it's the most durable out of them all.

I found this beautiful 2DS at a good price, it came bundled with a carrying case and a silicone case, I added the charger and a spare stylus, I plan to mod it and get new screen protectors for it.

Question is, what else can I do to protect this console from physical damage? The key here is durability, since my nephew isn't the most careful child in the world

I was thinking of a hard acrylic case but I haven't heard many good things about them, is the silicone one enough?

Hey everyone! I had a question: was Celeste (the full game, not the PICO-8 one) ever ported to the 3DS??? Because I can't find it anywhere... It's strange, since the 3DS is more than powerful enough, and I even have the full game on my NumWorks calculator, so there's no reason it shouldn't be on it, right? Is this a dead pixel on the bottom screen? Looks like dust inside but can't tell. Any pixel/spot experts that can help?

So recently received this 3dsxl in Prestine condition in a good deal . Working completely fine but when it's not turned on you can see a rectangle dark cloudy patch on the middle of the top screen. But when it's turned on you can't see it and there is no visible effects of it on the screen .. the guy I bought it from said it was stored and u used for years .

Should I leave it as is to try to remove the top lense and see what's the issue ??

i just got myself a used 2ds for cheap and only play cardridge games. Should i mod it? even though i will only use it for themes or save state management tools or other utilities. I have to mention my sd card reader works fine but it doesn't stay put on its own so i have a cardboard piece thats keeping the sd card from jumping out is it risky like that? and i would still want to be able to use it even if my sd card one day stops working completely (in that case of course without any of the modding benefits since that needs an sd card).

It’s a red New Nintendo 3DS XL. I got it for $180, and it looks pretty nice!
I want to keep it fresh, clean, and in good condition for as long as possible because I hope to sell it someday when the price goes up enough to get my money back.
Sounds kinda greedy, but honestly, I am 😂
So, what should I do to achieve this little goal of mine? What should I use to clean it and protect the Circle Pad and buttons?

I actually bought it because I wanted to play Pokémon. I also thought that if I just kept it clean and in good condition, it might become something valuable someday.

​I’m thinking about trading my New 3DS XL for a Switch 2, plus some added cash on top. I’ve had fun with my 3DS, but I honestly don't play it much anymore. I think I mostly just wanted the project of modifying it. It feels like it's best to pass it along to someone who will actually play it instead of letting it collect dust. What do you all think?

As the title suggests, my copy of pokemon X crashes frequently to the point playing the game is impossible (just exiting the house at the beginning of the game caused frequent crashes). It also only starts on my 3ds xl and not on my regular 3ds for some reason. When the game crashes, there is no error code that appears il only says to contact the nintendo support team and to close my 3ds entirely.

Did something like happen to one of you? What was the solution?

I'm gonna re shell it anyways since the hinge is cracked, rn it's black which is fine but ideally I want a white 3ds xl so I've been considering doing a full re shell instead of a half re shell but my main fear is the top screen.

Any time my New 3DS XL attempts to connect to Wi-Fi, the nwm process crashes the entire system. I've seen from some searches that is might be a faulty wireless card.

The new models don't have a seprate wireless card though... Do I need to replace the entire board?
