Rudolph on Switch 2 Major key card problem
The game on the eshop is only showing 82mb as the download size. When you insert the key card it gives the error 2016-0070. That error is associated with the name not being uploaded to the server yet. The game released on the yesterday the16th.
I'm probably the only one who bought the game so I don't think there's much of a fuss about it yet. I called nintendo yesterday and they had me do all these troubleshooting steps that were completely useless. I called back today to point out the fact that the download size is showing 82mb for the switch 2 version and the switch 1 version is 2gb.
I was told to contact the publisher gamemill which didn't work as all their YouTube videos have comments disabled and my emails bounced back. I don't use their other social media to contact them.
So as of now the physical game keycard is useless. I don't know if anyone bought the digital version and got that to work or not.
Anyone else having any problems with this game? Anyone else even buy this game?

On This Day On This Day in Nintendo History: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$
On this day (October 17) in Nintendo history...
- WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$ was released in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube in Japan. In this party game, developed by Nintendo R&D1, more than 200 surreal min-games are set to appear. Brash, bright graphics and simple but terrifyingly captivating gameplay make for a hysterical multiplayer experience; most multiplayer modes support up to four players, but taking alternate turns, up to 16 people can play together in some modes! You can also play through the deranged single player mode to unlock oodles of kooky extras.
What are you favourite memories of these games? How do you think they hold up today? Hash it out in the comments.

Nintendo Wii Family & Nintendo DS Family
Hello! I miss the nostalgic Frutiger Aero and Frutiger Eco vibe of the classic Wii, DS, and 3DS eras so much. My childhood didn't pass with boring mobile games; I grew up with Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Animal Crossing, and similar masterpieces. I absolutely adore your consoles, games, and Wii Channels!
I’m not asking you to literally bring back the exact same old consoles. Instead, update their hardware with high-quality, accessible components, refresh their names, but keep that beloved Frutiger design and soul alive. My whole life was shaped by your incredible consoles.
Also, please consider making Nintendo consoles and games more accessible and affordable in Türkiye so more fans can reach them. If you ever bring back the spirit of these beloved consoles in a modern way, making them accessible would mean the world to us.
From a true Nintendo Fan.

Using Nintendo Alarmo Since Launch
Since I saw some people making threads like a year ago asking if anybody actually bought and used the Alarmo, I thought I’d share my experience.
I’ve had the Nintendo Alarmo since early access launch; I ordered it on October 10th, 2024, the day after it was made available to Nintendo Switch Online members (I had an active membership at the time). It arrived exactly two years ago on October 15th, 2024. I got it because I have very disordered sleep and was hoping some of the features would help me wake up.
It is the only alarm that I’ve tried that wakes me consistently.
Save for my previous job where the schedule alternated every other week (much to my chagrin), I’ve been actively using the Alarmo for waking up since I got it. I’ve always had it set to the BOTW theme with the alarm randomly cycling between the BOTW sounds. The clock itself is also just really charming, even when I haven’t been actively utilizing the alarm function. I like watching Link scurry around the screen.
I’ve always used it in manual mode because I have a dog, so I really have no idea if the motion alarm part of it is any good (although I think I tried it for a little), even though that was lowkey what I originally bought it for. 😆 But hey, it’s still for some reason super effective for me even without using this feature. Something about the gentle wake to game music but with the added urgency of the sound effects must just click for my brain. I used the sleepy sounds for a while until they changed something about it that I can’t remember (it was probably due to my sleep schedule too). I also used the hourly chime for a while until my work schedule got weird. Might actually try using that again. Basically, I’ve tried out most/all of the features.
While writing this post, I actually noticed that they added a feature I’ve been wanting. 😅 I’ve always used the Zelda theme because I didn’t want it to shuffle into themes I didn’t care for, but it looks like they added a way to add favorite themes and only shuffle those, so I guess I’ll be giving that a try! Variety is the spice of life.
This is a little rambly, but TL;DR I’m the weirdo that has been using the Alarmo since launch. I like it!
Edit: I remember why I stopped using sleepy sounds! It’s because they changed them to be motion-activated, and mine didn’t work consistently. :(

The Ocarina remake should have a "Classic Mode" with N64 controller support, removal of full voice over, and Navi's original voice.
EDIT: Full N64 Nintendo Classics controller support has been confirmed according to emerging reports from several people with access to game previews who are posting reviews and content across social media and other outlets.
Before you rush to reply "Why not just play the original?" This post is about how the new game could simply incorporate three OPTIONS (at this point two, as classic N64 controller support is now confirmed) to allow players to enjoy the fidelity and detail of the remake while still having some classic aspects of the original experience's controls and atmosphere. It is NOT about mandating one experience, or considering one better than the other. It's only about how it would be nice to have some user selectable options for the experience similar to the Pro and Master HUD and control modes in BOTW and TOTK.
While the remake is gorgeous and will certainly stand on it's own there's a lot of changes shown that have been slightly controversial among the wider Zelda fan base to say the least. It seems like adding an optional "Classic Mode" or toggles to some of these updates could help a lot to bridge the gap for players who may want to explore the remake without certain aspects of these new additions. Or, to allow people to tailor the experience to their overall liking.
Ability to disable or limit voice-overs: It's been clear since the reveal that the new voice overs have been incredibly polarizing. For the most part the sentiment online is you either love the new English voice-overs as a worthwhile improvement, or you hate them for ruining your immersion and perceived anime dub feel. There's little to no middle ground on it and people have been arguing for or against them since day one.
- Giving players a choice to select a classic mode where voices are limited to grunts and snippets like the N64 original would be a simple way to let people play in the way that best suits them, much like the HUD-less Pro and Master modes the game is including.
N64 Controller Support via the Nintendo Classics controller: (This is now confirmed as included thanks to emerging reports from reviews and preview sessions.) To many the N64 controller and Ocarina of Time are inseparable. Not having a classic control mode, with or without auto-jump, or some kind of ability to use the N64 Switch Online controller would be an incredible letdown and missed opportunity.
- It would just be fun to mess around with the N64 controller and have an alternate control experience. Nintendo could easily map the camera controls to the N64 controller's unused D-Pad, allowing a player to shift their hand or thumb left and use that to rotate and tilt their camera as needed. Using it would be a compromise if someone so chose but a worthwhile one for many. It would allow players to keep the familiarity and iconography of the N64 controller and it's decades of significance to Zelda fans and Ocarina of Time as a whole too. Nintendo does the same for Super Smash Bros. players with Gamecube controllers, and it would be a nice olive branch extending the same courtesy to their Zelda fan base.
Use Navi's Original Voice Actor who's all new, entirely English, performance is in the new Japanese Dialogue: Navi's voice is one of the single most iconic sound bites in gaming history. Everyone who's ever picked up a controller has heard "LISTEN!" at some point in their life. It's as iconic and important to Ocarina of Time and much of modern Zelda's legacy as the sound of Mario's coins and power-ups is to that entire franchise. While the Japanese remake uses new lines, entirely in English, from the original voice actor for Navi, the English dub uses a new and updated voice-over from a different voice actor that has attracted even more controversy among fans than all the other updated voice-overs as a whole.
- Letting players choose between Navi's original Japanese and new English voice actors and allowing players to have their choice in the experience they prefer, regardless of if they have Japanese or English voice overs selected or disabled, would go a long way given how important this aspect of Ocarina of Time and gaming as a whole is to millions and millions of people the world over. Nintendo clearly understood how important this was in Japan. They chose not to recast such a significant role while allowing the original voice actor to give a new performance, yet they did not seem to care as much to keep that in foreign markets. Giving us a choice in the matter of which Navi we'd like to hear would be a very nice gesture that goes a long way.
There's plenty of other things people have had comments and thoughts on concerning the remake. Out of that it only really seems like Link's new tunic feeling a bit over designed or distracting, and the doll-like eyes of the characters entering the uncanny valley, appear to be the other most prevalent recurring topics. But Nintendo themselves clearly knew the latter would be distracting to some players and added little throwbacks in the form of the Amiibo that can let you wear N64 head models as a mask. So they understand the value of certain aspects of the original game, even if it's all just in good fun. If Nintendo simply added optional toggles to those three major aspects relating to the voice-over, controls, and Navi's voice it would be a very fair compromise that bridges the gap for many players old and new.
What do all of you think?
