This dumb shit is out of control. Is there a better platform? if not, when?

Regardless of platform, (browser, android, apple tv, etc.) some channels have been shoved in my face dozens of times and are still being recommended even after using do not recommend. I have hit not interested because I don't like it. Still shows up. I report them as spam. As harmful. As repulsive. Youtube ignore each and every one. I have completely wiped out both my watch history and liked videos as maybe something in there was causing it. No luck. Anyone else? I'm at a loss. If I have to see asmongold's stupid prick face again it will be too soon. Edit - I thought it went without saying but all operating systems, browsers and individual apps are completely up to date.

Just wanted to do a little vigilantism on my own terms because I've been seeing these videos of grown adults bouncing on beach balls with their butts. These are clearly fetish channels, and what makes them worse and definetly problematic channels is that these feitsh videos contain properties for kids like PAW Patrol.
Given the Elsagate and horrible fetish videos I've seen and what has been poisoning YouTube, I'm glad I'm doing my share of exposing this type of content to keep the platform safe.
The first video had the person pop the PAW Patrol beach ball with not just their butt but also with a knife.
The second one is just some guy popping the PAW Patrol ball with his bottom.
The third one is also unique of these three because the guy is bouncing on the beach ball with fart sound effects, so this guy also has a fart fetish. Oh, and he also has clips of kids cartoons and is obsessed with Yakko Warner from Animaniacs and happens to be a furry. It's not creepy at all... Even the furry community shouldn't be associated with weirdos like this guy.
These channels are clearly pedophilic given what's here on this post. It's surprising that these people are bold enough to post this nasty garbage to YouTube. These videos are not even age restricted, like the ones I screenshotted.
These disgusting channels and videos make my blood boil, and I'm relieved I'm finally venting and cracking down on this weirdo crap because, let's be real, THIS is NOT okay at all.

sorry if this kind of post isn't allowed, i don't have bad intentions, i swear lol. i just stumbled upon this channel today and maybe it's just my melancholy acting up but i really want to find out who those people are and where they are now? their videos are such a time capsule, they seem like such cool teenagers of the time. there are rumors in the comments that the guy died in a car accident, but i haven't seen any actual proof of this claim.

Before COVID, my YouTube feed was incredible. I was constantly finding things I wanted to watch, and my Watch Later playlist grew so large that it was impossible to keep up with.
Now the recommendations are boring. I spam F5 and get the same videos. I check the “New to you” section and it’s still boring.
I can’t tell whether I’ve consumed all the good stuff or whether the algorithm has gotten worse for everyone.

hi there. i have looked around and cant seem to find any way to undo this "feature".
there are many videos id like to watch, but as soon as i notice it has the "auto dub" shit i click off. i am an adult who knows how to read subtitles. this forced auto dubbing always makes the videos awkward AF, and as far as i know creators cant opt out of it.
is there any setting or browser addon i can use to remove this crap? almost feel bad for creators who's analytics i mess up by clicking on their videos then clicking off 10 seconds into the video because youtube forced an auto dub down my throat
TIA

This is my home feed as of 10mins ago. Pretty sure they used Gemini to vibe-code this UI. Ain't no way in hell, a human made it so bland and unusable.

Everything from the AI voice overs to the stock images that are often the wrong person/item/location, I'm talking anout the just lazy shit content thst is 100% AI and are an insult to genuine content creators. I would like an option to not be recommended it or see it anywhere on my feed (I'm Premium btw and wouldn't even mind if it was locked behind Premium.)
Could content creators simply state no AI was used and lie as the technology gets better and better and more convincing? Could such a thing even be developed? I don't want to support the slop.
As an example and what probably triggered this post, my 83 year old Father was watching some AI kung fu thing earlier and was oblivious to the fact it was fake and thought the guys with 12 packs were real and it was some perfectly choreographed never ending fight sequence and he was watching it non the wiser. He's gone from watching history and cooking videos to absolute garbage as mentioned above and made up stories with really dramatic titles which almost always have an attractive female as the thumbnail and a females voice. Then his feed becomes hammered with them and he is stuck in a loop of endless AI shit being pushed at him. It's fucking sad.

My YouTube app (iPhone) just updated and subscriptions are gone entirely. They HAD been moved to a tab on my home page, but now even that is gone!! Where on earth do I access my subscriptions tab. This is genuinely infuriating.

Watching a Brad Mondo video where he reacts to people dying ther own hair with boxed dye. The person says "make me brunette" but the captions say "I want to be dark-skinned" wtaf? I'm hard of hearing and I had to turn the volume up so high to verify she did not actually say this... I'm so tired of the captions not saying exactly what the audio says. It should be illegal to not post exact captions! Hard of hearing and deaf people deserve to know EXACTLY what is being said. Not some weird interpretation that is incorrect. I also watched a craft video where "border" got changed to "frame" in the captions (I can lipread), and it makes no sense in context of the actual craft. Please how do I get the captions to display an exact transcript of what's being said?

I will try explain it the best I can, because I am not able to upload a video for some reason? But basically what's happening is I select a video from my camera roll, and instead of showing me the UI to make it a YouTube video it shows me the UI to make it a YouTube short. Does anyone know how to fix this?
r/youtube • u/No-Volume1744 • 23h ago
Im trying to watch videos, and every short, every song and video just stops playing randomly and then permanently buffers and cuts to a black screen
Restarted my phone, force stopped the app, cleared my cache too
