Witcher - Nintendo Question/Support Maybe an odd question but, can I play the DLCs in the "New Game +" mode?
I started a playing this mode a few days ago but I can't see the DLCs anywhere and I wonder if they will show up eventually or you can't simply play them there.

Discussion The influence and power of merchants in the Witcher
I'm not talking about the games, but the book lore of the Witcher. So, in our history, merchants practically ran cities and many merchant dynasties held immense power that rivaled or surpassed royal families and noble houses. For example, House of Medici (a banking dynasty in Italy) had produced Popes and Queens.
In the Continent, how much influence, wealth and power do merchants have compared to the of Northern Kingdoms or Nilfgaardian Empire? Is it likely some kings or Emperor Emhyr were dependent on these banking or merchant families during times of war?
Would these merchant families become rich by selling furs, goods, or jewelry or did they just sell money for money (for example bringing coins of Kovir to Novigrad and selling them)?

Discussion Orianna Cameo in Witcher 4
Alright this is my wishful thinking but I kinda hope and like if they have Orianna return in a quest in Witcher 4. Here is an idea of it that I want to share.
* This is under the assumption that Orianna is TRUE higher vampire and did not die in A Night to Remember, only severely beaten and may eventually be revived. So no, we are NOT discussing whether if she is a bruxa or not as this debate may go on and on.
Ciri came across a village and meets Orianna in a nursing home, who also now works as a doctor. Players may not recognize her at first because she was wearing a mask, and the only give away being her red hair.
There would be other side quests in this village, and players will slowly recognize the signs, such as the Doctor is very friendly with children, and often request monthly blood samples for health check against the plague.
The final giveaway would be catching her singing her signature Lullaby to a dying patient before sinking her teeth into them.
When Ciri draws her sword, players are now given a choice whether to slay or spare Orianna(the choice that was never given to us back in W3).
- If we choose to slay her, we would go through a mini boss fight with her, and also know that she is currently still weak from the damage Geralt dealt to her years before(thus explaining the power scaling because if she's like Dettlaff she would not be so "easy" to beat). After slaying her, we would be facing off angry villagers and crying children, forcing us to leave. If we come back after some days, we would see the village in ruins. After all, Orianna, despite her exploitation, was also protecting the village from surrounding monsters with her presence. With her gone, monsters and plague would consume the village, wiping them out.
- If we choose to spare her, the choice is also locked forever and we would not be able to attack her afterwards. If we come around the village from time to time, we would hear villagers and children praising her, also gossips of a certain child becoming sick recently or another person died to the plague. When we speak to Orianna she would greet us politely, but also smugly repeating what she said in BoW "You see, Witcher? The world is not black and white, it's shades of all kinds." But she would also assure us that she prefers keeping her "wines" in good state. She may also comment how she was previously humbled by a witcher and now prefers peace and stability.
- Bonus: To prevent too many players from choosing to spare her, we may get unique gears from slaying her. BUT here's the catch - Like the Bloody Baron, players eventually may find a roundabout way to "steal" them without slaying her. However, from then on, we would find lesser vampires ambushing outside the village that would attack us whenever we enter or exit the village, proof that the redhead vampire does get a little vindictive.

Discussion Witcher newbie
Hi all
Apologies if this is a frequently asked question. I want to get into the Witcher, but do not have a pc to play the first two games. Would reading the books before playing 3 be a good way to get into the series?
Thanks

Discussion Modders of mod.io: please add NG+++ mods.
I'm hoping the modders can figure out how to add a way to do multiple playthroughs from Ng+ to Ng++ and beyond. Always hated you only get one. I'm a console gamer and this would be an amazing mod to have personally.

Discussion Don't even act like The Battle of Kaer Morhen isn't one of the most amazing moments in gaming history!!
I've played through this game **at least** 3 times before (I can't remember exactly how many).
Just finished this mission again and it still gives me chills!

Discussion Do our fanfictions or OCs reside in the Witcher multiverse?
So, even though Ciri has travelled to alternate worlds (including ours), I wonder there are other spheres or worlds she hasn't travelled yet.
So, the sphere in the books have the Continent, Nilfgaardian Empire, Northern Kingdoms, and monsters because of the Conjunction of the Spheres.
And is it like: in the other spheres, our ideas and fanfics actually exist and Ciri could actually visit them one day?
The Witcher 3 I forgot how the game throws endless steel swords at you at the beginning... yet sends almost exclusively monsters against you.
Recently restarted, so still early on with the baron, but my god this annoys me. I have to go to every merchant/smith to find weapon's repair kit to repair my silver sword, else I do nothing in combat. But what rewards to you find? For example in the cave of the elven mage? 2x STEEL SWORDS! Yet you are exclusively using your silver sword against all enemies there.
I have no problem with the need for repairs of equipment, but I just remembered how every time I play this game, this annoys me a lot in the early game and I need to go out of my way to hunt for silver swords (that are decent for the early game), just to be able to keep up with weapons degradation.

Art Art of my Witcher OC 🫴💐
I finally finished it! 🫠
It's a matching piece to my Witcher OC, style-wise.
Because every Witcher needs a troublesome sorceress, does he not? 🤭

The Witcher 3 Build help after big break
I got to level 23 and I was using the cat armor. I have come back after a few years and want to swap to heavy attacks. How do I go about it? I can barely remember how to play and build my character and the remaster has changed the skills too.
I guess I am asking for tips and armor recommends?

The Witcher 3 I think the pond skater they're referring to is Jesus Christ, or someone else who can walk on water.

Netflix TV series Netflix should’ve did what Prime Video has done with Reacher
Each season is based off of a different book, Witcher series would’ve been better being done by prime video they do book adaptations better
If it was done by prime, we’d be getting spin off shows based on different Witcher schools. But I can dream.
For example the new Neaghly show set in the reacher universe

The Witcher 3 Can I do the dlc after the base game?
I’ve never played the Witcher before and I believe I’m getting close to the end and I’m level 26 so I wanna make sure I can play the dlc without a dark souls situation. So my main question is, do I have to do the dlc before or after the main game? Or does it matter? And which one should I do? I wanna do them chronological order so yea.

Discussion Do you find the Character menu restrictive?
I’m loving the updated skills, it’s just like in Cyberpunk where all of the perks are meaningful additions. Don’t you find it restrictive that you can only slot 12 perks/abilities out of what seems to me triple of that?
I get the mix and match element but on harder difficulties i think it would be great to be able to expand rather than constrict what i can use. On a fresh new Death March playthrough i am constantly switching skills for different situations.
I really don’t understand why they didn’t go the Cyberpunk way where you unlock perks and you grow. What do you think?

Discussion Which decisions that Geralt can make across the series you consider to be the worst he can make and essentialy as inconsistent with Geralt character as it's possibile?
For me it's either killing Keira or taking Emperor's gold after bringing Ciri to him in front of her and overall actively being Dick to her after just rescuing her which triggers a bad ending in Witcher 3
I was honestly baffled those are even an options lol.

The Witcher 3 Baron fistfight damage bug
Has anyone encountered a damage bug playing the fistfight against the Baron in Crows Perch near the start of his quest?
I'm playing on the Steam deck and it is taking fucking forever, he takes 9 damage per heavy attack and seemingly has about 3000hp. This doesn't seem right at all. I need to perfectly parry hundreds of times to win the fight.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried changing the difficulty from deathmarch down to the lowest setting and nothing is changing. I've done numerous play throughs of this game and know this is not how it went before.

Witcher - PC Question/Support Legacy Roach settings
Where is this option? I've heard that the remaster will let you undo the fixes, but I cannot find that setting anywhere. I'm on the GoG version, 5.01
