How do you think the class structure works in the Continent? If you were to classify each person in the Continent per class, where would they rank?
Well, mine would be (from highest to lowest);
1- The Emperor and the ruling house of Nilfgaard; the Emperor has absolute authority over his lands and can dictate his laws over his territory.
2- The Northern Kingdoms and royals; they have significant amount of authority over their kingdoms and can create or shape laws at will.
3- Mages; they manipulate rulers and shape kingdoms.
4- Nobility; Dukes, earls and barons obey to their king but are the highest authority within their domain.
5- Priests and the Church; the Hierarch practically rules Novigrad and can command punishments, executions and excommunications at will.
6- Merchants; some merchants hold immense power and wealth that can rival of nobles and royals. They control the trade and shipping routes.
7- Witchers; even though they're frowned upon; they're needed when a creature is near a city or a kingdom and they get paid.
8- Peasants; unfortunately, they suffer while kings and nobles declare war, sow in the fields, fight in battles, etc.

It was a Dogcatcher of Vizima contract given by a gravedigger of Vizima in chap II-III from Witcher 1 to me.
Killing innocent non-hostile dogs around the town was too much to me when i've played it as a kid tbh. I would have not that much problem with it if those dogs were agressive and dangerous for citizens or smt but you have to attack them by yourself and they're not even fightning back only moans and try to fly away, truly horrible experience.
Witcher shall be slaying monsters no dogs in my opinion, used to always avoid doing it, both gold and xp were not worth that

I'm not talking about the games, but the book lore of the Witcher. So, in our history, merchants practically ran cities and many merchant dynasties held immense power that rivaled or surpassed royal families and noble houses. For example, House of Medici (a banking dynasty in Italy) had produced Popes and Queens.
In the Continent, how much influence, wealth and power do merchants have compared to the of Northern Kingdoms or Nilfgaardian Empire? Is it likely some kings or Emperor Emhyr were dependent on these banking or merchant families during times of war?
Would these merchant families become rich by selling furs, goods, or jewelry or did they just sell money for money (for example bringing coins of Kovir to Novigrad and selling them)?

For me it's either killing Keira or taking Emperor's gold after bringing Ciri to him in front of her and overall actively being Dick to her after just rescuing her which triggers a bad ending in Witcher 3
I was honestly baffled those are even an options lol.

Don't get me wrong I love the chance for extra loot but I could have sworn there wasn't this many encounters years back
Recently restarted, so still early on with the baron, but my god this annoys me. I have to go to every merchant/smith to find weapon's repair kit to repair my silver sword, else I do nothing in combat. But what rewards to you find? For example in the cave of the elven mage? 2x STEEL SWORDS! Yet you are exclusively using your silver sword against all enemies there.
I have no problem with the need for repairs of equipment, but I just remembered how every time I play this game, this annoys me a lot in the early game and I need to go out of my way to hunt for silver swords (that are decent for the early game), just to be able to keep up with weapons degradation.

I started a playing this mode a few days ago but I can't see the DLCs anywhere and I wonder if they will show up eventually or you can't simply play them there.

I accidentally learned very early in the game, you can use this from the very start of the game before you level up or learned how to make potion or other items to kill a werewolf because without potions and items or levelling up it’s nearly impossible to kill a werewolves especially since they regain health, now I go on I don’t know if this works on all consoles or pc but it does work when I did playing it on Switch and worked every single time.
Now what you want to do is if you come across a werewolf you can’t kill just call your horse Roach then get the werewolf to get close to him so you’re on each other’s side of the horse and kinda direct him around to the back of your horse so Roach back kicks him!
Now the werewolf will temporarily hit the ground and with that run over to him while he‘s still on the ground and do a downward stab straight through him, he will get back up but just stand there, you can’t interact or loot him or anything but the game will just act as if he’s dead anyway.
Hope this helps anyone else who couldn’t kill werewolves around the start of the game!

Of course we all know if a human were to drink a potion they would either die or be stuck in some horrible coma like state (I assume the same applies to dwarf and elves)
So let's say Regis drank a potion. Would nothing happen would he be sick for a couple of days or nothing
Also imagine letho and other witcher assassins using potion as tools to use. Spiking/swapping targets drinks

Hey all. Like you, I’ve been encountering some weird bugs and glitches since remastered dropped but I’ve seen others posts and wondered how others don’t have the same problems. Some such problems are:
Geralt no longer has bright orange cat-like eyes, but round more brown eyes with large round “normal” pupils.
Geralts arms floating off his shoulders, like there’s no connecting texture like Geralt is a Rayman character (iykyk)
Potions turning Geralts face completely black
Regis and Detlaff in BaW iare missing literal entire parts of their bodies
I’m sure there’s more but the update dropped as I was finishing up BaW for my NG+ file in preparation for SotP and it’s massively killed my drive to even play the game or hope for the new dlc to be playable. Does anyone have any fixes? I’d greatly appreciate some support.
Thank you!

I've played through this game **at least** 3 times before (I can't remember exactly how many).
Just finished this mission again and it still gives me chills!

Been playing around with NPC bodyguard mods lately... Trying to see who the 'strongest' characters are in terms of combat ability, health pool, damage output etc.
My observations so far is that Higher Vampires (Regis and Dettlaff) are OP, along with Bruxae. They obliterate other monsters/NPCs I spawn - the only one who gave them a decent fight was Big Bad Wolf (who killed Regis a few times 1v1).
Caretaker is also cool and has great combat animations.
P.S. Unseen Elder has no combat abilities as a spawnable character, he just cowers and dies in 1 hit XD
