Title. Tomorrow the bans will be 104 days (November 4th), and so on. DO NOT DISCUSS THE USERS, OP, OR ANYONE BUT THE TOPIC.
No, we're not making a single megathread for politics or a particular candidate.
No, we're not banning politics from the sub. This cycle is not new, things will calm down in three weeks.
Abusing the report button on content YOU DON'T LIKE is causing mass-approvals of all reported items. This allows actual rule violations to slip right through. Yesterday, someone reported over 150 comments in a thread. Two clicks, the entire report queue was cleared, likely taking valid reports with them. Please, stop it.

In comparison to today: The tally of independent expenditure filings and AdImpact data shows Tiffany and his backers have spent $54.8 million compared to the $21.6 million by Crowley and those boosting his campaign. (Obviously, these won't be the final numbers since they are still campaigning). Source

Copied from Forward Kenosha Facebook post:
Crowley didn’t just help keep the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee — he helped save one of Wisconsin’s biggest economic engines without raising taxes or sticking residents with a blank check.
The bipartisan deal Crowley helped negotiate keeps the Brewers in Milwaukee through 2050 and funds long‑term stadium repairs with a shared plan: the state, city, county, and the Brewers organization all contribute, and the team itself is responsible for cost overruns. No new taxes, no surprise bills for families — just a smart, balanced agreement that protects thousands of jobs and keeps millions flowing into our communities.
The Brewers generate roughly $260–$300 million every year for Wisconsin’s economy, support thousands of jobs, and drive tourism, restaurant traffic, hotel stays, and local business revenue.
Crowley’s smart and fiscally responsible leadership helped secure ALL of that for decades to come.
That’s what effective, practical problem‑solving looks like — protecting taxpayers while keeping one of Wisconsin’s most important cultural and economic assets right where it belongs.
That's the kind of leadership we NEED for Wisconsin in this moment!
Let's go Brewers!! ⚾ 💙 🎉

He attended the rally. He was on Capitol Grounds. He stayed, watched, and took selfies as police officers were being beaten and the Capitol was under attack.

This was on the back of a conservative newspaper I received in the mail. Obviously the racism is blatant. I don't even have the words.

..and a new resident of the wonderful state of Wisconsin, I cannot tell you how excited I am for you all. I am absolutely rooting for my Brewer brothers! I got to live this in 2016 and it was amazing.
I've always loved the Brewers, probably because I loved to see them beat up on the White Sox pre 1998. But also because they EASILY have the best logo in baseball. Miller Park is awesome too (not going to call it AFF).
Good luck and it is really really nice to see a team good at scoring runs without having to hit a homerun. Old school baseball for the win!

I am an election worker. Because of a stupid apparently viral social media lie I have been asked multiple times whether or not your ballot will be invalid if a poll worker writes on it. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. The people holding position at the ballot table WILL initial your ballot as THIS IS STATE LAW.
At the end of election night, poll workers check for those initials to make sure the number of ballots cast matches the number of voters recorded.
Please share with everyone you know so we can make it through election day without completely losing our sanity.

Racist billionaire Elon Musk is spending hundreds of millions of his personal funds in an effort to preserve the GOP’s congressional majority.
Through his America PAC, Musk has financed ads that have recently focused heavily on Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, transgender rights, and the domestic safety net.
Musk is the GOP’s biggest publicly identified donor in the 2026 midterms. In addition to his PAC, Musk has donated at least $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, which works to elect Republicans to the Senate.
So far, Musk has reportedly spent $366 million to prop up Republicans. Millions of those funds have been spent on ads on Meta’s Facebook, which allows advertisers to target specific states and congressional districts.
According to a Daily Kos survey, Musk’s ads in Meta’s ad library that began running on Sunday use imagery of Ocasio-Cortez, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in an attempt to motivate right-leaning voters to counter an expected blue wave.
And in another ad, a video alleges that Ocasio-Cortez and “the socialists” intend to raise taxes by “$4 trillion”—an obvious lie meant to motivate opposition to Ohio’s Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown.
For context, Musk’s Tesla escaped paying taxes in 2022 despite making more than $7.6 billion in 2021.
In an ad targeted toward Wisconsin’s 3rd District, Musk’s PAC warns that Democratic candidate Rebecca Cooke—who is running against GOP Rep. Derrick Van Orden—is working with Ocasio-Cortez to “open our borders,” a rehash of a debunked right-wing talking point.

Ah yes, I am so glad the "Wisconsin Transcript" - Local News, Community, Faith, and Events arrived in my mailbox today. US Postage PAID in Arlington, TX, Permit #343. No bylines in the paper. This is "pink slime" journalism and straight propaganda. Check out their great "On The Wall" page on the back!
I'm sure this is hitting tens of thousands of mailboxes before the midterms in Wisconsin. Anyone else receiving similar "newspapers" in your neck of the woods?
