I got there late for one of these and both sets of street level doors were locked. Anyone gets there on time maybe a word to maintenance or security that the doors need to be left open after 6 pm. Elevators, 'natch.

Hi i just got an ass haircut im done with this hairstylist..... does anyone know of any hairstylists that can do alternative hairstyles (ie a wolfcut or something) without it just being the "clean" version, or a bowl cut if its slightly shorter than what a bob would be. i miss feeling good about my hair... or maybe just a shop that has an lgbtq flag in the window cause i know they can do my hair right and NOT give me a pixie cut when i ask for a shaggy mullet!!!!!!!!!!! this is the last straw please

Hi there, this is very in advance, but I’m planning advent activities for me and my toddler this year. There’s some just for fun stuff, but I want the majority to be giving/community focused (drop off food to a food pantry, deliver Christmas cards to neighbors, etc.) and I want to bake and give some cookies/snacks to places that serve the community. Obviously local fire departments would be great, but would love to hear other ideas of places in the valley that would be enjoy a plate of homemade treats or even maybe a box of energy drinks?? lol thanks!

Hello all! I am part of the Fox River Hurling Club. Never heard of the sport? No problem! Hurling is the national sport of Ireland, and we are trying to get new people involved. We are a co-ed club with ages ranging from 18-50. Recently, we also brought back our youth team.

Yesterday the Safety and Licensing committee voted 3-1 to "prohibit the acquisition, installation, operation, use, or funding of automatic license plate readers" by City of Appleton departments and employees. This recommendation for approval by the committee will now go to the common council for a final vote on Wednesday 10/21 at 7pm.

This resolution, if passed, would create an ordinance effectively banning ALPRs from companies like Flock and Axon from being purchased with tax dollars or used by our police department. Appleton PD does not currently use squad-mounted or other mobile ALPR devices, but it would also prevent those from being used in the future by police or other city departments. Notably, this doesn't prevent private businesses or residents from using ALPR mass surveillance systems.

If this resolution is passed it will likely be national news and serve as a model for the rest of the Fox Valley and Wisconsin. State lawmakers are also paying attention to this. Oshkosh is working on a similar resolution right now.
