BKK In Uptown
Wanted to share my experience with BKK, which recently opened in Uptown Waterloo.
My favourite restaurant for Thai food in Toronto is Koh Lipe and BKK is a sister restaurant.
So fucking good, what you see is Khao Soi, Tum Thai and Prik Gaeng Moo Krob. I chose medium spice level and it already had a kick, be careful with Thai spice levels as they’re not messing around.
Probably the best Thai food in the region now, mind you it’s a bit more upscale compared to the others in the region. Also a little pricey, but still worth it in my opinion.

Is this your kitty?
I know there are a few outside cats in this area but this guy (or gal) looks small.

Do not order from the Famous Owl of Minerva!
I should say halt before you order (idk what I’m doing on this platform) I never post but this has made me feel so bleh about the whole situation. I ordered the tteokbokki rose from the Korean Ddukbokgi & Bunsik that inclued the rice cakes, glass noodles, bacon and sausage. I only received the rice cakes. I did order Uber Eats so I contacted them first. They told me to go through the store. Guess what? It’s not a store and is operated through “The famous Owl of Minerva.” I call them to get a refund and I was put on hold for 30 mins. I call back and they put me on hold for 5 mins before they hung up. I tried calling back after and they immediately send me to voicemail. I work 6 days a week and was trying to treat myself tonight and it sucks. Just a heads up, there are more ghost kitchens than you think.
Edit: I want to add I am no way saying uber drivers are responsible for any of this. Uber Eats drivers have been nothing but the best and their service will never be reflected on reviews on restaurants !

Found envelope at Pink Crow Cafe
I found an envelope containing cash at Pink Crow Cafe in Waterloo today. It was tucked among some cards from Christina MacLellan, Artist.
I handed the envelope to the café staff so the owner can hopefully get it back.
If you think it may be yours, please contact Pink Crow Cafe and be prepared to describe the envelope/cards and contents so they can verify it belongs to you.
I’m posting this because I’d really like to help the person who lost it get it back.

Sidewalk snow clearing debate leaves little middle ground as age divides opinion
Almost 60 per cent of respondents agree strongly or somewhat that city hall should take on sidewalk snow clearing, even if it has to spend more. Just over 30 per cent disagree, strongly or somewhat.

Visiting Waterloo Soon!
Hello! I'm visiting Waterloo in about a month for a couple days, and I wanted to ask for local recommendations on what to do there, like restaurants, cafes, activities, and so on. Spots where i'll be missing out if I didn't visit, thank you!

Right to Walk Event
instagram.comThere is a Right to Walk event taking place at Lakeside Park in Kitchener this Sunday at 2pm I wanted to share!
Unfortunately, there have been 3 sexual assaults in this area. If you can't come to the walk, stay vigilant and visit the WRPS Instagram for photos and a short video of the suspect.
Stay Safe!

Any recommendation for garage floor concrete repair / waterproofing service...?
The garage has been neglected for a while and the concrete floor looks bad underneath the mat. Is the rubber cover flooring a thing that is sustainable?

Looking for Banquet Hall for 600
Our Waterloo sports association is looking to host an athletic banquet in August or September of 2027 and was wondering what venues are good spots to house up to 600 people for the event. Anywhere in Waterloo Region could work.
We figure the player, their parents and possibly some siblings for 10 teams of 12 players each.
We are a non-profit, so we're hoping to keep costs down for venue booking, but understand that for that size we may need to budget for more.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Guelph, Stratford, or Orangeville for G test?
What location did you opt for your G road test? Did anyone from Waterloo go for any of these?
