And yet somehow these groups never apply it to themselves. I'd like to see a poster that says, "We are a group of approximately 20 angry white people and we're planning to see if the UK and EU will take us back. Join us as we explore our remigration journey!"

Maybe.
Some years ago People were putting up something racist or stupid in New Hamburg. I don't recall, but there was a lot of uproar. Turned out to be one guy in their early 20's IIRC, and he was well known to be an ahole and maybe not all there. So your estimate of 20 people may be off by an order of magnitude.

6
u/Competitive-Ear-7632 New User (2026) 6h ago
Maybe you havent seen what the society promotes and the messages they pass on their social media page and their videos. If you watch it for context, you'll understamd what their aim is and how they want to have people leave by making their life uncomfortable in Canada.
They very clearly specify who they will allow to remain, and who they will work to remove - regardless of consent
6
u/greenpidgeon_ Regular since 2025 7h ago
Lately the majority immigrated population is highly concentrated of people from one particular culture. Without context, this is an opinion. With context, it’s targeting one race. I think this is where the racism comes from
0
u/ShwoopyT Regular since 2025 6h ago
That's not something we can control. I think we should still be able to air our frustration with the level of immigration without being labelled racists. It doesn't matter where people come from, we are taking in too many too fast. Or is the entire topic now taboo?
2
u/dorkywhiteboy Regular since <2024 6h ago
I do agree with this, we have an abnormally high percentage of immigrants from a culture I think we can all agree on. I don’t believe noticing patterns is racist. Patterns such as country of origin being mostly from one group. Specifically targeting a group because of their race sure, that’s text book racism. But there’s white people in South Africa, does that make them less African? And there’s black people in America, does that make them less American?
There’s Canadians born in Canada of all colors. Majority is white.
Same with china, there are Chinese born of all colors, Majority is Asian.
I think this group isn’t going about thier goal in the best ways, but I do understand where they’re coming from.

Shunning people for their opinions whether you agree with them or not isn’t really what being a Canadian is about.

I didn't mean you directly. I'm sorry it came across that way. I more meant that if you harbour racist views, and believe Canada is only for Canadians... my guy, that is super racist and as a community we shouldn't allow tribalism and hatred to fester. Our acceptance and foundation in the freedom of expression is a fundamental part of being Canadian.
2
u/dorkywhiteboy Regular since <2024 5h ago
Yeah but what is a Canadian? I don’t believe that belongs to a race.
To be a Canadian is to respect the rights, freedoms and opinions of others, even if they don’t align with our own, respecting our differences, connecting through shared values, and taking pride in our home.
It’s not about where your ancestors come from, but it’s about what you do when you’re born here, or when you arrive here and that’s what matters most.
While it’s true Canada has gotten a lot more diverse and very quickly, I understand both sides of the argument, some people feel like they’re losing their culture. A lot of immigrants actually think hockey is our national sport. But even white Ukrainians think that, not just people from other places.
I’m not going to condemn someone for having a different opinion from me. I’ll judge them on how their actions, but at the end of the day, we’re all going to be dead.
100 years from now, no one will care about anything that you said, and anything you ever did. And even if they do, you were probably a jerk. Unless you were a saint, but either way you get the point.

Look I agree that we need to be more community oriented without the racism... but in my opinion, if you hold strong racist views... there's no convincing them otherwise. I've tried and I hate to admit it... but some of my own family are racist fucks that I won't talk to anymore. With that said, I'll call them like they are.
If you're so racist that you decided... let's form a group of like minded individuals. It's already too late.
1
u/dorkywhiteboy Regular since <2024 7h ago
Okay that’s fair. But you can’t run around call people nazis and being hostile, it destroys your credibility and you won’t change many minds doing that.
Racism will always be there. It’s human nature. Shutting down discussions about it won’t solve anything either. I strongly encourage you to have open discussions about it with others, you might change some minds, especially your family. You’re right to have strong emotions about it, but your emotions can also take away your credibility if expressed the wrong way.
I know that can sound daunting or be infuriating in the moment, but I have been on the receiving end of aggressive communication just for having a different opinion or not seeing the same information and all it did was make me think those people were nuts and got me to stop listening to them.
An idea can change the world but if the idea isn’t shared it probably will never change anything.
At the end of the day, to have true freedom of expression, you need to be able to agree to disagree.
PS I love you ❤️

>“The truth is, politicians are not thought leaders, or leaders at all. They're followers. We all know this. It's what we hate about politicians. They just have their fingers up in the air, trying to find which way the wind is blowing. But knowing this is the case, what's to stop us from being the strongest damn wind on the horizon?”
>-Daniel Tyrie
Looking further into this Daniel Tyrie, who is apparently the founder and current chairman of Dominion Society:
>“I don’t consider myself a hateful person,” said Canadian activist Daniel Tyrie, who was on one of the panels. “I don’t go around spitting on people of color because they’re in my country.”
>“I just don’t think they belong here.”

You've been really active in this thread, replying to people that explain this to you nonstop. Do you think at any point you could've just Googled them and looked for facts?
https://www.dominionsociety.ca/what-is-remigration#greatreplacement
This is in their website. Do you believe there is a conspiracy by Canadian elites to replace native-born Canadians with immigrants?
Their website contains claims like:
>Immigrants are no longer encouraged to assimilate into the dominant national culture. They now live in ethnic ghettos where they maintain the language, customs and culture of their homelands.
Can you point me to a time where recent immigrants to Canada did not live in neighbourhoods with other immigrants from the same point of origin? Last I checked, Toronto (for example) has a Chinatown, a Little Korea, a Little Portugal, a Little Tibet. And yet, you would think from their website that this is a recent practice. Why do you think that is?
>Canada was once a safe, high-trust society with strong communal bonds. Now it feels more like a multicultural dystopia where unrelated foreigners try and politely ignore each other while living amongst one another. It doesn’t have to be this way.
When do you think this was?
>Our government must prioritize the comfort and wellbeing of Canadians before those of immigrants. We must restructure Canada’s legal, social, and institutional environment to discourage long-term settlement by non-citizens. Key measures include:
- > A national remittance tax on funds sent abroad;
- > Abolish access to social services to all non-citizens including access to healthcare, education, and any economic assistance;
- > A ban on kosher/halal animal slaughter;
- > A ban on foreign-language signage in government services and commercial signage;
- > Strict enforcement of French and English language laws;
- > A ban on visible religious symbols for public employees and in publicly funded spaces;
- > A ban on employment for dual citizens in public service, elected office, and national security-sensitive fields;
- > A ban on new dual citizenships, and the eventual phase-out of existing dual status.
Do you think the government should impose a complete ban on commercial signage in languages other than English or French? That strikes me as weird. Some of these businesses are very old.
> Repeal the Multiculturalism Act
> Repeal the Canadian Multiculturalism Act and remove all references to multiculturalism from federal law, policy, and Charter interpretation. Replace it with a new National Cohesion Act that affirms Canada’s founding as a historically European, Christian, and bicultural (English and French) nation with a common civic identity.
This doesn't ring any alarm bells? You're not sure why someone might come away thinking these people might be racist?

I support immigration, but not open borders when people are not vetted. The majority of Indians coming into NA and Europe don't seem to be improving the land in any way, shape or form. I think it's fair to say this mass immigration is not sustainable and the values brought are lower than the status quo. India, after all, is a third world country.

Japan still allows foreigners to become permanent residents or even citizens it’s just that the rules got stricter and visa fees higher. If you learn the language fluently, pay your taxes and bills on time and not get in trouble with the law you can become a permanent resident or even a Japanese citizen after living there 5 to 10 years. People are asking, how this is considered racist without looking it up, so here are the answers that I found after asking many different search engines, on why it will be considered as racist:
A poster stating that "the answer to mass immigration is remigration" is widely characterized as racist, xenophobic, and extreme because of the specific origins, political usage, and real-world implications of the term "remigration."
While the statement may initially sound like a simple policy debate about legal vs. illegal immigration, human rights organizations, political scientists, and civil rights groups view it as a coded euphemism for ethno-nationalist policies.
Here is a breakdown of why this slogan is understood as racist:
1.It Uses a Euphemism for Forced Relocation or Ethnic Cleansing In modern political discourse—particularly within far-right movements in Europe and North America—"remigration" does not simply mean voluntary repatriation. Instead, it functions as a policy concept calling for the mass expulsion, forced deportation, or pressured departure of non-white or non-native populations. * Targeting beyond non-citizens: Proponents of "remigration" often advocate for removing not just illegal immigrants, but also legal residents, asylum seekers, and naturalized citizens who are deemed unintegrated or foreign. * Historical parallels: Denationalizing or expelling groups based on national origin, ethnic background, or racial heritage aligns with historical precedents of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.
2.Roots in White Nationalist and Ethno-Identitarian Ideology The concept of "remigration" was heavily popularized by far-right networks, including the Identitarian Movement in Europe. * The "Great Replacement" Narrative: This ideology rests on the conspiracy theory that native European or white populations are intentionally being "replaced" by non-white, non-Western immigrants. * Preserving Ethnic Purity: Under this worldview, society is defined by racial or cultural homogeny. "Remigration" is presented as the solution to undo demographic shifts and restore ethno-cultural control to a dominant racial group.
3.Definition of Citizenship and Belonging Based on Identity Racism involves discriminating against or excluding people based on race, ethnicity, or heritage. A slogan advocating "remigration": * Implicitly divides residents into "true/native" members of society and "foreign/unwanted" members based on ancestry, race, or cultural background. * Rejects the principle that civic participation, legal citizenship, or adherence to the law makes someone a full member of a nation. Instead, it suggests that certain racial or ethnic groups can never truly belong and must ultimately be removed.
4.Dog-Whistle Politics In public discourse, language is often sanitized so that extreme views appear palatable. Calling for "remigration" allows proponents to present ideas of mass deportation and racial segregation under a softer, academic-sounding term. Analysts refer to this as a "dog whistle"—a coded slogan that signals white nationalist ideology to followers while maintaining plausible deniability to the broader public.
Summary The slogan is considered racist because it moves past standard policy discussions about border control or legal visa numbers. Instead, it promotes the ideology that a nation's identity is tied to racial or ethnic homogeneity, and that demographic diversity should be reversed through the mass removal of marginalized groups.

People who have seen their videos and promotional media do too
Id say someone from the society itself would also make it obvious. Search engines are just compiling data from the various videos they themselves posted online
2
u/Specialist_Base3244 New User (2026) 6h ago edited 3h ago
Nobody said search engines define it; political historians and civil rights groups do. Search engines are just the means of collecting information. Laughing off documented definitions is just an easy way to avoid admitting what the slogan actually means.

Source & References Breakdown: "Remigration"
1.Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) * Resource / Publication: The "Great Replacement" Narrative & Terminology Explainer * URL: https://www.isdglobal.org/isd-explainer/the-great-replacement/ * Key Findings: ISD explicitly categorizes "remigration" as a far-right term originating within the pan-European Identitarian Movement. They define the concept as calling for the forced deportation or expulsion of migrant communities and naturalized citizens with the intent of creating an ethnically or culturally homogeneous society—describing it as a non-violent form of ethnic cleansing.
2.Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE) * Resource / Publication: Remigration Fact Sheet * URL: https://globalextremism.org/news/ * Key Findings: GPAHE tracks how "remigration" functions as a sanitized euphemism for mass deportation based on ancestry and race. Their research outlines how proponents target not only undocumented migrants, but also legal residents, asylum seekers, and naturalized citizens, grounding the term directly in white supremacist and ethno-nationalist ideologies.
3.Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) * Resource / Publication: The Racist 'Great Replacement' Conspiracy Theory Explained * URL: https://www.splcenter.org/resources/hatewatch/racist-great-replacement-conspiracy-theory-explained/ * Key Findings: Civil rights watchdogs document how terms like "remigration" are built directly upon the "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory. Their reports detail how this ideology frames demographic change as an existential threat to native white populations, using "remigration" as the policy slogan to justify reversing demographic trends.

Dismissing documented facts as 'slop' because you didn't bother doing basic research is classic. Some people will say anything just to avoid admitting a statement is racist.

Regardless. The comment is just copy pasted straight from slop though

Why are you so fixated on how the information was gathered instead of what it actually says? Pivoting to formatting is just a convenient excuse to deviate from the topic and disregard facts you can't dispute.

Ugh probably some immigrant-fatigued loser or (wouldn’t be surprised) some Trump rimmer who’s migrated here to try and revive the KKK in our country. Absolutely disgusting.

Not one thing said about race btw. Mass immigration is negatively affecting our economy. No matter where people come from. Race has nothing to do with it.
People like you get off on silencing people or what? Do you get home and pat yourself on the back?

How is this racist?
13
u/MrHappyFeet87 New User (2026) 8h ago
"Populus noster domus nostra" translates into 'Our People, Our home' in Latin. It's the motto of the Dominion society of Canada, which in itself is ethno national group that formed last year.
It's like asking how being a Nazi is being racist.
2
u/ThrowRA_That_Owl_25 New User (2026) 8h ago
The op says the poster is racist, which it is not.
Why is being in ethno-national group means being a racist?
Opposition to immigration is not racist.
Opposing low quality people immigrating to Canada in large numbers when they dont bring little to no value to Canada overall is not racist.
Of course, it has to be a nazi-like ploy. Nazis killed people not only in their own coutries but countries they occupied. You cant equate nazis to what this poster is calling for. Especially so, because poorly controlled immigration of low quality people is affecting national economy through job and housing market.

u/MrHappyFeet87 New User (2026) 7h ago
The housing crisis isn't just because of immigration. It's much more complicated than that. We need more affordable housing, but that's not a priority for development because there's significantly less profit in it. We need better infill zoning development, yet we get NIMBY protests that don't want that development, so we continue the suburban sprawl.
We can have open discussions about any of these topics... but calling out a racist group, as racist isn't wrong. The Dominion society by their own definition is 'A vanguard movement promoting Canadian nationalism and immigration reform to preserve Canada’s cultural continuity.' I'm sorry... but that sounds quite racist, that's directly from their website.
-1
u/ThrowRA_That_Owl_25 New User (2026) 7h ago
It just sounds racist to you. It's a YOU problem! Nothing wrong with nationalism and most definitely nothing wrong with instituting meaningful immigration reforms that will benefit Canada.
3
u/MrHappyFeet87 New User (2026) 6h ago
Nationalism in itself isn't bad. When paired with tribalistic mentality, it can have horrible results, we can look at history for that. Having meaningful discussions about immigration are also fine... but you're talking about all immigrants out of Canada which would cause our economy to implode.
Is there a problem with corporations and LIMA? Definitely, but thats more corruption and exploitation than we should accept as Canadians. The same could be said about temp agencies and the exploitation of workers across Canada. Why pay employee's benefits, when you can just hire temporary workers.
Does it matter whether my family came to Canada 200 years ago, or yesterday? In my view, if you come to Canada, and want to build a better future in this country, then you're Canadian. We have many ethnicities in Canada... if you say you're for 'Ethnic Canadians'... that's definitely racist.

It is a hate sticker aimed at "reimmigration" which means they want ALL immigrants to go back "where they came from", which is a racist mentality & xenophobic.
6
u/dorkywhiteboy Regular since <2024 8h ago
Wouldn’t that mean ALL immigrants, regardless of race? It doesn’t specify any race

u/FirefighterOk3899 Regular since 2025 8h ago
It is designed to be vague enough that ppl ask this question but in reality, those "who know" know what the poster/sticker is saying/meaning. It is a dogwhistle for white supremacy & xenophobia

White supremacy would probably be a better/more accurate/succinct way of explaining what's going on here. And yeah, white supremacy is racist so...If nuance isn't your thing, learn that this is white supremacy and you'll be all caught up.

It's an old racist trope that has been trotted out time and time again - they try to make it sound generic but they're skinheads who specifically mean brown people every time. We shouldn't have taken Germans after WWII. This place has been cranking out pale dimwit racists ever since.

It is racist. And you need to do some work on figuring out why that's true. I can help you start by saying that it's about mass remigration, the conception of which is rooted in white supremacy. An uncontroversially racist idealogy that I hope you don't subscribe to.

Tbf I didn’t read it as condescending.
I think part of the reason people need to “do the work themselves” is because it’s difficult to do it in these forums without it devolving to defensive arguments. Can’t read tone in text, have to suss out if any response made is actually in good faith.
Reading the resources that already exist and do a great job of explaining these concepts in a way that is intentionally neutral helps cut through the culture war tensions.

I’m all for immigration if we can have newcomers contribute more tax dollars to make up for the rest of us that paid starting at age 16. If you immigrated at age 30, you have a % increase in taxes to cover the difference. Maybe then we can see more funding for all the services newcomers use.

Thanks for taking them down. The Canadian Anti-Hate Network recently issued a report on the Dominion Society, linked from this page: https://www.antihate.ca/dominion_society_of_canada The residents of Hamilton wouldn't let them hold a rally there; we should show the same vigilance.
From the report: "When considering whether to engage with—or address—the DSC, governments and politicians should be aware that the leaders of the DSC have used the words 'hijack,' 'crash,' 'gaslight,' and ' troll' to describe their political activism." Gaslight and troll, you say? 🤔

Colonialists do not historically complain about being oppressed by mass immigration in their home country.
But you are right, Remigration is the wrong word. More like: Those who are staying past their permits must honor the spirit of the agreement they consented to when were given permission to live here, temporarily.

It implies that mass immigration is bad - with no facts or evidence
It implies that white-Christian-trailer-trashism is a culture to be protected and that immigrants are somehow compromising it and need to be removed
To appeal to its base, the Dominion Society is clearly using the colours and font style of Remington Firearms while proposing to forcibly remove people
The Dominion Society openly proposes a Trump style of treating others - and the myth that white Christianity is something worth protecting
Take your pick

The problem is that there were far too many immigrants let in when we didn’t have the infrastructure to support it, housing hospitals ect, we’re seeing more and more of our own population un-housed, and out of work. additionally many were let in unvetted allowing for criminals and others completely reliant on our system and tax dollars. There was little to no integration policy in place causing cultural clashes like for example the dumping of idols into our water ways or disposing of garbage in public parks and forests. People are just frustrated. In the past immigrants were vetted and came because they wanted to be a part of our community and way of life, many (not all) within this latest free for all of immigration have just come for a free ride with little to no respect for our lands and values, and our government failed to put any checks and balances in place to attract positive immigration. I think that’s where the frustration lies. Canadians are for the most part kind and accepting, we built a beautiful country and it’s not unreasonable to want to keep it that way. These stickers are not right, I agree but I can also see the frustration and many of my immigrant friends and coworkers agree and are more annoyed with the current state of affairs then Canadian born people because they came for the right reasons with integrity. I don’t think we don’t want immigrants (hell we’re all immigrants) we just want things under control again. Also, why are people writing that this is racist? There is nothing about race, it’s about immigration, they could be any race, religion, culture ect, just sayin. 🫶🏼

Why aren’t more Canadians frustrated with billionaires and nepo babies like Gaylon Weston, members of Rogers family, Thompson family, Tobias Lutjke, etc?
Canadians are not suffering because of immigration, they’re suffering because these billionaires are quite literally stealing from them.
Our taxes are being used to build pipelines so that oil barons can make more money, meanwhile healthcare, education and other public services are being gutted.
