For context I have my math 100 midterm tomorrow and I’ve been studying nonstop for the past week, but based on how I’ve done on the mock exams I think I’m gonna fail.

I’ve also been doing just as bad on the labs for the course. So I’m wondering is it cooked? Am I built for engineering? And what would happen if I failed this course?

Did not expect the midterm average to be that high for a 300 level biochemistry class...

On my first chem midterm I got an 80% and I got around 80% on my first two labs. I also forgot to do one of my chem homework quizzes so I got a 0%. While I understand these are not the lowest grades I am wondering if it’s still possible for me to get an A.

Historically what has been the lower boundary for an A? I’m getting concerned as I’ve heard many students are unable to get coop in their desired discipline as their gpa isn’t competitive due to rising grade standards.

So I have an interest in Entomology, and applied for early applications for a major in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology (I'm on the waitlist), but after going to the open house last week I found out about ALES and now I'm wondering if I should switch to applying for that instead (I was thinking Environmenal and Conservation Sciences)? My second choice was Planning (Arts) and I've already accepted my offer, although to be honest I am less interested in it than in anything I've read about ALES. I'd probably just be switching that out for something ALES if not for the fact that I don't really want to explain it to my parents (my dad was absolutely adament about planning for some reason. like he would not stop talking about it for literal months before I applied) and also I like that the offer is like there, its like a safe backup plan. Does anyone have like advice for what I should be doing? Or any differences/pros and cons between Ecology and Conservation Sciences? From what I've heard ALES is more hands-on than Ecology but I don't really know the ins and outs.

this might be a stupid question lol but for anyone who’s had Vederas for CHEM 261, how does getting midterm 2 back work?

he mentioned in class that we’ll probably get our marks/exams back the next class after the midterm, but I thought we were also allowed to keep a copy of the exam after writing it, so what exactly does he give back the next class? Is it like an answer sheet or something with your mark on it? Also when he gives them back, do you have to go through a pile to find yours or does he hand them out individually? 😭 I know it’s kinda stupid but I get nervous about other people being able to see my mark lol
