Discussion T-Mobile Call Centers — What Do We Know So Far About the Pay and Bonus Changes?

What do we know so far about the recent pay and bonus incentive changes? Why have sync conversations stopped, and why are so many employees hearing the news without clear answers?
Hearing that people were crying or stopped working after the news broke early Monday morning shows how seriously this is affecting employees.

What is leadership not telling us yet? Are more changes coming? Has anyone received official details about the new compensation structure?

Our paychecks affect our bills, mortgages, and families. We deserve transparency, not rumors and uncertainty.

If you work in a T-Mobile call center, please share what you know so far. Let’s piece together the facts and get some answers

Question Referral and codes question

Hey everyone I’m a new customer looking to switch 3 lines from Verizon to T-Mobile.

I saw a post on here the other day about a 10% referral discount for friends through the T-Life app, but when I checked with my friend who has T-mobile, they only had the prepaid Mastercard referral offer available. Has anyone actually seen the 10% off referral in their benefits, and is there a reason it might not be showing up for everyone? Someone in that thread posted their link and i asked a rep about it in which they responded:

“All existing customers have access to that referral program. They just need to create and share their personal referral link through the referral site.
Once you use their referral link to place your order, the referral offer will automatically be applied if all eligibility requirements are met. Also, please note that the referral link is only valid until November 17, 2026.”

But the whole thing seems pretty ambiguous because i can’t find anything about it online.

I’ve also heard about the 20% inside codes and have tried my luck asking reps through chat, but haven’t had any luck so far. 😅 Any tips or insights?
Appreciate any help!

Question T-Mobile Go5G Plus: Is the $5 Apple Watch Plan Gone?

Hey guys, I was trying to add a smartwatch to my T-Mobile Go5G Plus plan. Originally, I saw an option for $5 a month, but now I can’t find that plan anymore. All I see are the $15 and $20 plans. Did T-Mobile discontinue the $5 watch plan, or is it still available for Go5G Plus customers? I want to add a watch without changing my current phone plan. Thanks!

Question Apple Watch Deal-are there better ones?

I see if I buy an Apple Watch through T-Mobile, I can get a second one for $300 off. This would work well to get both myself and my wife a watch. Does t-mobile have a history of having better deals on Apple Watches, specifically around Black Friday? Not sure if I should take this deal or not.

Question Referral Program issue

So I'm wondering if anyone has ideas for a situation I'm having. I am a corporate employee, and it's been a while since I've helped anyone with the referral program.

Basically, a customer on the 55+ plan told me his friend wanted to refer him so she could get the $100. On the day he activated, she was dealing with medical issues and at the doctor's office all day, so she couldn't fill out the link we sent that day. I didn't realize it had to be done before he ported his number—in my mind, I thought it was like a port-in rebate or other promo where you have 14 to 30 days to complete it.

We tried doing it the next day, but he got an error because his number was already ported. Is there another way I can get this submitted for him or his friend? I emailed RCSolutions just in case, but I haven't heard back yet. If they're completely out of luck, then I'll take it on the chin, but please let me know if anyone knows a workaround!

Question cheapest way to get a vzw or att number?

• Upvotes

Currently have 11 lines on go5g+ and am planning on porting one line out, waiting 90 days, and port back in along with a BOGO line promo so that my account can have 12 lines
What would be the cheapest plan to get a phone number from Verizon or att? Currently I'm leaning towards vzw Simplicty due to the combination of price and plan features.

Has anyone done something similar to this before?
Also any insight into whether I'd be eligible for BOGO promo after 90 days would be great, or if somehow my account will be excluded?

Question Trade in

Did my first trade in since being with T-Mobile. Got the $1200 promo for iPhone. But when I look at my current promotions, it isn’t $50 for 24 months but instead $43 and change, and my current balance shows a negative balance. Is that normal?? Or has anyone seen it like this?

Ty.

Question Assurant inssurance problem

Hi TMobile, I have been paying Assurant insurance from you for years, and never put in a claim until last Sunday after my phone was stolen. I have been on the phone every day since then for an hour because my claim keeps denied. It's not even a brand new phone, its an S24, 128MG.

Assurant keeps telling me that the phone was not active, even after a TMobile representative on a third line, while with Assurant, says that the phone was active, and we even checked the IMEI number.

Can someone please help? I've been with TMobile for years, and dealing with assurant makes me want to switch now.

Question Payment methods have all my credit cards added (They are mostly recently acquired cards)

Today I had to pay my Tmo bill. No, I do not have auto pay established and I'm not sure why I feel the way I do about that, but that's another story I guess.

Something happened that I was blown away about. I've always, for 20 years, only had my bank listed as my payment method, maybe once years ago I used a credit card, but I think that was probable 5 or more years ago.

As I'm navigating the pay my bill, I see that the payment method identified is a credit card I've only used for travel and I've NEVER used with Tmo to pay a bill. I searched my statements to see if Tmo ever was identified by a payment and none were there.

I immediately click to select a payment method option and low and behold the most recent credit cards I have (over the past year acquired) were there. Never once have I added any of these. They were cards from Citi, Chase, BofA and I'm wondering how in the world would those be identified as payment methods without me adding them.

One card I just received two weeks ago because of the points it offered for airline miles and is also listed. If a bank or credit card company is listed as an affiliate can they actually add that credit info for bill pay ?

I've quickly removed all those cards and am really shook up about this. This physically makes no sense seeing I know and keep meticulous records of my spending and which cards is uded, if any, are used for payment of a bill in any way.

Has anyone ever seen this scenario

So after doing a dummy upgrade, there was no down payment for the yearly upgrade? Keep in mind my equipment credit is maxed out rn at 7k. Ngl that’s pretty neat equipment credit is ignored with a yearly upgrade. And how I didn’t know but you learn new things every ig

Question Fraud Case with T Mobile going nowhere - what do I do now?

Hello,

My mother signed up for T mobile three years ago and the authorized reseller location tricked here into paying for 2 tablet lines for $20/month for years. She recently brought it to my attention.

For weeks, overall hours and hours of calls with 611, since the beginning of September, I have called T mobile to rectify this. I have no way of cancelling these lines on the mobile app, it forces me to call them for cancellation.

I have used the chat support in the app, and have spoken with like a dozen representatives on the phone to help me with this case. I have been promised wholeheartedly by representatives with their names and last 3 digits of their employee ID number that this case will be resolved. I was given a case number filed with the fraud department (which i spent hours on the phone on 10/01) and was promised by that representative I would be fully reimbursed for every month and year it was paid and an added inconvenience fee. I was told it would be resolved no later by 10/16 but to expect a response between 10/12-10/16, no later than 10/16. I was told to keep paying my bill even with these tablet lines. By the way, these tablet lines have never ever been used or activated or authorized. My mother owns no tablets. It was never used.

I just spoke with T Mobile 611 again and I'm pretty sure since it reached after hours (12:06) they just kicked me off the phone. No way to cancel these lines, no follow up, no update. I have been logging every phone call, employee name and id # ending, and recorded the last call. I was told (rather threatened) that if I try and cancel the plan on my own that I will lose my phone number. Yet I have no recourse on if I will be reimbursed (even though I was promised) or a way to cancel these lines. At this point I am ready to retain legal counsel but I really am trying to solve this civilly. Like I said, I have a fraud case ID number with a guaranteed response by a rep for 10/16 but haven't heard yet, and as of today there's no update. r/tmobile, what are my next steps? if they are not clear, i have no choice other than to go to small claims. My first contact with T mobile over this issue was early September so it's almost been 60 days since my first written complaint to them.
