Self explanatory I've contacted steam support 9 hours ago they didn't reply here are the details. I download Call of Duty (Warzone 2025 DLC). The download took about an hour and a half, and once it finished, the green Play button appeared in Steam. Since it was late and I had school the next morning, I closed Steam and shut down my PC.
When I came home the next day and opened Steam, the download was showing 37% complete. I tried to let it continue, but it wasn't downloading anything, and the download speed remained at 0 MB/s.
I then tried to cancel the download, but Steam got stuck on "Stopping download" and has remained that way ever since.
I've already tried changing my download region, clearing my download cache, closing Steam through Task Manager and reopening it, and restarting my PC. None of these attempts fixed the issue. When I try to clear the download cache, Steam gets stuck on "Closing Steam" indefinitely.
I'm not sure what caused this, but does anyone know a fix? DM if u need every detail I'm very desperate rn.

Heads-up for anyone whose Steam started crashing instantly at launch after the October 13 client update, where reinstalling Steam, verifying, and clearing the cache all do nothing.
If you’re on an AMD Radeon GPU, this is probably not Steam’s fault. A component in the Radeon driver (GameManager64.dll, AMD’s game-detection hook that injects itself into Steam) goes into a crash loop during Steam’s startup and takes the client down with it. Event Viewer shows it as an ntdll.dll / c0000005 error, which makes it look like Steam or Windows, but it’s the driver.
How to tell it’s this:
Workaround until AMD patches it: let Steam fully start before any of that overlay/peripheral/launcher software loads. Launch order is the whole trick.
I’ve reported it to both AMD (with a full crash dump) and Valve. Posting here so people stop wiping their Steam installs over an AMD driver bug. Anyone else hit this since mid-October on a Radeon card?

Hi, I was updating CoD and cuz the update was gonna take an hour I hopped on another game (with "Allow downloads during gameplay" enabled) and after I hopped off my download hadn't progressed at all and was stuck at 0bps and since then my downloads are completely broken. Like I can't update anything else, I can't clear my download cache (the second image, it is stuck on that forever), I can't even uninstall CoD it just goes back to trying to update it at 0bps. I have enough storage. Do I just need to uninstall steam or what I'm so lost
Edit: I managed to uninstall cod by switching to offline mode and restarting steam, preventing it from trying to update and bricking everything. Still unsure why it happened in the first place sadly but whatevs

The browser, and the mobile app works normally, but the on one on the computer doesn't for some reason. I tried deleting the cache, ending the task, I even redownloaded the whole steam app, but it doesn't work still. Before I uninstalled the app, I was stuck on the logging in screen. After redownloading it is now stuck on the log in screen, when i put in the password and click on the log in, it just stuck, can't log in with steam guard or something because the qr code doesn't load. What may be the problem, my brothers steam works just fine, so it's not the servers. Apologies for mistakes, but I'm kinda stressed out, I don't want to lose my progress in games and games in general. Steam worked yesterday, if that helps finding the cause.

Since Monday I have the problem, that steam isnt opening at all. Since i made the windows update. It always say "prepare for updating" then closes. I need to press steam like 40 times until it logs me into my account and then steam loads and closes itself and thats it. Only after like pressing 300 times it stays open. I dont know how to fix it.

Don't usually post here but I'm getting a bug on steam, when I check the news, it says there's an error and refreshing dose nothing. Idk what's going on here because I have never had this happen before, and when I look up if there is a news bug, nothing happens. The only way for me to get out of this tab, is by either pressing download, or library, download, home, or collections. I checked the steam website, same thing, is there no new bug, is it just my PC/search engine being weird?
Dose anyone else know what's going on? I don't know if I'm the only one

I recently bought a PS5 just to play GTA 6, but I'm primarily a PC gamer. Seeing everything that's happening with the scene, I want to know if it's possible to jailbreak my PS5 and still play online via Steam while running it from the console.
I'm asking because I spend most of my time playing online in Skullgirls, MK, and Space Marine 2-all of which are games I already own on Steam.

Every time I open Steam, I get this Steam Service Error saying that the Steam Service requires maintenance.
Even if I click Install Service and it supposedly installs, the same popup appears again the next time I launch Steam. It's getting annoying having to deal with this every single time I open it.
I've tried clicking Install Service multiple times, but it doesn't seem to solve the issue.
Any help would be appreciated! 🙏🏻

Does anybody else have any fixes? This has happened on my Steam Deck + Steam Machine respectively. Trying to play Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey. I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled it, I’ve moved the files around - it still won’t launch. I press Play, it boots up to the steam icon and then closes the application. I’ve tried forcing it with all proton compatibility options too, same thing happens

Library shows perfectly fine to my knowledge but it's only the library that is shown. My wifi is working just fine and I checked a site called steamstat.us and it looked fine there too. I turned off the GPU accelerated thing and restarted and that didn't work. I updated steam and restarted and that didn't work either. I uninstalled and reinstalled steam which solved the issue but it wouldn't connect to my second internal drive. So when I got that issue fixed, it went back to the problem I currently have now and I still can't fix it. I should note that I use a Linux computer in case that has any bearing and that a game I tried does work online thought it crashed after the match was over and said the reason behind the crash was "access violation". There was also a bit of lag in game which is unusual . This is a repost

Recently, I have been experiencing visual squares on JUST steam games. It has been on Slay the Spire 2 and Hellraiser so far. My V-sync is on for both games and the tearing is also coming with some lag. Also the same type of square tearing is in both games. I haven't found any one with this problem, so any solutions would be amazing.

Hello! For the last 3 weeks I've had issues with games crashing and I need some help.
SOME games in my library have started crashing; Slay the Spire 2 crashes whenever I launch it, Baldur's Gate 3 crashes basically everytime when I try to save, always when it autosaves, other games, especially if downloaded more recently, work just fine. Both games used to work 4 weeks ago. What can I do? I already tried to uninstall/reinstall them and I did the same with Steam. Any suggestions?
My PC is a HP Laptop with this specifics:
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1235U (1.30 GHz)
8 GB RAM
Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB)
If any more info is needed I'll provide it.

Hi guys its my first time posting here, i tried depositing some money but it said that the purchase failed, tried this process 2 times it said wait a bit and try again, i contacted support and had a request pending, then i tried it on my phone and boom it went through. Now i was suspecting that my credentials were obtained by a 3d party. So i tried purchasing through my pc again and it went through this time, keep in mind support had already replied to me. My first 2 purchases were made through marvel rivals so that may be the reason but im paranoid so i would like to know wether this purchasing error is a normal occurence or should i be worried?

i dont really think this question is nsfw but added just in case
a couple months ago my cousin added me to her family acct so i could play a game i can't afford bc im broke lmao. i saw some nsfw games in there too nad i lowkey want to try one but.... im worried she's going to see and its going to be super uncomfortable. she basically raised me so like, idk if im weird for this but i feel like it would be really weird if she saw me playing one of her porn games!! for both of us tbh
so ive been googling to see if theres anyway to make it private but all the questions im finding are like "can my family see games i buy if i mark them private" which is not the situation bc i dont own this game, she does. so what i really want to know is like, is there a way i can play this game & she wont see? like i dont want her to see playtime, achievements, i dont want her to know ive opened the game or even downloaded it. but is that even possible? and if so how??
also my bad if this is the wrong place for this, if it is then pls tell me where to put it!

I cannot log in to the Steam mobile app; I’m unable to get past the Steam Guard authentication step. I can't move sga too. It just shows an error and asks me to try again later—I’m stuck in an endless loop. How can I resolve this?

So, I got an Xbox Ally X a couple of weeks ago, and it's pretty great! I'm amazed at how it can run games so much better than the Steam Deck(this is not to start a fight, it is just an observation), but to get to the point, I saved quite a few clips on it in Steam to eventually send to my Windows laptop and then shorten and share to a Discord server I'm in. However, I originally got a login error despite being logged in on the laptop, restarted Steam on there, and got this error.
"Failed to start upload; A server error occurred (8)"
I had tried turning on Game File Transfer, Cleared Download Cache, checked for client updates, and still got the same error. I tried looking it up online, but found nothing specifically relating to the Ally and mostly found upload issues regarding chats, which I'm pretty sure this doesn't relate to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, please and thank you.

I have been trying to contact Steam about it for awhile to see if it's real, some say the details say it's from a developer in Beijing, although Idk since I never looked before installing as it looked real and was still waking up, I have Bitdefender and adblocker, anyone have proof that it's real that way I can put my mind at ease
