I’ve always had a soft spot for the final-generation 9-5, and I still get excited whenever I spot one out on the road. Such a distinctive design, and one that I think has aged exceptionally well.
I’m not a Saab owner, but I’m about as much of a Saab enthusiast as you can be without actually owning one. I do have a six-speed manual ’15 Buick Regal GS, so I guess there’s a little bit of a connection there!

In love with the car needs a couple of things but it is such a neat car to have! I live in West Texas and not many find SAABS still tearing up the streets but when I pull up a lot of people are impressed! Love this car down!

Hello there - first time posting in this sub. I’m a former Saab owner - twice owner actually in my 20s. First Saab was in the 90s, a 9-3 manual hatchback. Second was a 9-5 wagon a few years later. Loved both so much. Have never loved another car in the same way.
Fast forward to now, in my 40s and realizing my realistic window to have another Saab is slowly closing. So I’ve started my search.
I have my eyes on one, but I just have no idea how to determine what a fair price is before I move forward, since info I’m finding online is limited. I’m located in the US, in Minneapolis, MN.
Anyone have suggestions for me to help determine fair price for Saabs these days?
Spotted this 900 in an artwork at Ashmont station on the MBTA Red Line. Average Massachusetts things.

I have a 1999 Saab 9-5 and I’m in the Algarve region of Portugal.
It’s proving to be difficult to find a mechanic who knows these cars or has the correct Tech2 tool to read all the diagnostic codes.
Does anyone know of a mechanic in Portugal (preferably the Algarve region, but can travel further afield if need be) who might fit the bill? I’ve drawn a blank so far.
Thank you.

I have a 2009 Saab 9-3 sportcombi with the V6 just putting a clutch in it timing kit and reseal kit. Before I parked it I was getting wastegate codes. Does anyone know what a good aftermarket wastegate for these are

Stickers came with it from the previous owner, used it for Rallye in Scandinavia. These are only half of what we got it with.
The Saab owner club in NL is planning to go to the Arctic Circle in Finland early 2027. Dad and I decided to join them and he got this beauty for the trip. Otherwise it would've been the 1992 900 cabrio.

Got a 9000 Turbo and I decided to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor. I was taking the bolts off the small aluminum housing and the heads broke off entirely. I dont want to risk cracking it while drilling it. What do I do? Should I just call it quits and engine swap it?

Okay, trying to fix a 2003 Saab 9-3 linear for my son. We got the oil leak from the turbo taken care of and bought a brand new battery. iIt ran great. In a test run, I came out of the store to no start. No click in the engine, but all the lights on. Then as we were waiting for the tow truck, it started to click, but still no start.
Got it home and same thing, but then it clicked in the engine compartment several clicks, no start and then back to no click. THEN I put it into neutral and it won’t even move!
What the hell is going on? It’s getting worse just sitting there and it was purring like a kitten. I asked ai and it said the tow truck driver may have shoved it into gear while rolling and it may have jammed the parking pawl? Not even sure what that is.
Where should I even start?!? I’m so frustrated

Anyone recommend a shop for engine and/or body work? 1991
Hi guy, recently my 2010 93 TTID developed a coolant leak. I got it checked at the garage and he said it needs an oil cooler. But to me it looks like the hose is leaking (see video pls). Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can source this hose, or is it better to change the cooler as the mechanic said.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I’m looking to lower my 9-3 NG next spring so i’m wondering if i should go for new shocks and lowering springs or coilovers. I dont plan on ”slamming” the car, just a bit lower. And also its just a daily driver, never on a track.
I was thinking Bilstein B4s and Eibach springs because thats cheaper and better for comfort and daily driving (i think).
But then coils would be easier to install and the height can be adjusted which would benefit me at wintertimes. And good quality coils are usually over 1000€.
It’s leaning towards shocks and springs but if anyone has some good advice i’ll take that into consideration.

Hello there! I have a 1996 Saab 900 SE Turbo. My radio works for the most part, the only issue is my cassette deck. The cassette deck does not work. If anyone has a radio of this trim, I think it would be 1994-1998 should have the same trim as they're all the same generation, that would be great!
Anyway, if anyone has one and doesn’t need it, I’d be willing to pay for shipping and cost and all.
Thanks!

One of the many issues with this 9-3 when I purchased it about a year ago was an illuminated airbag light with two ACM codes stored. I had a very similar 07 wagon parts car that I sourced a replacement ACM from. Since replacing the ACM, no codes or fault conditions have been stored/noticed.
My question is... is it safe to drive the car this way? I was ok with the gamble while I took care of other issues, but now the car is pretty well sorted and I'd prefer it to be safe if I were to get into an accident.
If anyone is curious, my car is an 07 2.0 6 speed manual. The car I sourced the ACM from was an 07 2.8 automatic. I did wire the battery disconnect terminal to the ACM because a code was originally stored for that. Thanks!

Has anyone any any experience printing parts and things for your cars? Im looking at replacing the center console coin holder cover on my daughters 08 9-3 2.0t convertible. The rubber has started flaking and its sticky and just generally old. Has anyone went about 3d printing stuff for their saabs?
