My first decent ollie
My first Ollie where I land straight and the tail comes up with my back foot.
Besides jumping and lifting my knees higher are there any tips to you guys have?

October 18th Skate Session
Rough Edit.
This entire block near my apartment was re-paved recently, so of course I had to give it a test run. I'm slowly starting to see improvement in my skating.

Here’s my talk to text theory as I was driving home:
- What I was doing, which works on a mellow ramps, is push rear heel side wheel to the coping and then push really hard with my toes to try to drop in horizontally and get my rear toe wheel to touch the ramp and then pivot on the wheel to get back into the transition, I would push really hard with my toe and then try to swing my front shoulder 90° to get in really quickly, so it felt chaotic and sketchy - horizontal drop in trying to push toe side wheel into ramp + quick 90 turn
- Updated style is to push rear heal side wheel against the coping, but then push down with the ball of my foot into the coping to pivot into the ramp while leaning forward and then push down with my toes to push rear toe-side wheel into ramp as my hips and front foot are coming around to just roll into the ramp rather than slide in and freak out and bail most often or go in and over rotate.
- Practicing this on smaller, but steeper ramps helped me to get the feel and then I gradually worked my way up.

Is this a wood glue and clamp situation? Or is it time to let it rest?

I tried a friend's board and his wheels are currently around 46-45mm while mine are 55mm at first everything felt off but once I got the timing down, the snap and pop felt amazing, everything popped so effortlessly and it felt way easier when it came to doing certain flip tricks
I'm thinking of getting a pair of sub 50mm wheels now, anyone else feel this way? Or everyone rocking bigger wheels these days?

For what it's worth I have practiced dropping in from the disaster position. I just can't lock it in coming up.

Hey, just mounted thunder T-ll trucks on my board and the setup is scary loose. Read somewhere that you have to ride it a couple of sessions before it stiffen up a bit. Also to wait a bit before tighten them. How much time are we talking here? Been riding them for 3 days and still VERY loose. Thanks 🙌

These are some of my better ollies after 15 minutes of warmup. Also, been cruising on my board for like 10 years but started learning tricks a few weeks ago.
Is there anything I’m doing right? Anything I’m doing wrong? Any tips or pointers?

Quick question, how long can you guys do a session for? I've spent longer and longer sessions at a skate park, and now doing more transition skating. I feel absolutely cooked after 2.5hrs with the next day my legs and abdomen muscles just aching. Is this normal, or am I needing more time to.buuld muscles?

How do I get my kickflips to move, is there something with my gravity or something I need?

Making progress on Ollie’s and did get a few rolling but barley off the ground I just gotta commit more to lifting my legs higher and keeping them up for a second at the start of when I fall, but i got the monster drop down too I think it’s called and tbh that made landing much more comfortable as well as just trying to skate every day and get more comfortable with the board

So I just got new shoes from my local skate shop because the sole of my old ones got worn out my left foot (so the one near the nose as a regular), presumably from the rotating when pushing.
Are there any tips to protect the sole? Obviously it will wear down but I'm hoping I can delay it a little...
