I was skateboarding for the first time Today. I have been out with my board a few times before but it was more rolling and figuring stuff out. Today it was the first time i actually skated some distance! I didn’t do any tricks or anything special but i learned how to do navigate a lot better than before.

I know it’s nothing too special and probably won’t get a lot of attention but I wanted to document it.

Hi! I’ve been skating for a couple of months now and I still can’t get comfortable on my board. I don’t know much about it bc I got it secondhand off fb marketplace, but it’s a surfboard shaped retrospec board. I go skating along trails of sidewalk in parks, and I do laps in whatever parking lot I can find. Here’s a couple videos of me skating in an enclosed space. Any tips would be appreciated!

The local skate shop at my place have some boards left, for 250€. Its pretty expensive for a board so I’m wondering if the purchase would be worth it.

My shop teacher gave this to me for $30

As stated , I was wondering what type of plywood I should grab at my local hardware store to make a run up and landing for this table top I have in my yard,
Like I envision two pieces of plywood then the table top then two more plywood’s,
So what plywood does anyone think would be best for this,
And let’s just assume price is whatevs,

I recently bought this because of the hype but i havent seen anybody skate these boards. The resale value on these is absolutely crazy and it makes me doubt wether i should skate it or sell it and get some other gear

I'm about to buy a new skate but I don't know what size I should get.

I just put together a new skateboard—using Spitfire wheels and Meow ABEC 9 bearings—but the wheels don't spin very much. Is this normal?

So im 6 foot 2, size 13, and yeah 47 starting to skate. Im pretty athletic for the most part so im prepared to fall on my ass to be humbled as I learn. Im excited to finally jump in to something I've wanted to do my whole life and wanted some opinions on boards. What would be best for me to start with, and in terms of quality too...no Walmart junk or Temu knock offs. Thanks 🤘

Hi everyone. I'm think about changing boards and would like to maybe switch to an 8 25. I'm currently on an 8 which is part of an old complete i got like 5 years ago and skated on and off. The question is Will i need new trucks?

I don’t know if this would be counted as something specific. Obviously my back foot came off so kinda a no comply thing. I wanna try and do it without my foot planting but I didn’t know if there was a name for this kind of thing.

I’m around 100 kg (220 lbs) and ride Independent trucks with 54 mm wheels.
I’m looking for bushings that will let me turn comfortably on flat ground but also work for riding bowls eventually. My main concern is avoiding wheelbite when leaning hard into turns.
Would you recommend Independent 94A or 96A bushings for my weight and setup? Is 96A going to feel too stiff for comfortable turning, or would 94A be fine?

Just want to know if this is just how it is in the beginning or if I need to change anything. I run and bike a decent amount so my legs aren’t super weak, but the front leg gives out very quickly.

I’ve only skated a few times since I picked it up again.

I think I was trying to do too much, way too fast. I also didn't really give myself enough time to warm up beforehand. I usually like to stretch for about 10-15 minutes before every session.

This is my current setup, I’m on a 8.25” popsicle board and the default wheels it came with are really small and hard, which makes riding on the street hard to stay stable. I ride around my college campus and there’s lots of cracks/bumps on the road and sidewalks, so I want a bigger softer wheel to ride on, any recommendations? Also will I need to swap out my bearings too?

Any trick ideas for it?
