Vans half cab wafflecup?
Anyone have experience with these, if so how they compare to the old half cab pros or the more tighter yet sticker half cab skates that replaced the pros?

Is this a wood glue and clamp situation? Or is it time to let it rest?

I tried a friend's board and his wheels are currently around 46-45mm while mine are 55mm at first everything felt off but once I got the timing down, the snap and pop felt amazing, everything popped so effortlessly and it felt way easier when it came to doing certain flip tricks
I'm thinking of getting a pair of sub 50mm wheels now, anyone else feel this way? Or everyone rocking bigger wheels these days?

October 18th Skate Session
Rough Edit.
This entire block near my apartment was re-paved recently, so of course I had to give it a test run. I'm slowly starting to see improvement in my skating.

Here’s my talk to text theory as I was driving home:
- What I was doing, which works on a mellow ramps, is push rear heel side wheel to the coping and then push really hard with my toes to try to drop in horizontally and get my rear toe wheel to touch the ramp and then pivot on the wheel to get back into the transition, I would push really hard with my toe and then try to swing my front shoulder 90° to get in really quickly, so it felt chaotic and sketchy - horizontal drop in trying to push toe side wheel into ramp + quick 90 turn
- Updated style is to push rear heal side wheel against the coping, but then push down with the ball of my foot into the coping to pivot into the ramp while leaning forward and then push down with my toes to push rear toe-side wheel into ramp as my hips and front foot are coming around to just roll into the ramp rather than slide in and freak out and bail most often or go in and over rotate.
- Practicing this on smaller, but steeper ramps helped me to get the feel and then I gradually worked my way up.

Quick question, how long can you guys do a session for? I've spent longer and longer sessions at a skate park, and now doing more transition skating. I feel absolutely cooked after 2.5hrs with the next day my legs and abdomen muscles just aching. Is this normal, or am I needing more time to.buuld muscles?

So I definitely have a love for gear, I cant even lie. Its so fun to try out new combinations of trucks/wheels/decks' sizes and Ive just picked up these new bad boys: SlimeBalls Sour Milk 45mm/99a. I love how low the board feels with tiny wheels. Its a shame that anything smaller than 52mm isnt as common as it used to be! Heres my current set up:
Baker 8.75 Mellow Concave
Mini Logo 8.75 Raw Trucks
Powell Peralta Dragons 52mm/93a (Bones Reds)
OR
SlimeBalls Sour Milk 45mm/99a (Indy Bearings)
I did have a set of indy 159s on before, and tbh I think I still prefer how the bushings feel in them; the ML Bushings are harder and dont steer as easily, but I dont have nearly as much time on them as i do my indy's so they probs just need more time being broken in. What do you yall think about super tiny wheels like that? I really enjoy the low and wide vibe rn.

Anyone have good recommendations on the wide old school boards. Where to get one for around a $100?

For what it's worth I have practiced dropping in from the disaster position. I just can't lock it in coming up.
