Disgusting display at the Willow Grove Mall!

Shame on the Namdar Realty Group, Mason Asset Management, and CH Capital Group for endorsing the promotion of cults to vulnerable people.

I drive a couple hours from nyc area to Montgomery county often and when I do I always load up at Sprouts by the Home Depot in Montgomeryville. there is always a crazy good deal on something I’m too poor to buy ordinarily, however theres usually only one or two customers whenever I’m there (Please don't let this place close!)

Poblano peppers were $.59/lb!!! Celery $2 a bunch Wagyu beef $3 lb and same with ground bison!

secret gem

Ridge Pike jughandle days are numbered!

While there's plenty of more work to be done on "Segment B" of the Ridge Pike construction... probably the biggest improvement is coming within the next couple months...

The contractor posted this update yesterday.

Ridge Pike will have full access to I-476 and the need for the jughandle will be no more.

They are about to install the signal that will control 476-S access and a left turn lane will give Westbound Ridge traffic access 476-N. ETA "this fall".

It's just "the toy department" at the Macy's with different signage.

The whole department is about the size of a Starbucks.

Anyone have the PECO planned power outage for electric upgrade yet? Ive had one and got notified about another next week. The first time they postponed, giving meþ a total of 3 different dates so far. I would like to hear about the experiences of others.

Options to help sick community cat

Hi- I live in Plymouth and in our neighborhood is a TNR cat colony. One of the cats I haven’t seen in months just reappeared on my porch with a horrible eye infection and facial swelling. He ate soft food and drank water, but it’s breaking my heart to see him suffer. The SPCA just got 40 cats from a hoarding situation so I don’t think they’re in a position to help. I could probably get a humane trap from them, but does anybody know any vets that care for community cats?

Anybody else missed that store? I loved working and shopping there. The restaurant at Louie B's and the budget store.

Local Nail Salon Recommendations For My Wedding!

Hi all! The title sort of says it all. But I’m getting married on the 24th and am looking for your favorite salon recommendations! Out in the Pottstown area, and while my local salon is nice, I notice my nails don’t last more than 2 weeks without chipping or breaking. Probably going to do the classic ✨French tips✨ but also open to what people might think would look cute for a fall themed wedding with all reds and burgundies! No budget in mind, but definitely am looking for somewhere that is good with natural nails!

TIA!

Local I hike… a lot, AMA about trails and parks in Montco, PA

This is an AllTrails screenshot as I’ve been chipping away at Montgomery County, Chester, Bucks & Berks and then up in NEPA, the Poconos and parts of the AT.

I’m an ex finance guy who converted to professional petsitter and dog walker. I’d be curious if anyone could compete with this as this heat map all started since moving back in Nov 2021. Almost exactly 5 years of effort.

Favorite local state park is Green Lane. I also have two spots that aren’t gate-kept, but also not listed on AllTrails.

Hey all, I’m looking to get a pet portrait tattoo. Any recommendations? Preferably on the 422 corridor, but up near Pottstown and can expand the area around there. Thanks!

Indoor lap pool near flourtown

I live in Flourtown and I’m looking for an indoor lap pool to train for a triathlon. Are there any community pools or open swims at the local high schools? If not any gyms that are not as expensive as lifetime that have a lap pool?

Local Where are the twenty-somethings hanging out?

I'm 29 and been living in Abington, near Jenkintown, for the last year, and was in Glenside for 2 1/2 years. Lately I've been feeling lonely and trying to get out more- I have a group of friends I volunteer with in West Chester, but trying to find somebody local too. (Also been trying to go somewhere I can naturally meet women, because that group and a lot of my hobbies are unfortunately pretty male-dominated.)

My question for those who are also in their 20s in the Abington/Jenkintown/Glenside area- where are y'all just hanging out casually? I thought some of the cool bars in Jenkintown or Glenside might have some young people hanging out, but most of the people I ever see there on Friday and Saturday nights are middle aged.

Are there any hangouts in the area you recommend? Or is everyone just going to Philly on weekend nights?

Basement Waterproofing services in montco?

We recently moved to the area and discovered that our basement gets water during heavy rain storms. We’ve been getting quotes and wanted to see if anyone had any input on who to work with (or who to avoid)

AJ - no quote received after we paid for a consultation. Followed up but haven’t heard back.

Basement Waterproofing Specialists - thorough solution that we liked, but most expensive and potentially overkill (underpinning on a stone foundation?, alongside 18” of trenching alongside our basement perimeter)

Groundworks - good solution, good price, but a little predatory in their pitch (act now! Or miss out on this discount)

Jamison - coming out this week to give us their opinion / quote. I anticipate it being similar to groundwork’s price wise.

Ultimately we just want a dry basement that we can re-finish and use as living space. Any recommendations/input/past experiences would be appreciated. TIA

Where would you buy if you wanted Montgomery County access but a lower entry price?

I've been touring communities around Boyertown, Gilbertsville, and Bechtelsville and recently came across Spring Garden Meadows by D.R. Horton.

What stood out:

Brand New construction townhomes

Boyertown Area School District

Right on the Berks/Montgomery County line

Easy access to Route 100

2-car garages

Curious if anyone else has toured it or lives nearby. It seems like an interesting option for buyers who want proximity to Montgomery County but don't necessarily need to live in Montgomery County itself.
