looking to downgrade my 18inch stock bridgestone tires and stock rims to 17inch continental extremecontact and liquid metal halo rims. Would that look good or would make the car look weird? Just looking to get better ride quality and just want sum new rims.

I bought Lola used back in April of this year. She was a huge upgrade from my 2006 economy Kia. I was THRILLED with her. I was so excited to drive her for the as long as I could.

Unfortunately, a pickup truck had other ideas. I have a new appreciation for the crumple design of this car. It was amazing how well protected the passenger areas were.
I plan on replacing her with another Mazda3 hatchback again.

Went with my family to the Tail of the Dragon today and saw two Third Gen Mazda 3s and said hi to them.

I have these showing from the bottom back of the driver’s and passenger’s seats. I try to fold them back inside but they always end up coming out again. What are these and how should I hide them?

This is a 2023 Mazda3 GS sedan in Canada btw.

Picked up a 152k mile tired but awesome 2014 2.0 petrol last week, just busy refreshing and servicing everything, new fluids (engine, gearbox, coolant, brakes etc), spark plugs, filters and put new front discs and pads on it, next week is suspension bushings, drop links, top mounts and new shocks and then tyres.

Following that is the important bit, a light cut and polish and full valet.

It's old (like me), it's a bit battered and tired (also just like me), but it's all mine and it makes me happy.

Just wanted to share with you how excited I am about my new car. It was a bit of a hassle as I had to travel to a different city and then come back in the very same day... it was as exhausting as rewarding 😁

This Mazda 3, although the immatriculation is dated in 2017, this model seems to be from 2016, right before the restyling. I thought I was going to miss a lot of functionalities but so far everything is to my liking, I indeed discovered feature I wasn't expecting (Android Auto, Lane Assis...)

This one has AT transmission, gas, not diesel, and the version is the 2.0 LUXURY and has 110000km (ballpark) When I got there, I started to drool 🤤 the car itself felt more impressive than in the pictures, when someone is with me in the car or I drive around, people seem to like it.

The car only has minor scratches than I'll be taking care of soon. As you may know, the market in Europe isn't very competitive, prices skyrocketed and the only accesible cars are hideous BYD like the Dolphin, and this checked all the boxes. I didn't want to spend more than 15k€, I wish I could've purchased a newer version, yet... I think I'm in love 😁

I'm currently in the market for a new vehicle and could use some real owner opinions. I recently test drove the Mazda3 Turbo hatchback and the 2026 Camry XSE and liked them both for different reasons. I've test driven a bunch of other cars too, but from the very beginning I keep coming back to the Mazda3 Turbo hatchback. It's the one I love the most.

For some context, I'm in the Bay Area. I travel often for work, mostly on weekends, so there are some long highway drives in the mix. I feel like I need AWD with the mountain drives and windy roads I take often. Decent gas mileage and something that'll be reliable long term. Space isn't really a requirement since I'm a solo driver.

If you own one of these, do you love it? Do you regret your purchase? I'd love to hear what kind of real-world gas mileage you're getting, whether you've had any reliability issues, and how comfortable it is on longer drives.

This is a big purchase for me and I really want it to be a good long-term one. Any input or other recommendations are welcome. Thanks!

I live in DFW where it’s basically ragged streets and potholes so I don’t want to end up feeling every nook and cranny but I also want to be lowered just a tad

Didn't turn out as i planned, but gawd, they look very nice.

I was going for gunmetal gray but a bit darker. But curiosity got the best of me ... mixed gray, black and a dashes of green and that's the color I got .... i was scared at first, but i love how they turned out.

I also noticed that they have a different tone when sunlight hits them vs night time.

Ive got a 2015 Mazda 3, I want to install carplay but I know I need to update the firmware first but wanted to know if its worth doing myself and how I could do that or if I should just get a dealership to do it for me

Expected this to be an issue based on youtube reviews, but then I thought if it's so bad then why is it considered a good first car? I really liked how the car drives, looks and interior. I've had family involved in car accidents before so the exceptional safety rating was a pleasant surprise.

I can see myself getting used to the thick front pillars, but the back is disastrous. The car has blindspot monitoring (including the reverse traffic thing), reverse camera and sensors so I'm guessing it makes the visibility a much smaller issue. Do you actually get used to that massive back pillar though?

Final question: is the blindspot monitoring something you can trust (i.e. you don't need to check over your shoulder)?

When I got to the dealer, the gray car that I got the offer for was damaged. They had only 3 white cars left and nobody wanted white cars. They offered to transfer a gray car from another dealership, or sell me a white car with an extra $500 discount. I picked the $500.

(Come to think of it, maybe they lied about the damage and just wanted to get rid of their white cars. A salesman told me that someone screwed up and ordered too many white cars).

I ended up trading in my 2019 GTI at the dealer at $1000 less than what Carvana offered me for. The GTI had a minor dent and Carvana might lowball me when they pick up the car, so I didn't want to take my chances. The Carvana offer was ridiculously high anyway ($1200 more than CarMax).

I'm looking to order the Bayson R TH Style Rear Lip and MS Style Spoiler for my 2020 Mazda 3 Hatchback (currently being shipped from Japan to my home country), but I wanted to double-check fitment before pulling the trigger.

Does anyone know if these parts will fit a JDM model without any major modifications? I know sometimes the bumpers or mounting points can differ slightly between the USDM and JDM versions. Any insight from someone who has tried this would be greatly appreciated!

The battery in the car fully died, even even the key fob wasn’t able to lock unlock the car. I boosted the battery to start the car now I’m seeing this message on the dash “ Engine malfunction. Have vehicle inspected”. Anyone else experienced the same and how did the message go away?

I have 2nd hand Mazda 3 2018 CX Japan built, with ebrake (I don't think it matters, but just in case, providing this info). While replacing the rear brakes, one of the pins with plastic end (ie with silencer) was at the top, and on the other side, it was installed at the bottom.

Now, I am trying to find how it should be, but can't find a definitive answer. Do we have any mazda technicians here who could provide the insight? I have 2014 service manual, but it's not specified in there either.

So should a calliper bracket pin with silencer installed at the top (trailing) or bottom (leading) position?

My calliper is behind the wheel, not in front, so the top pin is trailing, and the bottom one is leading.
